Upon check-in, we were unable to use the code given to enter the property. Once we entered the property it appeared to be clean upon entry, however, opening cabinets etc. we found the facility to have bugs crawling out of cabinets. The Internet did not work, there was no hot water, TV has seven stations, kitchen is unequipped for vacation or stay. There are no laundry facilities available. All of these items we contacted the property management. We have requested compensation, however, no update or reply has been given.

The cabin was cute, clean and comfortable for our visit with a group of 4 - it's clearly been a much-loved family place for many years, and definitely has that feel with a mix of more funky "vintage" features and furnishings that give it charm, but also some nice upgrades like a newer woodburning stove (bring your own firewood), newer carpet, and remodeled bathroom downstairs. Modern conveniences like WiFi, Smart TV and bluetooth soundbar were also great. The kitchen is small but well-equipped with a good collection of spices and condiments. A small criticism would be that the place could use a general decluttering of drawers and cupboards to help make space...(3 can-openers!! VHS video collection!! Random unusable lids!! ) All in all, a lovely spot for a few days in Tahoe!

This little cabin was awesome for our group of 6. 4 minute drive to Homewood and very close to the main road. The listing was vague and the rental company representing this home is clueless. Hope this answers some questions!
-great horseshoe shaped driveway making it easy to pull in and out. Driveway was plowed and stairs accessible up to front door. Grand Welcome couldn’t confirm it was plowed and when. Shovels at front door.
-check SIDE of fridge for check in/check out instructions as the water is off and no where in the listing or the info sent by the management company (Grand Welcome) does it tell you to read about turning the water on. We called Grand Welcome thinking the pipes were frozen and it took 2 calls for them to tell us to look on the side of the fridge. Wish this had been in the emails, or better yet have the person answering the phone know what’s going on!
-lots of dishes, silverware, mugs, glasses and odd assortment of pots, pans and bowls. Kitchen is tiny but works just fine!
-a whole cupboard of spices, cooking sprays etc. and fridge had a ton of condiments.
-downstairs shower has been re-done and is very nice, spacious and clean.
-linens, sheets, blankets and towels seemed new and were soft and cozy.
-no firewood, paper or kindling. Come prepared as the power went out and we needed that fire!
-a clean, comfy, small cabin that will remind you of your grandparents house! Would stay again!

Snowy, good backyard space for kids to play. Very cozy. Driveway was icy. Checkout time pretty early. Down stairs bathroom could use remodel but we loved the cabin.

This cabin was a good match for our need (3 couples) were each couple had a room. Kitchen and bathrooms were really small and it’s an old cabin with old furniture and kitchen gear, it could use some investment. Overall was a good place to stay, location was great and it was cozy.

We had a mixed experience at this property. Due to the late booking this was pretty much the only place left for our size group and had no reviews. I’ll start with the positives. The location of the house is great. Inside it was clean with pretty comfortable beds. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. The management company was easy to reach and communicate with when we had a question. The negatives are no laundry which was a big inconvenience. There was a washer and dryer in the house but had a note that it was not for renters. Also, everything in the house needed to be updated from the TVs from the 90s to the downright scary shower downstairs. The backyard had a no grill, nowhere to sit, had some stuff piled up on the concrete patio, which made it unusable. I would not rent the house again.

Location is awesome, the cabin is great! however the bed linens were very old and because of age appeared not clean and pillows were completely flat and very old. Needs new bedding and mattresses as soon as possible. One twin bed could not be used due to broken headboard that moved back and forth into my sons head. cobwebs , spiders, need to be swept/vacuumed from the corners of the interior house as well. But all in all a great little cabin, but plan to bring your own bedding pillows and towels. We would stay again despite beds we would just plan ahead to bring our own. Every other aspect of the cabin is awesome. Thank you!
