The suite was well laid out with a bathroom area/library and bedroom separate from living area. The room and hotel are full of lovely touches - moorish doors and windows, books, and local art and furnishings.

A nice gem in the middle of the old town. The room was like straight out of an arabic tale, so many nice details, really spacious, because of its location it overlooked parts of the city. It was bright, modern and really comfortable. Would definitely go there again! And the rooftop is one of the best in all of Tangier. They even have a small turtle that lives there and comes out during the day.
The breakfast missed some cheese and ham - it would have been great to have a little more options. Also my room was underneath the kitchen which caused it to be a little bit noisy in the morning hours. But this was just a minor inconvenience.

The location was very good.
Comfort could have been better. Basic stuff like TV and coffee/tea maker were missing.

A wonderful experience in the Medina. The guesthouse itself is full of antiques and charm. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful so it was a sad goodbye. The rooftop has spectacular views in every direction, amazing for breakfast or a cocktail at sunset. We fell in love with Dar Nour and Tangier.
We had no trouble but there are many narrow stairways. Probably if one has mobility issues, the Medina isn’t the best place to stay.

The staff were very welcoming and had paid a lot of attention to the detail in the design and layout of the rooms and spaces. It was a much loved place. I think the breakfast was the best fresh fruit salad I have ever eaten. The rooftop terraces were a great place to relax and see the city. Even though there was a breeze because of the coast being so close, we could have stayed up there most of the evening. Highly recommended.
Slightly difficult to find, but we were helped by a local guy. The location is very tucked away in a beautiful part of the Old Kasbah, but quite easy to find again after just one trip out. It reminds me of Greece and Ibiza in terms of lots of white and blue painted stone architecture.

Breakfast on the rooftop was amazing and so peaceful. At the end of the day, sitting on the roof is so relaxing with the cool breeze. The staff were so kind, helpful and welcoming. The wifi would sometimes disonnect, but overall very good 👌. The location and those small allies to get to the Dar were so breathtaking and reminded me of my hometown Damascus.. but yours were very taken care of not gonna lie lol. The things that I felt missing were the bidet for toilet, would have been nice to experience to take a break from the European toilets. Oh and in the bathroom, would have been nice to have something to scrape the water. Shukran kteer ya shabab inshallah nazourkom marra ukhra!

a little awkward but we knew it was in the old city so expected

Excellent staff, service, and breakfast. Exceptional terrace views.
Should let people know up front they need to pay for breakfast and what the cost is. Very bustling place with eating areas filled with talkative French people. If you are looking for a more local feeling, or quieter vibe, maybe check out other locations.

Dar Nour was so authentic Tangier old medina with crazy winding alleyways , white stucco walls, narrow stairs, roof decks and authentically decorrations . Much attention is paid to detail in the furnishing, artwork, books and other nick nacks. It felt a little like a visit to a museum but the room was very comfortable. The staff were super helpful and arranged a taxi on arrival and departure. But the best thing was the dinner, the roof top dinning and bar was delightful and so picturest. The chef is a good as they say.

We were looking forward to this trip because it was our honeymoon. And this hotel was highly expected given all the nice reviews.
However, the room given to us was COMPLETELY different from the picures (attached pics for u to compare). The place was looking much more like a poorly arranged airbnb in which the owner had left the house 15 min before we arrived. AND the room was not even on the building with the Dar Noir sign, was another one nearby. It was so disappointing! Sad to think that way but we can confidently say this was bad faith from the staff/owners, making us pay 150 euros for a room that’s not even worth 70! When we did the check out we saw a key hanger with all the room’s name on it. Guess? Ours wasn’t there! A clear evidence they arranged this room on the last minute and, of course, totally out of the standards.
If you still want to book, make sure they are not gonna put you in the MARIA room, the horrendous place they gave us and made us pay a fortune for.

The breakfast was good as is the location. The rooftop bar has a wonderful view. There are A LOT of steps!. The hotel is like an interesting maze with steps going every which way.

Breakfast was a feast. Lots of fresh fruit and great choice of breads and marmelades, even freshly baked cake

The beds are magical! This was the best sleep we got in Morocco!! The breakfast was quite tasty and the room was absolutely beautiful! The terrace also offers stunning views of Tangier and the coastline. :)
We did have an issue with some of the staff not speaking any English -- which led to a miscommunication when our bus stopped for Fast Breaking and that information wasn't passed on to our arranged transportation from the riad. So our taxi overcharged us from what the riad had stated our transportation rate would be (which was a pretty rough first impression.)
Our room also didn't have a mount for the shower head -- so it had to be held while you take a shower -- which was fairly complicated. You kind of need a second person to take a shower because of that... (Awkward if you arent super close with your travel companion.

we liked the room so much, very simple so spacious, amazing balcony with city view. the only thing which we were disappointed about was the information for parking. someone new will not know where is kashbah gate. we had a hard time searching for parking. that being said, parking has nothing to do with overall experience of the stay. so 10/10.

The most beautiful and artisan hotel you can get in Tangier. Superb French- Maroccan style interior, very good breakfast and general spirit is just outstanding!
There was nothing I didn't like.
