The friendly staff, very accommodating.
Air conditioning needs to be cooler

Dining experience was generally great. Room was OK; but since they're in the middle of a major renovation / upgrade, I believe that, by the end of this year, this facility will become much better.
I enjoyed and liked everything.

I liked that our villa was close to the restaurants, the villa was off of the Marina which was extremely beautiful especially at night with the Christmas lights, the amount of space we had in the villa, the location was great, we had 5 different places to choose from to eat, we had convenient shopping on the resort, the pool area was beautiful and clean, and the staff was extremely pleasant. The breeze from the pergola was AMAZING. I could stay out there all day and night.
Transportation was extremely easy and assemble. The beach is a 5 min drive but it's gorgeous and offers free lunch. The Christmas program was amazing.
The mosquitos inside the villa ate me up, and although the staff was super friendly, a huge portion of the staff do not speak English which makes it hard to request items we needed like wash clothes. She kept bringing drying towels. It pushes me to learn Spanish. This is the second country we have visited that speaks Spanish so I'm going to invest in lessons. The buffet was not to my taste but with that being said I'm in another country so I think it's important to try different foods.
We requested maintenance a few times. The washer leaked water - they never came so we had to soak it up using drying towels, they never informed us the AC only works when you close the patio doors a particular way. It was so hot. We sweated for 3 days before maintenance told us. The TV in the living room didn't work when we arrived and they switched it out with a TV that has green lines through it which was no better.
We have a 22 yr old son and an 8 yr old daughter and wanted separate beds. We told them this and they brought in 2 twin mattress/box spring combos. We just let it be but I think that's where the language barrier comes into play. We had a 2 bedroom villa but the 2nd room we wanted twin beds in there not 2 beds in the middle of the living room floor.
The bathroom had a strong water/mold smell, so I cleaned it with used bleach, and the next day I found a solution that absorbs the smell.
The light bulbs in all but 2 lamps were burned out. The hall bathroom door sticks. The ceiling fans do not give out air at all.

Very good location, the rooms are very spacious.
The elevator was not working, no hot water in the shower, poor light at night oustside the building. Food was very basic and limited.

The location is the most wanted in the zone. Rooms are very cozzy and clean. The views are awsome.

The suite was spacious and clean. The food was fresh. The hotel was quiet.
The service left MUCH to be desired. You ALWAYS had to ask for napkins, paper or cloth. You had to wait a very long time for coffee. The wait staff at Kon Kon were disorganized. The employees at the shops follow you around. Besides one pool, there weren't any other amenities such as a kids playground or nightly show.

Apartment: Huge (I had 110 m2 for my majesty) and very comfortable.
Buffet: Large variety of choices in the buffet and fairly decent. Those complaining and expecting a 2-Michelin level, kindly be hinted that a meal in a 2-Michelin star would cost you more than the entire all-inclusive stay per night ;) Be reasonable.
Pools: I appreciated that one of the pools was in a quieter environment.
Personnel: Very friendly, without overdoing it.
Facilities: The front desk / lobby area does not have a 5-star ambience, feels a bit outdated.
Minimal to zero nightlife - unless one opts for the nearby club/bars that are however out of the all-inclusive packet.
Transportation: Uber not allowed in the resort, walking discouraged, forcing exclusively taxis which are overpriced compared to the former. Shuttle options to Santo Domingo airport would be very useful (not everyone flies in and out of Punta Cana I assume). At minimum some help to figure out the transportation, I found the (fantastically convenient) bus services by myself after doing online research.
