schönes modernes Stadthotel

insgesamt modernes, gut gestaltetes Hotel. nette Bar, großes Zimmer.

Die verwendeten Reinigungsmittel sind extrem aromatisiert, nix für Allergiker. Zimmer leider zum Innenhof mit Blick auf Haustechnik.

A great choice

Breakfast has a huge variety, and it even includes typical Spanish food like presunto and churros. The croissants are to die for! The location is excellent, the hotel is located in a quiet zone near plaza mayor. The staff is friendly and everything was very clean.

Breakfast was amazing; many selections ( fruits, veggies, eggs, cold cuts, cheese, sweets, bread, freshly squeezed orange juice, tea, coffee, even churros, etc One the departure morning, I asked to make sandwiches for I wouldn't have time to have breakfast there, they made a picnic package for me. Gym is okay, sauna, jacuzzi etc, wonderful amenities..

Restaurant's opening time. Dinner from 8pm is too late, even though that is the custom in Salamanca. I wanted to open the winders of hall way more on the 3rd floor for the fresh air and oder.

Great location, close to the city centre.

Great room, with fantastic views of the city, all st in a lovely building. The secure car was a welcome bonus.

The character of the building wasn’t reflected in the decor and styling of the room, was was fine, but a bit bland. However the worst part of the whole stay was the quality of the breakfast, with the coffee itself being decidedly average.

Beautiful liocation, wonderful views, very comfortable. Very close to the bus terminus so convenient to cross into Portugal or visit other towns nearby.

my stay was really quite magical.

Lovely spacious room. Excellent breakfast buffet. Although at first this hotel seems far from the action (the handout map looks as coherent as a bucket of worms), I quickly got my bearings.

Ugly orangy red wall to wall carpet. Drooling taps in bathroom.

Beautiful city. Do not miss Museo Art Nouveau y Art Deco, a wonderful collection of 1920's ceramics and furniture with videos of dancing inc Sophie Ellis Bextor and Brendan Cole's gorgeous Charleston.

Dinner in the hotel is for large group parties only. For others there is only pub grub in the hotel bar.

Great hotel in a beautiful city.

Prefect location for our first visit to Salamanca. Parking under the hotel is secure and safe. The cathedral and Plaza Major within an easy 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Great room with a fabulous view of the city.

Can't change temperature

Great hotel near city centre, helpful staff, great and comfortable rooms.

Room temperature is standard for everyone, which means you simply cannot choose or adjust it. Our room was so hot that we had to open the window. Apparently this is common in Spain, but it doesn't make it more acceptable. Paying guests should be allowed to choose which room temperature suits them better. Otherwise great place to stay, but temperature is not just a detail.

Great place for a stopover or more.

Opted out of breakfast BUT Booking.com website quoted 15.50 euro and reception offered us 12 euro. However on previous stays we have had breakfast and plenty to chose from both hot and cold buffet. We just wanted to continue with our journey as early as possible.

Nothing to dislike. Garaging option which we chose for 18euro. Hotel spotless, house keeping exceptional. Reception extremely welcoming. Have stayed here on many occasions pre Covid and never disappointed.

Perfect Hotel in Perfect Location !

Everything about the Abba Fonseca was superb from the room comfy bed, breakfast and staff, all excellent and to be able to park the car safely and so near the old city was a real big PLUS. Lovely walk up to the old city, we loved it !
