large and well equip kitchen. tgere was no other guest so we had the whole kitchen to oursekves.

room too small for 2. bare minimum furnishing. toilet had a slight unpleasant smell that won't go away.

The kitchen was very spacious and had all required items. Private bathroom also is a great plus.

The location is great and the area is very nice.

You can hear every noise in the entire house (like 10 rooms) , me and my partner couldent take a shower because the hot water ran out after around 7 minutes of shower time. A lot of the room/kitchen looks like ita breaking down. While it was mentioned there would be no wifi, there is a wifi network at the place, just appearbtly not for the guests. The host feels a bit cold and from others who stayed there we got the impression it is not just us who feel this way

owner didn't tell us there is a group of women will come back to hotel at 2 am and they are noisy everywhere and they don't clean kitchen after their midnight meal. there is a boiler in bathroom and quickly no hot water available. only have one hair dryer available in public area and difficult to find it. soft bed.

everything you need for a short stay on your trip

we had a small room with a double bed and own bathroom (shower and toilet), which was ok for two nights on our road trip. the guesthouse has also a kitchen and a hot tub to be used by everybody. the guesthouse is located next to a farmhouse (surrounded by „nothing“), and is close to asbirgy and dettifoss & selfoss, which was good for our choice. the owner was nice but not very communicative.

I believe, that one can make so much more out of the location and the guesthouse. we have missed the warm, lovely and welcomingly feeling we experienced during our trip

Great view and quiet place.

I like far places with dark skies, this is one of them. Great guest house, private bathroom, wide kitchen. Nice mountains and there is a crook nearby. Hope come back and stay more days. Staff was very helpful. Saw my first northern lights (a little bit of cloudy weather) there. They have laundry too.

The room as a little bit small and there were a lot of lights outside the building all nigth turned on (I'd like a darker place to see northern lights better). Be aware that the road on winter maybe requires 4x4 car.

Superb

The hosts invited for us to dinner which was very unexpected. We had a very long day, had to get rescued from Dettifoss and the host welcomed us to an evening meal. We hadn’t had a proper meal in two days and they catered for us specifically as we only eat Vegetarian food which was very kind of them.

Good kitchen, large dinning room

The only available place near Dettifoss. A cold owner’s welcome. Impersonal place. A large bed in a small bedroom, completely stuck in the corner.

A bit scary at night but beautiful aurora lights, and nice scenery once the sun came up

The aurora lights were amazing And it's a working farm, so we petted the horses in the morning for free

The place is remote, which was great for watching the aurora lights - amazing. But since it's remote, and we were the only ones in the whole building it gave off very searial killer vibes untill morning.

+ Location close to Dettifoss and Ásbirgy Canyon + Received detailed driving and location instructions upfront via e-mail => no issue finding guesthouse :) + Quiet and peaceful farmhouse (we were lucky to have the guesthouse all for ourselves) + Option to use Jacuzzi
