One of the worst place where I have ever stayed

Old infrastructure. Badly maintained and quite dirty.

The shower was dirty. I received stained towels. The breafast is one of the worse I ever had with insects flying over fruit.

Very central, yet quiet area, especially if your room looks on the inner light well rather than outwards. Wi-fi worked well and so did the lifts. Also, the old metal encased radiator worked fine (of its on accordance, there is no wall thermostat in the room). Both bathroom, room, linen and common spaces were spotless.

The hotel furniture, doors, textiles, ...every part of it is from the late 70's. It gives a feeling of shabby sadness. The bed wasn't the most comfortable unfortunately and the TV showed no channels, phone had no tone when I tried to ring reception.

Location OK in a basic hotel but for our overnight needs it was fine.

The hotel is in a good location close to the train station and main area of town, not far to walk to marina etc.

Rooms are very basic with minimal extras, but room rate probably reflects what you get.

great room, helpful staff, fantastic location

fresh linen daily , room was kept spotless and the beds were very comfy

perhaps a kettle in the room with two cups would make it the best stay ever

Good if you're on a stag or hen do. Not for comfort. Breakfast is good

The rooms looked like thay hadn't been changed since the 70s

The shower pressure was awful. All too old. I didn't like hearing the pigeons through the wall

Clean, comfortable, no frills, central location and 15 mins to the marina

A good central location. Not as close to the marina as I would usually stay but this hotel had last minute availability and was perfectly adequate. A little dated but exceptionally clean. My room had a small balcony with brilliant views of the Castle and city. Staff, including housekeeping, were absolutely excellent and very helpful. No frills hotel but absolutely fine as a base. Air conditioning in the bedroom was perfect.

No water on arrival or refrigerator in the room but expected at this price point. Quite lightweight door to the room so I heard some noise as people used the corridors. there is a second door to the bedroom section so bedroom was peaceful enough at night.

All in all we had a nice stay, can't say anything wrong for the price.

Friendly staff, downtown location, just a few steps from several types of shopping and dining opportunities. It's located really close to the Luceros tram station and the train station isn't far also. The old town is within a walking distance too. The beach (Playa del Postiguet) is well within a manageable walk.

Could be noisy but just a tiny bit and with the balcony door open - downtown location; we had no serious issues though. Some guests generated more noise than the occasional traffic outside - not the fault of the hotel. Indeed, the design is dated but the room was clean.

I'd definitely go back again.

It's bang in the centre which is good, but a bit noisy. The room was basic, but great value for money. The bed was comfy and the bathroom stuff worked.

The WiFi was a bit hit and miss. We couldn't get the Smart TV in the room to connect to Netflix reliably so had to use a mobile phone as a hotspot for that.

Disappointing

Hotel was advertised as having a bar ,however it was only open between 7 and 10 in the morning for breakfasts. Therefor on returning to hotel we had to go to our rooms to relax.

Felt like a king in Alicante, without living in it's castle...

Unbeatable position, within 5-10 minutes walking to everywhere, right next to the strategic Plaza de Los Luceros, where all trams stop, easy fast and cheap trip to San Juan Beach (fantastic), supermarket 3 minutes away. Not a new hotel but impeccably clean and even with a "Franco Era" old-school charm. Got an unrequested upgrade to my room. Cleaning staff always smiling and clearly treated well (very important for me), very helpful and polite at the reception. A total bargain, for the price: recommended!
