About this docked boat rental
My houseboat is a lovely, quiet and comfortable place to stay in Amsterdam, close to Carré Theater, Hermitage, Hortus Botanicus, Artis Zoo, and lots of other famous tourist places and last but not least the Amstel river. Enjoy Amsterdam from within!
The houseboat offers you a tastefull bedroom, a modern bathroom, a luxurious kitchen and a warm, comfortable living room with a beautifull canal view. Enjoy the view and quiet atmosphere from behind the spacious windows or by using the terrace.
My place is a very stable, solidly constructed and well maintained houseboat. I like to share my boat with guests from all over the world, because it's such a unique and typical Amsterdam way of living.

Albert, the host, was phenomenal from the date we booked the canal boat and all through our stay with tips and recommendations. Location allowed us to walk everywhere in Amsterdam.

We had a great time staying at the boathouse in Amsterdam. It was set up nice and had everything you could need. Loved being on the water. The owner was amazing and made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed

What a special experience for our family to stay on a houseboat in Amsterdam! Easy check in, great communication with the host, beautiful house that was cozy but so well set up for a small space. Primary bedroom was very comfortable, and our girls (5 and 9) loved the pull out couch and waving to passing boats. Would 100% recommend!!

We spent two nights aboard the lovely houseboat, Orpheus. It was so fun! We enjoyed sitting on the little deck and raising a glass of wine to all the passing boats. It is just as pictured and we will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Amsterdam. Everything from check-in to our last meal aboard went smoothly. It is stocked with anything you could possibly need and very clean. The notebook of information on the bookshelf was very thorough and super useful to plan our activities. Can not recommend this location and amazing host highly enough! Fabulous!

My father and I stayed for a couple nights to end our European tour and it was lovely. Check in was a breeze and communication during the process was excellent.
Short walk to public transit, museums, city center. Sitting out in the terrace with my dad watching boats go by was so enjoyable!

'We are seniors well into our 70's and 80's. Our stay in this splendid houseboat was exactly what we were hoping for. Comfortable house, convenient location, convenient public transportation, and a canal that provided daily enjoyable boat-watching. Our host was very responsive..meeting us at our arrival and answering questions during our stay.

Cozy and comfy houseboat with everything you need. The owner was very accommodating and maintained communication to you ensure we enjoyed our stay. We arrived on a Thursday and our first night was relaxing. However, party goers from Friday night lead to a 2am awakening to yelling and screaming on Saturday morning. We would still return here next time we're in Amsterdam.

Great property, great location, great host! Wonderful way to live like a local in Amsterdam!

The houseboat was in a great location for exploring all of Amsterdam. Very close to metro and tram stops to visit museums and get to other parts of city. It was quiet and peaceful on the canal and we enjoyed our stay. Albert and Anna had coffee pods for morning cuppa to get out the door and were gracious to let us drop our luggage until check-in and we started our explore of city while preparations were made. Coming off a week of biking made having a washer and dryer great! The restaurants in the area were delightful!
Capital Kitchen fabulous food! A short walk to Tashi Deleg for Indonesian/Nepal fusion- wonderful!
Overall just a great and interesting stay!

Albert is the best host. He greeted us when we arrived with fresh tulips and showed us how everything worked. He helped us navigate the two biggest celebrations in Amsterdam. The houseboat is clean, very modern with all of the modern conveniences.... including heated bathroom floors. We will be back again.

We cannot say enough about how FANTASTIC this property is. Perfectly located near everything, yet in a quiet neighborhood; Albert's houseboat was absolutely one of our favorite aspects of our trip. Comfortable, fully equipped, it was hard to leave it every day (one day, we didn't leave till dinnertime!) Albert's helpful guide told us everything we needed to know about local markets, where to sightsee, and how to use all the vast amenities that are included. And if we had questions, Albert was instantly responsive. We would 100% recommend this accommodation to anyone and everyone.

Everything about the boat was as advertised! A perfect retreat after a day exploring Amsterdam, very well situated and amazing views. Albert, the host, could not have been kinder or more helpful. We hope to enjoy his hospitality again soon!

The location for this houseboat couldn't be better. It's close to transit and many great sightseeing locations, but it's on a side canal so it's still relatively secluded and quiet. The houseboat itself is very modern and well-maintained. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Albert’s houseboat is an incredibly comfortable and peaceful place to stay. It is very well equipped. It was spotlessly clean and had everything an international traveler might appreciate, including the full size washing machine and dryer, very effective heating, double glazing and condiments (eg herbs, spices, oil) to make the most of the chef’s kitchen overlooking the canal. A real highlight was watching the rowers come past in the early morning and the visiting waterbirds including coots, ducks and swans. We didn’t meet Albert but he was available if we had any queries.
We loved every minute of our stay here. If you see this and are thinking about it, you won’t regret it.

The houseboat was perfect. It had everything we needed and more. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying canal life, coffee in the morning and wine at night. The houseboat is spacious, comfortable and beautiful. The area had a lot of energy during the day and was quiet at night.

Do not hesitate to book this wonderful houseboat!! I researched many properties and am so thankful that we chose to stay here. Albert was beyond accommodating and helpful leading up to and during our stay. He was attentive and allowed us to feel welcomed.
The houseboat was incredible and equipped with modern appliances and really comfortable beds including the pullout bed. Sitting on the deck was magical in the mornings and evenings and more than a few boaters commented that they were jealous of the boat and location.
We were in the center of everything while still offering a quiet evening for sleeping.
You will not be disappointed with your choice to stay here and have Albert as your host.

This is a great houseboat. Perfect for two people though it could support two adults and two kids. There are a lot of flowers around the boat and it is very clean. The location is very good. Restaurants a short 5-8 min walk away and it is on a quiet canal. If you want to try staying on a houseboat in Amsterdam this is one to try.

Can’t think of a better way to do Amsterdam than on a houseboat on the canals. The owner was a pleasure to deal with leading up to and during the stay. Never met him in person but he was always responsive and helpful via e-mail or WhatsApp. We were there during a rare burst of warmer weather and the place not having a/c was kind of a bummer but the big ole fan helped. The boat is plenty spacious in terms of the bedroom,
kitchen and living area but the bathroom is a little tight though the shower itself was quite spacious. If I had to have one beef is that the bath towels were very small so I’d bring my own if I could do it all over again. The major win - the washer and dryer! Such a great feature! Again, overall an awesome stay. Uber and cab drivers had no problem finding the place. Many many thanks to our great host!

This was exactly the stay I have always wanted to do in A’dam. The houseboat is located a bit out of the tourist areas so it was not as mobbed as other areas, but still close enough that everything is in walking distance. There are a few restaurants right in the neighborhood that were great as well. As for the houseboat being able to have a coffee in the morning and wine in the evening and watch the paddle boarders and boats go by was amazing. My daughter loved the geese and ducks that swam by. Amazingly there is a gas stove and oven. Although we only used it to heat bread, it really was an exceptional kitchen set-up for anyone looking to cook. The bathroom is a bit tight, but nothing you would not expect living on a boat. We loved it

The rooms are beautifully decorated. The deck porch area charming. Easy access to museums and restaurants.
The owner was delightful and easy to contact.
We were sad to say goodbye. Many thanks A.

What an ideal way to feel what it’s like to live in Amsterdam! The home is well appointed and cozy. There were special touches like fresh flowers and baby birds to feed. The windows are screened to deal with mosquitoes and there’s a clothes DRYER!! The bathroom is space limited but more than workable. It was wonderful to sit on the terrace and enjoy wine as boats floated by. I was also able to cook in the kitchen. Convenient to the Metro and landmarks.

For many years I have wanted to stay on a canal boat in Amsterdam (blame the movies - lol). When I saw the photos and all the details the hosts provided, I knew the place would be perfect and it was!
The boat has all the comforts of home, and we loved sitting on the back deck watching the duck family and waving at boats passing by. We also enjoyed several restaurants, shops, gardens, etc. All withing walking distance.
Thank you, Albert and Anna, for your incredible hospitality, attention to details, sharing your wonderful place and warm welcome. It was a pleasure meeting both of you and would give you 10 stars if allowed!

Everything from check-in to check-out was fabulous! The houseboat is well located on a small canal. Many canal boat float by but are very quite. The adjustable beds were REALY comfortable! Albert is a joy to talk to so make sure you see him during your stay the kitchen has just about everything you need to cook with. The outside deck was very relaxing and the local water fowl would visit every day.

This property is amazing. Safe location, beautifully maintained, all the amenities plus more. 6 minute walk to tram or metro to get you to central station. I've stayed in many properties in many countries, and this seriously was one of my favorites. Sitting out on the little deck watching boats go by, having water birds swimming right next to us while having a coffee or cocktail. So great. Don't hesitate to book.

We were so impressed with this property. Fitted to a high specification it gave a sense of luxury. Super position and easy access to the sites of the city. Very good communication with Albert. We loved the wildlife that visited us; Grebes, Coots and Swans and Cygnets, Ducks and ducklings. I would highly recommend this house boat to all.
