Adorei o espaço, super cuidado, mas ao mesmo tempo confortável, aconchegante e mesmo estando mais hóspedes, com muita privacidade. De destacar a receção do Miguel, da atenção prestada durante a estadia, da comida maravilhosa (melhor cheesecake que alguma vez comi), dos vinhos, da piscina e sem dúvida que o conforto da cama e das almofadas 🤤

Très joli hotel au milieu des vignes

L'endroit est un lieu bien investi au niveau de la piscine, des jardins, le déjeuner est fabuleux, la déco des chambres est raffinée. Le personnel est attentionné et très disponible pour nous aider.

1 de nos deux chambres n'avais pas de salle de bain en suite et devait être partagées avec celle située dans la chambre connexe. Il manquait de crochets et meubles pour déposer/ranger nos effets. L'escalier en colimaçon pour accéder à nos chambres peut être un défi pour certaines personnes. De façon générale il manque d'espaces ombragés et de mobilier extérieur pour profiter ce ce lieu magnifique. Par exemple, nous avions une immense terrasse dominant la vallée mais pas vraiment de sofa, table, et parasol pour pouvoir en profiter.

Hotel lindo e serviço 5 estrelas

O fim de semana no hotel Casal dos Capelinhos foi inesquecível. Além da beleza e da estrutura moderna do hotel, há todo cuidado nos detalhes: lençóis e toalhas impecáveis, as refeições preparadas com ingredientes da região (muitos da própria propriedade) são sempre servidas de modo muito especial para cada hóspede. O pequeno almoço é excepcional. A experiência proporcionada pela equipe ainda foi o grande diferencial do hotel, todos foram extremamente gentis e comprometidos a tornar a estadia perfeita.

TUDO! A proposta da Casal dos capelinhos é ter a sensação de estar em “casa”. Miguel super atencioso e prestativo para nos ajudar somando com um ambiente super acolhedor. Os detalhes da louça demonstra o carinho dos proprietários com os hóspedes. O jantar foi excelente e muito farto, chef Marlene merece nota 10! Nem a forte chuva atrapalhou nossa estadia que foi relaxante e maravilhosa!

Wunderschönes Weingut mit Liebe zum Detail und besonders freundlichem Personal, das alle Wünsche möglich macht. Der Pool bietet die perfekte Entspannung nach einer Tour durch die Weinberge der Region. Mónica war uns mit super Tipps bei der Gestaltung unserer Ausflugsplanung behilflich. Das Essen war köstlich und ich rate jedem mindestens einen Abend ein Menü in der Anlage zu buchen. Absoluter Geheimtipp!

Can't even start to describe how at home we felt in this place. Tomás and Miguel, our hosts made us feel special. Their suggestions were awesome and their stories highly entertaining. Pedro, the wine maker, made us taste an amazing vintage port and some other awesome wines. The wine dispenser was awesome! The chef Marlene and Isabel made our breakfast and dinner experience unforgettable. We had bookings in other restaurants and ended up canceling them all to eat their incredible creative meals. Will be back soon and will suggest it to all my friends. Kenny the dog was also a highlight. Gorgeous:)

Amazing stay and real good value for money!

Located in the midst of a little town in the Douro Valley, the property is just stunning, has amazing views, amenities, a great pool, and they understand how to make one feel welcome and pampered. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and did an amazing job at accommodating individual needs. One of the days, when we had an early start planned, they provided a stunning and yum take-away breakfast pack. Our room was very nicely designed and furnished. Great A/C as well. Breakfast was freshly and mostly home-made with plenty of fresh food. One can ask for on-the spot eggs in various shapes and forms if wanted. The pre-booked dinner on our arrival day was absolutely amazing; four abundant and very yum courses served on the terrace. A 1.5 hour wine tasting of their own-produced wine and port was another great opportunity to get ti know the property and the surroundings. All in all a real treat!

it’s a beautiful small hotel, family owned with vines all around. Just stunning landscape belonging to a wine maker. Very helpful staff, friendly owner who explained about the different types of wine, great cook on site who cooked us a delicious dinner especially for us. Just a perfect stay!

Superb

The owners are passionate about their country and their terroir. They are especially accommodating and attentive to your expectations. We were able to enjoy a delicious home-made supper with garden products on a Fado background. The wine tasting was both oenological and poetic. I highly recommend this place if you want to recharge your batteries, drink well, eat well and sleep well.

Bedside tables would be useful to have in the room.

The attentiveness of the service staff. The owner also took a lot of time educating us on port and the region.

- Amazing place , very quiet and peaceful. - diner is definitely recommended there. - the breakfast is also great with a lot of options. the wines are also very good so make sure to try them. - very nice pool in the middle of the vineyards. - and last but not least, the staff is so friendly and helpful. they do the extra mile to make you feel at home. thanks especially to Miguel !!

You can’t see the Douro from the location, but lovely countryside views.

Lovely little hotel - wouldn't hesitate to stay again

We loved our stay here. Staff get 10 out of 10 for friendliness and attentiveness. The pool was great, and not crowded as the hotel is small. The breakfast was outstanding. Good location too - we had a car, which we would recommend for the area. Plenty of parking at the hotel. Room was comfortable, with good aircon and very nice bathroom.

Not much to say! We did feel our room was a little sparse in terms of furnishings. Would have been great to have bedside tables on both sides, and hooks to hang wet towels. Also, must be said that we could hear a bit of noise from the kitchen/dining space through the wall.

Magical stay and experience in the Duoro !

The hotel is BEAUTIFUL. The staff is very professional and kind and friendly. The food is a MUST BOOK. Both dinners were exceptional. Great views, good wine, nice pool and very professional and communicative staff. I liked the whatsapp communication leading up to and during our stay. Our waiter, Miguel, also deserves special mentioning.

We liked everything. To note, there is no fridge in the room but the kitchen and communal area is close and well-equipped.

High quality, exclusive experience. Prepare to be amazed.

The staff went above and beyond to make you feel special, but also gave you complete privacy. The food and snacks are outstanding, wine delicious and details of the hotel perfect. Everything is fresh and clean, the love for the place is felt immediately. It was great to go as a couple, but I'd also enjoy going with the whole family. It's a place to relax, a real gem. We can't wait to go back!

The AC worked but wasn't able to keep up with the extremely high temperatures. If you're used to having ice cold room temperatures you might find it uncomfortable, but we enjoyed the fresh douro air so made the most of it. The pool is perfect to fight the heat.

exceptional stay in wine country with phenomenal food and rooms

stunningly beautiful vineyard property with lovely hosts, comfortable and well appointed room, the cook Marlene is incredibly talented and kind with my children. the food was exceptional. when we had a problem with the AC they were attentive and fixed it the next day. they were wonderful with my kids and we did a lovely wine and port tasting.

they do not serve dinner on Monday. the dinner is amazing so I would make sure to try it.

The stay at Casal dos Capelinhos was picturesque, precise, relaxing and most of all memorable!

The stay at Casal dos Capelinhos was nothing less than exceptional, it didn't only match our (very high) expectations, but also exceeded them. The staff was exceptional! They were eager to help us make the best of our stay, at the Casa as well as the Douro valley, and they were g=reat at it. The quinta is beautiful, the pool and views are breathtaking, as was breakfast, dinner, and, of course, the house wines. I highly recommend this place and hope to be back soon :)

A touch of heaven

Our time at Casal dos Capelinhos was magical from start to finish. The attention to detail was absolutely incredible in every way. The food was beyond any of our expectations and it was clear that great time, effort and love was put into every meal prepared there. We actually spent most of our time in the grounds themselves, enjoying the magnificent pool and spectacular views of vineyards in the area. Our wine tasting session was also fantastic. If we could have given a rating higher than 10 we would have.

Everything was perfect

Everything was perfect. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool was beautiful and quiet, the staff very welcoming and the breakfast also great. It wasn't huge with a wide variety of things, but there was still plenty to choose from, it was fresh and tasted great! Regret only staying one night. Will be back.

As can be seen on the vineyards instagram, they also have a restaurant. However, when I asked to reserve a table, I found they're only open Thursday-Saturday. This is of course fine, but I hadn't been able to find that information anywhere, which is a shame. Due to other circumstances the restaurant was also open the Tuesday, we were visiting, and it was a wonderful experience to dine with them.

Great hotel with fantastic service surrounded by vineyards

The atmosphere and the location in the middle of the vineyards is great. The Hotel is family owned and everyone is very friendly and attentive. This is a place where you feel like home. A lot of the food comes from their own garden and is home made. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel and both was fantastic due to the quality, presentation and selection of the food.

Heaven on Earth!

Heaven on Earth! It was one of the best experience in our life! Everything that Pedro, Maria Jose and their team do is just perfect: they fully put their soul and love into it, and pay attention to all little details in order to provide the best experience. The green well managed territory with lots of flowers (rose bushes are just unreal), giant fruits and lounge areas; swimming pool with infinity edge which helps even more to merge with nature; top level choices for accommodations’ setup; cutie balconies; peace and quite and… the view… this view we will try to keep it in our memories forever! Food and wine deserves a special attention, inc. artistic serving, charming presentation, wonderful taste and endless quantity… Based on other visitors reviews we expected good breakfasts and dinner, but we definitely weren’t prepared for such a high level cuisine! Let this beautiful place grow and prosper! And we will plan to celebrate here our proposal anniversaries already with our children ;)

The people are super helpful and nice. Monica was explaining everything very well. The breakfast was great, with many options to choose from.

Unfortunately we could not have dinner at the days we were there, but they made a reservation at a very good restaurant in the village. We missed their nice wines during dinner, but we had a very nice talk the next morning about the wines!

One of the best experiences I had

Casal dos Capelinhos is a unique experience since the time you arrive and are welcomed by Pedro and his wife. This small luxury hotel offers you very comfortable rooms, a very traditional cuisine with exceptional quality and great wines from their vineyards. The breakfast is also amazing with a huge variety of fruit, bread, cakes, cheeses, marmalades, fresh juices, coffee...and on top of this eggs cooked to order. The environment at Douro Region is fantastic, the team is always taking good care of you, the infinity pool is top, so the best way to describe this experience is "one of the best"! I am sure I will return. If you have the opportunity, stay at Casal dos Capelinhos, and have dinner to experience the great traditional Douro cuisine at top level.
