As advertised we were expecting a luxurious property but we were totally disappointed when we arrived. The apartment is an old unit and, especially the bathrooms, needs a renovation. The coach and chairs were all worn. It was also a nasty surprise that parking, advertised as included in the apartment, was a valet service you have to pay on top of the rental fee. It is the same case with laundry, it is a share laundry room per floor which has to be paid through a special card with a minimum recharge higher that what is needed for a week holiday. All in all we were very dissatisfied and felt that we overpaid for a condo which only good feature is nice views

The property was nice, quiet, relatively easy access to Ft. Lauderdale and Miami.

We overall enjoyed our stay at this condo. We were originally told the Hollywood boardwalk was a 20-25 minute walk. It took us over an hour and a half walking on the beach to get there(7 of us). There were also several broken tiles throughout the condo taped together with clear duct tape, loose sinks no longer glued to the counter, and the refrigerator wouldn't get cold the first day. We had a family of 7 and were only given 2 rolls of toilet paper with 2 spare rolls that were used under the sink. That was super disappointing. We also only had less than half a roll of paper towels to use. Anytime I have rented from VRBO items like toilet paper and paper towels were provided. I hope you can use this information to help someone else in the future feel more accommodated.

The property is located on Hollandale beach not Hollywood beach as advertised. Everything cool to do is not walking distance. The shower blew water everywhere in the second bath, tiles broken in multiple rooms and locations with tape holding them together in place, entertainment center had broken door and rigged to stay closed, It wasn’t the best stay at all. Check in is crazy if you arrive after 5pm, you are provided no parking pass or anything until the office opens at 9am. Can’t even get in or out the pool or beach access without going to the office. Sad at how much I paid for a week at this place. I could have went overseas or on a cruise for the 2500 I paid for 5 nights smh.

The pictures are exact of the residence. There is a Walmart and 7-Eleven close, no more than a 10 minute walk. The pool and beach were convenient and close. The unit had plenty of room and stayed cool with the AC units. When we wanted outdoor air, the patio door was available, and only the “master” bedroom windows opened. Overall this place fitted our family needs.

Pictures look better than reality. There was no thought of comfort for the guests.
Cons: No shampoo/conditioner/soap, etc.. not enough towels, no window curtains or shades in the living room, was not pleasant.
Beach chairs were dirty and broken, old moldy beach towels stuffed in the chairs.
The kitchen door leading outside did not lock. Had to prop a chair to keep it locked. Dirty dishes put away.
We were forced to pay for extra for unnecessary key, ($30). Minor inconvenience, sure, but worth mentioning.
Pros: It was big enough for 5 adults, kitchen stocked with pots and pans, etc, beds were comfortable, location is nice if you want beach. Nothing walkable though.
But for this price, would not stay again.

The property owner/manager was very responsive and pleasant.
Once we arrived at The Tides, we were greeted by the rude parking attendant. We arrived after 5p so we had to register in the morning.
Once I was greeted in the management office, the woman was VERY pleasant and explained everything well.
The first and second day, our daughter needed to take a nap, and there was the sound of drilling and pounding outside of our door. The first day, my husband politely asked them to come back in an hour or so let our baby sleep. They did. The second day, around the same time, the same thing happened, however this time, Ronald, the man making the noise said “No, I will not stop.” And proceeded to raise his voice and speak to me in a very disrespectful manner.
Most of the staff were rude with the exception of Julia at the front desk. She was an absolute pleasure.
The vents in the rooms were completely filled will dirt/dust/sand to the point you couldn’t see the filter any longer. There was also mold in both showers. The bathroom with the tub does not drain so you’re standing in your water as your shower. The bathroom in the master bedroom goes from extremely cold to scalding in a matter of seconds the whole time you are showering.
The dishwasher does not work. The dishes come out just as dirty as they went in, and that’s with rinsing them first.
All in all, we will not be staying at The Tides again.

Disappointed in condition
The location of the property is good but the overall condition of the property is poor. Broken tiles, stained moldy lounger, only 2 coffee mugs, little updating and badly in need of paint.

Would not come back!
We stayed here from 1 Jan thru 11 March. The location and views were the best part of the rental. We had many issues upon arrival and during our stay. I will say that the owner was very accessible and accommodating. I sent pictures of the issues we had upon arrival so that the owner knew it wasn't us who damaged the unit. Both the unit and building are in desperate need of updating and repair. The unit was not very clean; paint peeling; cracked/ broken tiles throughout; dirty windows; filthy vents in kitchen and both bathrooms; balcony flooring dirty and lounge chair cushion was loaded with mildew; both toilets were broken and kitchen sink leaked which Maria did send a handyman to repair. Refrigerator broke and according to the handyman he's already fixed it several times. One of the beds had a sink hole and plywood was apparently put between the mattress and frame to help but it doesn't. Dishes and cups are chipped.
There is no security around the pool. Not enough pool chairs or umbrellas. People put towels on the chairs and are gone for hours. Meshing on the chairs have mildew. There were five false fire alarms during our stay. One at 2am. All this with me having my 92 year old handicapped mother in a wheelchair. I would not recommend staying here.

Sunrise from the comfort of your bed
This is a great place to stay with beautiful ocean views from the balcony and master bedroom. The communication speed and friendliness of the property manager made our stay very pleasant. The property grounds were well maintained. Pool areas were tidy and had easy beach access.
Please note this is not a hotel, so you don't get an endless supply of shampoo, lotions, towels, toilet paper, etc. Plan on grocery shopping and you won't be disappointed.
The walk to Hollywood Broadwalk (yes that is spelled correctly) is about 40-50 minutes if you walk along the beach.
It was very nice to have beach chairs, an umbrella, and pool toys all ready for us, but if you have a party larger than four, you might need extra.
I recommend getting specific information about check-in from the property manager a day before your stay. Also, the valet parking attendant is a good source of information when you first arrive.
If you want to wake up to a sunrise over the ocean while still lying in bed, this is the place to be!

Nice enough condo, but not beach friendly rules
The condo was nice enough, view was beautiful. One of the beds was broken and had a sink hole in the middle of it, but the owner may not have known that. This location is NOT walkable to the Boardwalk. It was a $50 rt Uber ride for all of us. A short summary, be prepared to just stay in your mask the whole time. And heaven forbid you walk in from the pool/beach with a swimsuit top on and shorts without being scolded by security. Even my teenage boys were yelled at for not having a shirt on going from pool to elevator. (Its literally maybe 100ft) Make sure to read the fine print. Says it sleeps 8 but if you have 8 you have to pay $100/pp over 6. Then when you arrive you have to pay $20 for every 2 people for a key fob that gives you entry to every door. I've been told Destin is the place to go if you're looking for a normal, stress free vacation. I would never go back here. Sad I have to give it a low review.

This property was just as expected. Beautiful views of the ocean and amazing sunrises right from our bed each morning! Perfect location and family oriented. Would definitely come back.

The Tides resort unit C9E
Property was very dirty, no privacy due to all blinds being broken in bathroom, living room and bedrooms. There was also a huge hole about 4 to 6 inches around in the master bathroom. Check in was terrible and not professional at all. When we checked in they tried to charge us extra due to having 8 people when we paid the owner already for the extra 2 people so we had to wait until they contacted the owner to verify and still had issues. The 2 condo towers had 2 pools and one pool was closed at all times due to cutting cocunuts and trimming trees. The pool also closed at 6 every night. Unfortunately I would not recommend this unit at all. The condo was pet friendly when the unit on the website said it was not and no instructions on anything. The unit was very outdated and needs some repairs and painting and balcony cleaned. We also could not get any WiFi to work.

Winter break
Nice location. Two large beds in each bedroom a plus. The provided beach chairs come in handy because rentals on the beach are pricey.. We would rent the unit again.

It was amazing to wake up to a view of the ocean! There are two pools on property, and the ocean is right through the gate. I felt very safe going on walks along the beach every morning. The checkin process was a little confusing and the line was very long for checkout. There’s a Walmart, Target, and Dollar Store very close. The property owner has beach chairs, and umbrella, and sand toys to use! We had food delivered from Publix that showed up right when we got there. The vents could definitely use a deep scrub. We had an amazing trip! This location was perfect. We were sad to leave!

Good location. Check-in was confusing. It was a large unit, which was good. Needs updating
Good location and great beach access but check in was confusing. It was a large unit which was good to have extra space. The building and unit needs some updating. Good communication from the property management, overall a good stay.

Great condo on the ocean
We had very good experience in the condo. It was clean and directly on the beach with wonderful ocean views.

Great view. Well maintained.
This was a very nice property, with excellent views. The property manager was very responsive. We would definitely rent this condo again. There were only two minor issues. Soap for showering was not provided and we only had 3 wash cloths for 5 people.

Nice and roomy
We had a really nice visit, lots of room for 5 kids! The pool was nice but only open til sundown which was disappointing to the kids. Beach access was nice and easy to get to. We had pool towels and chairs in the condo. Maybe a few extras would come in handy so we weren’t washing or drying as much. Rina was only an email away and would email within a very short time with anything we needed. . Only a short distance from stores and restaurants. Would def recommend.

Lovely six days in Florida
The location of this property is perfect. Our condo suite was visually as shown in the VRBO listing; there were a few items that need tending that we will share with Maria; hopefully they will be taken care of for the next occupants.

Wonderful renting from / dealing with Maria. Clean comfortable spacious condo with beautiful views on the ocean.

Beautifully located right in front of the beach with a front side view on the beach. I stayed with my three teenagers and we all absolutely loved it! It was great having a full kitchen for eating in, as well as bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs and a parasol! The kids loved having Netflix on the large screen TV, as well as each having their own double bed. The closet space is immense. Will definitely come back when we have the chance!

Such a wonderful vacation!
We had such a wonderful vacation at this home! We were a total of 5 adults and 3 kids and had an amazing time. All of us loved the large apartment, open space and all the amenities that came with the building. Maria was very prompt with her responses from the beginning. If we are ever in the area, we will be staying at this place again.

Excellent Vacation Stay!!!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days stay. The place was very clean and very well maintained. The rooms were super spacious and had everything as listed. The property is right on the beach.
The pool and other amenities in the building were well maintained too.
Restaurants and shopping are near by with minutes of drive.
I would like to thank Maria for making this stay enjoyable for the whole family.
I would recommend this property to families and groups alike
We had a wonderful time and will be our first choice for our next FLL vacation.
