A nice comfortable accommodation offering, needing just a few small tweaks

Beds very comfortable, blackout curtains excellent and like having a bath in the room.

Paper cups in the room for making a cup of tea. Also, being charged extra for milk. It would make the stay more comfortable and conducive to a happy atmosphere if a nice café were to be available all day.

La ubicación, aunque no es céntrico se llega dando un paseo a los monumentos históricos de la ciudad, hay aparcamiento cercano en la zona y se ve una zona nueva y tranquila. Hay algunos sitios donde desayunar o cenar y supermercados en la calle de al lado, que siempre va bien para cualquier cosa que se nos haya olvidado o necesitemos. Aunque los sanitarios son de primera calidad, y contar el baño con ducha y bañera independientes que ya es un extra bastante bueno, hay detalles que deben cuidarse, como acabados o algunos aspectos que dan sensación de dejadez.

Al llegar nos costó entrar ya que la entrada para equipaje estaba cerrada por el exterior y por la puerta giratoria de hace muy complicado entrar con la maleta. Mientras nos miraban dos personas del personal del hotel desde la recepción. Nos encontramos un par de papeles en la papelera de la habitación, y la verdad que no nos hizo ni pizca de gracia. He llegado a ver sábanas mas gruesas que las almohadas, y no llego a comprender como dejan un “cojín-almohadón” súper cómodo metido en el armario cuando la habitación era para dos personas. El suelo de madera entre la cama y el armario tenía un desnivel, y da muchísima sensación de dejadez, y por último comentar que en pleno mes de julio el aire acondicionado iba fatal, pasamos calor en la habitación aún poniendo el aire acondicionado a mínima temperatura y máxima potencia. Con temperaturas que rondan los 40 grados en la calle y en una habitación en la que da el sol de lleno toda la tarde. Una pena, porque quitando algunos detalles estos comentarios se habrían evitado.

We ate in the restaurant that evening and then waitress was exceptional. She was also st breakfast.

Breakfast as expected. Location remote. No outside relaxation facilities. No restaurants nearby.

Receptionist unhelpful and rude felt she was insulting to us. After entering the underground car park we were left in the dark and couldn’t find the lift as we were in darkness. Phoned reception lady came down as and we felt she found it very amusing. We are in our 80’s and felt we deserved better.

Pleasant

Although I feel the hotel needed an update regarding decor and refurbishing, it was quite pleasant. Very friendly and great breakfast. Withing walking distance to city centre and very safe environment.

Lovely, clean and friendly Hotel, just outside of old historic town, walk across the Roman bridge!

Hotel very well presented. Loved the wooden decor in the rooms. Bedroom comfy. Good shower and bathroom. Reception staff friendly and helpful. This was just an overnight stay on way back to Santander.

Did not like have to use the QR code for everything. It did not work great for us and after a long drive from Lisbon last thing we wanted to deal with. Just wanted to see what was available in the restaurant. Cafe area tiny not really a restaurant probably due to few guests? Had to press a buzzer to summon waiter?? Another QR code on the table! Waiter/Bar attendant could not speak english. Felt sorry for him trying to help us. However, when he showed us the menu he understood what we wanted. Burger was not cooked through and had to be returned.
