Fantastic garden and spa area
As it was a new years eve diner we expected a countdown or celebration at midnight.

The restaurant is exceptional and to relax drink great wine it makes sense to stay. The town is charming but we used it as a gateway for three days in Burgundy wine country and tastings

The staff, gardens, spa & restaurants are wonderful. The room was very large and nice. Top quality staff without feeling stuffy or uptight. Service provided with humor and quiet competence. Would love to visit again.
Shower needs to be upgraded, floors should be mopped and the spa needs a receptionist to book and direct guests to their treatments.

Lived up to its reputation, world class spa facilities.

Hotel was nice and cozy
Very rude and unprofessional staff at the hotel.
No one spoke English in a five star hotel with limited service time available.
Wanted to check out at 7 am, no one at the front desk was available. A representative from the hotel approached us with a very rude tone and did not want us to leave unless check out was completed although having all my personal details on file. With a lot of unprofessional back and forth he let me leave with my wife. A few hours later the receptionist called to process the payment which was no issue.
Prior arrival no one at the desk was helpful to book a table for dinner in any of the restaurants they offered stating its fully booked. Not to mention we had a suit in the hotel, I had an argument with the lady who barely spoke English and didn't want to do any effort to book us a table. I informed them that I will cancel my visit and won't come to later receive a call an hour later to say a table is booked.
Long story short we had dinner and there were three empty tables all even just goes to show you the level of service this place offers.
For the price you pay for the hotel and restaurant I am sure you can find a better place.

The decor was thought through and achieved in quality.
The ambience was very good and one relaxed. The garden is a good feature.
Breakfast, and I had the standard continental rather than the de luxe version, was good. Pleasant to have different jams to the standard offering.
Nice bathroom with both bath and shower.
Excellent dining facilities.
There were no bath towels in the room (just 2 hand towels). I discovered the problem too late to correct it. I reported the issue on check out. I could not count what the receptionist said as an apology. "Next time" was not the issue.
The electrical layout in the bedroom is out of date and switching lights on and off was a labour intensive thing. Some did nothing and getting out of bed to sort out the lights is not something one expects to have do in a room charging over £150.
The duvet was a thick winter affair; there was no top sheet which one could use instead. I found good use for half of the duvet as a supplement to the mattress and used only half of the other half to avoid overheating. Again in hotels with high room prices I'd expect these days a pillow menu instead of one size fits all ( in my case it was a disaster). I slept poorly and only for short periods.

Very comfortable and spacious rooms, decorated to a high spec. Stunning gardens and gorgeous outdoor pool area.
Most staff were delightful, but a couple were a bit snooty and unhelpful, and the rules around breakfast were very confusing.
