The building and rooms are delightful
The day before we arrived the hotel called us to say that the gastronomic restaurant in which we had booked had closed unexpectedly. They had known for 5 days.
I think we were lied to repeatedly about the true situation. They said the chef was ill but restaurants of this quality don’t rely on one person.
We cut short our trip

The park grounds are beautiful and maintained in superb condition. The Villa as well. the terrace is gorgeous, and it was a pleasure to have drinks, eat a meal, and relax on the property any time of day.
I suggest that if you have a big family group with lots of children, you let them celebrate in a separate room away from the other fine dining guests.
The wine selection was not up to par, and there was no good pairing option for the excellent food.

super renovated castle in a absolute nature environment with multiple restaurant choices. Beautiful gardens
breakfast price was 37 Euros - what can you serve for this and Spa had an additional entry cost this should be free for hotel guests

THe Chateau is a beautiful building with a great ambience. We ate at the associated Bistrot which was very good. The breakfast was a great mix of usual items and some interesting local produce. The weather was even good enough to eat on the outside terrace.
The lounge with fireplace was a highlight. We enjoyed glasses of wine on the couch and read our books
Only problem was our trip was too short!

Great location en route to the Swiss Alps. Charming manor-house- style chateau in a pretty village in the Jura.
Public rooms were beautifully decorated and the roaring log fire made it especially cosy for an early evening aperitif. Our first floor room was very tastefully furnished and was equipped with all the requisite facilities including tea-making and coffee machine. There is a Michelin restaurant in the hotel but it was closed that day so we ate in the sister Bistrot, 5 minutes walk away. The food was delicious with professional, friendly service and there was quite a buzzy atmosphere for à Monday. We did not take breakfast so cannot comment although it seemed to be a little expensive.
Everything was pretty spot-on although it should be noted that there is no lift.

just about everything from meals to accommodations. only thing is that 2 steps to reach to the bed (room 27) is not very practical for old couples (my wife and I are 80). the rest was great

The stand out impression is the friendliness & professionalism of the staff. Also noteworthy is the tranquil location
The room & bathroom, although rated superior, was very small & uncomfortable. In terms of our own experience, the accommodation does not rate favourably with other R&C hotels.

Breakfast was ok but not nearly as good as previous visits. Location
Is still lovely.
The service before dinner was unbelievably slow and we had to request drinks several times before any appeared. The menu was extremely expensive and too much time spent trying to make dishes look pretty rather than concentrating on the taste. We have never eaten such terrible food anywhere let alone in a Michelin starred restaurant. The last straw was that someone stole my wife’s cashmere pashmina from the terrace! We so enjoyed our two previous visits to Chateau Germigney and feel very sad that this is no longer the case.

The room was lovely and very comfortable. The welcome and the service in the restaurant and reception was outstanding. The gardens and grounds were beautiful. We loved the first 4 courses of our tasting menu, they were delicious and innovative.
I found the slimy feel of the bottom and sides of the pool a little off-putting but accept this may be due to the natural water. Unfortunately we found that 3 of the courses of our tasting menu were too strong and texturally unpleasant.

Expensive for what it was
when we arrived, we did not enjoy the hospitality of a bellboy or vallet parking: we carried our 6 pieces of luggage to the room
- when we did check in, we told them our names and they immediately proceeded to taking us to our room. No introduction about the hotel was given (eg. Where breakfast was, common areas, spa, or a bar that we eventually found when we were checking out). Also, no ID was requested upon our arrival.
- the staff hardly spoke English, in roles like in Front office/reception
- there was no lunch service served casual on the terrace other than booking the Michelin restaurant. When we asked in reception, they did not offer alternatives for lunch, just jumped to say their restaurant was fully booked. We ended up driving 10min to a boulangerie to have cheese and bread.
- there was no bar service; it was the same people from reception multi tasking with little hospitality.
- we went to reception to ask for some tea to drink in the terrace. The first response was they did not have teas, we could just order juices. We asked to see the drinks menu and sat down in the terrace. There was no table service so we went back to reception to ask for two teas as per the menu. This time, the receptionist agreed to bring the teas. It was unclear why she was against tea at the beginning, maybe because it meant having to go to the kitchen?
- In a different occasion, we went to reception to ask for an aperol spritz and a glass of wine. The glass of wine only arrived after we followed up 30min after we ordered. No apology was given. No olives, or nibbles were given with our drinks order.
- in general, level of hospitality, customer service and welcoming was quite poor for a hotel of this level. We did have a great service from the bellboy we eventually met and helped us park/carry our luggage at check out. Thanks so much!!

beautiful French countryside. calm and relaxing.
no restaurant except the 2 star Michelin, no Bar, no room service available
Guests of the hotel are prohibited to use the Spa unless they book a treatment. if you want to use just the pool you have to pay 35 Euro per person which is ridiculous.
At the Spa there is mainly facial treatments available, not massages.

Everything great as usual, they never put a foot wrong !!
Nothing, perfect. An object lesson in how to do everything in the best possible way.

Beautiful garden

staff were wearing masks. Garden is nice.
The room was small and facing the car park and the building site. The window overlooked other windows so there was no privacy when the curtain was open. There was a dead fly in the bathroom which was still there when we left after two nights. Amenity goods were very poor. Not good enough for a deluxe double room booked more than a month ahead.
