Absolutely exceptional stay!

The location was phenomenal and the unit had everything we needed and beyond. My only small complaint was that the beds and the second bedroom were extremely firm. Obtaining the keys was a bit of a scavenger hunt, but we liked the challenge! Such a charming, beautiful rental! I highly recommend it to anybody!

Very hard beds and pillows in 2nd bedroom.

Comfortable accommodation within easy walking distance of all shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Good sized apartment, two bedrooms, one is ensuite with toilet, sink and shower. Second bedroom is opposite bathroom which has toilet, sink and bath with shower over. Both bedrooms have tv and there is also a tv in lounge with ability to record programmes. Easy parking and within walking distance of plenty of eating and drinking places.

Would be useful if fridge had a freezer compartment.

Great location and super apartment! Really cosy and nicely done out.

The only thing I would say was the beds were a little too hard but other than that everything was really good

Home from home in the lovely village of Ballater

It was really homely, right next to the river Dee which we could see from the sofa. Well equipped kitchen, good shower and spotlessly clean

Overall we had a nice stay but these little things listed above could improve ones stay.

Nice location ideal for our stay. Nice clean apartment.

Only a fridge with no freezer compartment and in hot weather could do with this facility🙁. No mirror in twin room. 🙁No dressing tables in either room.🙁no hooks in main bathroom for hanging towels☹️

Very comfortable stay in a good location in Ballater. People in the village were very friendly.

Location was perfect for Ballater and plenty of parking. Very quiet location. Plenty of good quality pubs, restaurants and coffee shops near by. Also close to very good walks.

Bed linen was a bit tired. I don't know if there has recently been a lot of breakages but there was only 2 breakfast/dessert bowls, no mixing bowls. It would of been helpful to have a manual for the washing machine.

Our first visit to Ballater

Nice and warm; well taken care of. The location was amazing, right by the river. I couldn’t have chosen a more picturesque place to spend the holidays. We will return at some point.

A bright, cosy, well located apartment.

Montclaire is well located by the river within walking distance of all that Ballater has to offer. The apartment was cosy. Nespresso machine and pods were an asset.

The floors and the fridge were not very clean. Some instructions for the dishwasher and washing machine would have been helpful. Hand wash, more washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets, and an extra toilet roll for each bathroom would have been appreciated.

Great base for getting around the area. We knew the area very well and would recommend Montclaire

Great base to visit old friends in Balmoral and play a couple rounds of golf. Great base and would definately use again.

Front door is hard to open with the key.

Nice, warm & comfortable apartment with a good location but just needs some more attention to detail.

Quiet, comfortable stay with a good location

There were cleaning issues with the apartment. The hob and especially the oven were in poor condition, needing a very good clean. We were only there a couple of days and didn’t need to use the oven however it would have been an issue if we were staying longer. There were some other small cleaning issues. However, these shortcomings are easily fixed and would not put me off booking in the future.

Highly recommend this flat, so much good stuff about it. Had a great time here.

Good location, just a short walk to the main square. Comfortable throughout, great views aswell.

Only slight disappointment was the shower.

Lovely apartment in a great location

Location excellent as were the facilities in the apartment (or at least those that were working!)

Washing machine was broken, owner offered to reimburse cost of going to laundrette but we decided not to take the offer up. No clothes airer in the apartment which would have been useful to dry our hand washing

Had a lovely time and would definitely use the same accommodation again.

Very comfortable flat in a perfect location. Everything that you could need for a comfortable stay was there. I contacted the host with a question and he could not have been more helpful. Happy to recommend.

Great location, excellent apartment

Great location, excellent apartment, great facilities, very comfortable, very receptive LL when spoke to him on the phone

Had a few issues on arrival: could not get keys from safe box since the apartment had not been cleaned by the time we arrived and the code had not been reset. This was quickly attended to and a partial refund provided. Made a few other suggestions directly to the owner.
