Hotel was good value for money, the receptionist on the seatuday night and Sunday morning (same person) was lovely so friendly and helpful.
The receptionist that checked us in had a bit of an attitude problem wasn't welcoming in the slightest. Looked bored to be there and unhelpful.
The place was clean but outdated needs to be modernised. The shower pole fell off as tried to adjust the height of the shower.

Good breakfast
The property is very dated, our room was very drab and needed re decorating and the double bed was quite small

Room was nice and big and clean. Breakfast was lovely. Menu on an evening could have a few more choices and cheaper
Didnt like the area at all. Nothing else there

Convenient
Very dated, bathroom was not the cleanest. Tufts of hair etc on the floor.

Very friendly, lots of space
Very tired bathroom and some parts of public areas

Staff very friendly, food was good.
My room seemed to be level with a residential house, where early evening they were revving their car engine for quite some time, after 8 hours of driving not what I wanted when arriving at the hotel. 8 in the morning beeping their car horn waking me up. Curtains also didn't fully close, I had to use one of the chairs to push up against the curtain to keep closed as felt very uncomfortable with a house directly opposite and someone clearly out there working on their car all afternoon. Bathroom could do with an update.

Straight forward hotel booking and experience. Room was functional and everything worked fine.
We were going to the Open Golf so we were disappointed the hotel could't offer an early breakfast. Instead we had a v basic packed lunch.

Very god breakfast with a very good range of food.
I had booked for room only and only due to my honesty did I pay for breakfast because no one checked whether I had eaten or not.
Very comfortable bed.
Toilet was placed very close to a wall. Very uncomfortable.
Evening meals in a room whereby all manners of badly clad people mingled.

We use this hotel quite often and we always find it great, they are gradually refurbishing areas and up to now those areas are lovely, it's relaxing and the staff are so friendly, the latest area to be done is the breakfast area and I must say a lovely job and they serve a superb full English, locally sauced ingredients.
Only problem for us was they have replaced the pots of coffee in the breakfast room with coffee machines, easier for staff who work incredably hard but not for coffee lovers like us, the coffee was hot but didn't really taste like coffee, but a small thing in the scheme of things.

Staff very friendly and professional in hotwl, restaurant and bar
Place is clean to a high standard
bit basic - but for the price is was fine! Better than expected. Little things like no sockets by bed to plug in mobiles, furniture a bit basic...but it wa sckean, comfortable and had everything i needed

Really nice place, everything clean
Maybe petty but pillows were like stone, very uncomfortable. Headboard was broke on one side. Our room was really far from reception other side of hotel so wasn't worth the hassle of reporting

Very clean room, amazing breakfast choice.
No extra blanket and room was cold when we arrived, it soon heated up once we turned heater on, but could have turned it off overnight if there had been a blanket, the quilt was very light.

Large comfortable room, well located hotel, plenty of car parking. All staff very friendly and helpful, particularly restaurant and bar.
Some parts of this hotel still require a little TLC. Shower over whirlpool bath very basic. The view from courtyard bedroom nil. Get down from breakfast early otherwise food will be cold!

Cooked breakfast o.k. Room very clean. Hotel staff very pleasant.
Room was clean but getting shabby. Bath lacked any place for soap etc. and no handles to assist. Breakfast lacked any cold meats, salami etc. Self serving the hot drinks was a bit of a "faf"

Staff were all really friendly and were working extremely hard as the hotel was full. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent.
Only a minor criticism but the rooms are looking a little tired. However the sleep was very comfortable and quiet.

Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and clean room. Has a rapid charging point in the car park that worked well.
The water pressure was quite poor in the shower! The sofa in the room had a bit of a damp aroma to it.

Very outdated. needs a full revamp. even the lighting was poor. felt like you were stepping into the 70’s. it was so outdated and rundown that it felt dirty.
