Great Stay at Last Yan

We had a lovely stay at Last Yan. Very comfortable, clean, central, a great location and base to visit the Lake District. Highly recommended

A step stool to help one get out of bath/shower would be nice

Very good and will go again.

Good central location, larger inside than it looked, very quiet considering location.

Parking was as described in a review, had to park at lake road carpark and paid for 3 day pass but it was said this could be used on other car parks using the mobile app but this wasn't the case. Had to pay separately for other sites that use the same company.

Lovely cottage in a great location

A delightful cottage a stone's throw from the centre of Ambleside. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. A slight hitch on check in was rectified within minutes. Will happily return

Great facilities and location. Lovely and warm!

Took ages to find if the instructions had just said look for the red garage down from the florest - go through the gate on the left-hand it would have saved an hour and asking a local builder- the internet search was vague and just showed the general area!

Great location

Great location on a quiet street yet near to all amenities. Spotlessly clean. Parking not a problem using a 3 day parking ticket which was transferable to other south lakeland car parks.

Nothing apart from a socket near a mirror for the hairdryer

The bed was so uncomfortable like in the middle of the night the bird was separating an hour legs was going between the beds but I must say the property was amazing

Quite a surprising little apartment, tucked away & really cosy.

Nice central location, hidden away in a quiet back street. Clean & well presented

We weren’t made aware that dishclothes or tea towels aren’t provided at the property.

Very good

Fantastic location, right in the heart of Ambleside and minutes from shops and restaurants. Very comfortable and clean flat, perfect for a couple’s stay for a week. Very comfy bed!

A few small things need attention, eg cooker extractor fan not working. Would be good to have a bin in the bathroom and some bowls in the kitchen.

Great location

Right in the heart of Ambleside. Near to all amenities, Restaurants shops cafes bars. Lovely Little cottage. Lovely bedroom. Property very clean.

No parking had to pay £17.50 for 3 days at a near by carpark. Would be nice to have a parking permit to be able to park for free as we have had with previous accommodation we have stayed at in Ambleside. Could also do with a gas or electric fire as still cold even with heating on. Also would be nice to have a bathroom cabinet or shelves in the bathroom to put toiletries on.

Ideal base for exploring the Lake District

I must admit I did worry slightly when I read some of the negative reviews that appeared between booking and arriving, but I was very impressed with the cottage. Yes, there are some things that could be done differently, but it had everything that we needed to enjoy our time in the lakes. Super central location, the trade of being it was a 2min walk to the car. Host was very friendly and helpful. Cottage was well equipped and clean.

There was nothing about the property we didn’t like, as a base for days out walking it was perfect. I do however think a welcome pack rather than the brief “personalised” check in and out instructions would be beneficial as we struggled to find the accommodation (although it’s really easy if your given the pointers of red garage door).

Good centrally located cottage

Well kept clean comfortable accommodation in a quiet street - a good location for all the amenities of Ambleside. 5 minute walk to pubs, restaurants and shops. Ideal for self catering. Good modern bathroom with a bath - great for fell walkers/climbers.

Using the nearby car park was OK as Ambleside wasn’t busy but might be a problem in high season. Lounge needs a coffee table and either a dimmer switch or a table lamp as overhead roof lights are very bright.
