Great location and plenty of space for a nice family gathering
5.0
My family and I had such a great time.
Pros: Location! It provides a beautiful Mountain view, but is still very close to many shopping centers/gas stations/grocery stores.
The home itself was so accommodating for a big group! All the teens in our family had the bottom floor and parents & little ones on the second and third floor. With three bathrooms there were no issues when getting everyone ready to go.
We LOVED how much it felt like a home. There were extra blankets, pillows, fans, kitchen appliances, seasonings, and towels.
The staff did a great job of having everything very clean for us.
The management company was very hands off and just allowed us to enjoy ourselves within the rules of course which aren’t a big deal at all.
Neighbors were very friendly!
Cons:
The Wi-Fi network wouldn’t connect. Really didn’t matter much since we were having so much fun spending quality time together, but it would have been nice since it is advertised.
The dishwasher didn’t seem to work. We tried several settings and it seems to cycle through but the. The dishes were still not clean. We ended up hand washing, also not a huge deal.
Overall an absolutely amazing experience for my big family. We had plenty of space and we’re very comfortable. We all plan to book again next summer!

Stayed here with 14 people and did not feel crowded at all. Everything was clean on arrival and everything worked. Only complaint is the locks are sometimes janky and have to turn the knob to lock the door. Otherwise amazing service and roomy cabin! Would def recommend for big groups!

Great view of the mountains! Fully furnished. Lots of beds. Some things in the house were broken or not working. Steep driveway so not sure how hard it will be with snow on ground. If your willing to overlook some stains in carpets, and broken/ not working items, holes in walls from people hanging stuff up, this place is perfect!

The best place about this property are the views. It is a lovely location. Once inside things tend to go downhill. We were told there would be wood provided for the wood burning fireplace, there wasn’t. The sidewalks and stairs were snow packed and unshoveled. The cleanliness of the property was not up to par. Several towels in the bathrooms were either unwashed or stained. There was hair on the wall of the shower and bathroom. There were glasses that were broken and cracked in the kitchen. The linens on the beds especially in the downstairs area looked like they needed to be cleaned. All of the extra pillows and linens I found in the closets looked unsanitary to the point that I wouldn’t donate them to goodwill. There was enough space because the property is large, but I would NEVER recommend for someone to stay here and and I would never stay here again. I feel like we were taken advantage of because of the price of this rental.

An adult complained of seeing a mouse in the living room. But I didn't see it.
Easy process. Spacious home. Comfy.

Excellent guest capacity with drawbacks
The two decks mentioned were not cleared of snow, so were not really useable. The exterior stairs also not cleared so were dangerous until property manager was called. Kitchen is extremely well stocked. Lots of real useable bed space even though we didn't use nearly all. Futons but no foldaway sofa beds. Driveway is steep and 4WD only in winter. Only parking for 2 vehicles on site is outdoors - no garage. Maintenance seemed subpar but property manager very responsive. Very close to downtown Dillon.

Great home, but dated
This cozy home was able to accommodate our big family. Although the home is dated, it has a charm to it. The beds/pillows need to be updated ASAP. They are worn down and not that comfortable.

We had the best time
We couldn't ask for more, everything worked out very well for us, the view was stunning

Clean but outdated
Was as they represented, clean but very (1980s)outdated.. needs updating. If your expecting a newer modernized place this is not for you, if you want a decent place to sleep and hang out for a good value it is worth it.. good views!

Ski vacation
We really enjoyed Deer Path Escape. The house was close to Hwy 6, so it was easy to get to the ski resort. It was well stocked with kitchen necessities that made cooking in very easy. The beds were comfortable and everyone had plenty of space to spread out with the huge bunk room downstairs and the bonus room upstairs.

Great place
First impressions on this place were amazing. The driveway is very difficult to get into with the snowstorm that hit but other than that the place was great. My only other thing was upon entering the residence all of the electronics had the battery’s taken out and the lighting was a little lack luster. Not a huge complaint but couldn’t really light up any of the rooms and have some good family time.

Amazing home with lack of cleanliness
I was a bit disappointed. The home is amazing, size, location, views, has potential to be 5 stars but very dirty. I would recommend either changing your cleaning service because everything was dirty. Bed sheets, shower curtains were filthy, potato chips behind the beds, dirty towels, garbage pale was full, under the beds were filthy and bed sheets inside closets were not folded, they were just thrown inside. For a place were you get a lot of snow, you responsibility is safety of guest so driveway should be clean to drive cars up. I understand the steepness of it and that's ok, but get it cleaned. As a paying customer and paying the amount we paid, I expect to be able to park my car in the driveway without worrying about sliding down with my family and crashing by car on another car or even a pedestrian. I loved the location, the house, was great memories but will never go back. I could even deal with driveway, but not being cleaned properly is a deal breaker for next time. Please, do yourself a favor, change your cleaning crew.

Great view!
This listing has a great view to the mountains, short walk/drive to a lot of stores. The bed sheets were a bit old/dirty had to go buy some (maybe bring some to avoid buying). We did hear some weird noises (foot steps) it does look like it’s an older house so maybe it could of been something else but we didn’t think much about it. The driveway is really steep and had ice so the cars would slide just fyi but thankfully our vehicles were 4x4. But overall we had a great time there.

Alright cabin, but beautiful view
Honestly, the pictures I think made the place look better than it was on the inside. Very old and outdated, which I don't mind too much other than the fact ants were a frequent, water temperature was inconsistent, and the toilets needed updating... It did us well though, nothing crazy bad or good. It was a great place for a large group to stay so they could then get out of the house and hike and do things in the area. Dillon/ Silverthorn were great towns to stay in!

We only stayed a couple of nights, but this place was within walking distance (less than a mile) of many stores, the marina, restaurants, pubs, and an amphitheater. The wrap around porch has great views of the mountains. The home was well prepared and had ample sleeping space for 8 of us. The construction next door was a little distracting at times, but these things happen and we were staying there during the week. A weekend trip might not have any work going on. There was only parking for 2 vehicles unless you want to bock in another car. You could fit about 5 in the driveway, but anything after 2 is blocking in other vehicles. This wasn't a problem for us, I just thought it was info that wasn't on the website, and as big as this place is, multiple people might be bringing vehicles. Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay as a large group, and I'd certainly recommend it to a friend. If your party has 2-3 people, there are probably better options out there.

A Home Away from Home
This home was perfect for our family of nine adults. Everyone who needed privacy could have it, there was enough room for us to eat and relax all together, and the kitchen was sufficient for our various culinary preferences. It was a great home base for our week-long stay as we had easy access to shopping and hiking, as well as a doable drive back to the sights in Denver. We would definitely recommend!

Had a great time staying here with 3 families. Plenty of room and decent sleeping arrangements. Location is excellent if you're going to any of the summit county ski resorts. There's a steep driveway, so be aware of that. Also, the address is not clearly labeled by the road, so if you arrive at night you might have trouble finding the house. The one thing that might help is that there are two driveways arriving at a V where the house is. This house is on the right-hand driveway.

We were a party of 10 people (5 adults and 5 kids). The kids loved their own big room downstairs and all adult couples had their own bedrooms. The kitchen and dining area are rather small, so we wouldn't stay there for a long vacation. It's okay for a weekend trip. The dining table does not fit more than 10 people. The kitchen is equipped with everything and more. The cabin itself is a little older, so is the decor. It was super clean. Staff wad very nice. The driveway is not as steep as expected, but it's a very narrow turn into the main street. It parks 2 cars in the parking sports. More cars can be parked in the driveway, if you don't mind parking behind each other. Mountain view is nice, deck is big. There's lots of traffic in the street below and you can also hear and see I70 traffic. We had a nice weekend getaway, but we would probably not book that cabin again due to the location.

The home was a perfect lay out for my family. The 3 floors and 3 bathrooms were great with our party of 11. The kids enjoyed having their own level to sprawl out in and have their own space. Although one goes on vacation to be active outdoors, in the evening it’s nice to perhaps put on a movie. Our group felt that 2 of the 3 TV’s need to be updated since they were tube TV’s. The only flat screen was on the main floor. We were very impressed with the management company and how quickly they responded to a repair issue. We left several suggestions for property improvements with the management company to address before the next visitors. The home is in a great location to use for a home base and do things outside Dillon. We went to the concert in the park in Dillon and had a great time.

The house on Deer Path was very large and the view was really pretty. It was very close to Dillon and the other resort areas. Unfortunately the interior of the house was very shabby. The curtains were falling off of the rods and a sheet was put up on the front door window. The furniture was very old. It really needs a face lift. The TV was not set up for home use. It was set up like it was in a store on display. The house also did not have a grill. The kitchen was very well equipped with all kinds of pots and pans and skillets. The house also had plenty of towels, pillows and blankets.
