The room and location was lovely
We had to ask for heating, it was only put on for an hour and then it was turned off, we asked later in evening for heating but didnt come on. There was no heating for the duration of the stay, except the hour when we asked for heating.
It was cold in the room, and although the bed was comfortable, we slept with clothing on.
We reported this in the morning and were told this wasn't the first complaint and it was the Inn that kept turning it off.

The actual room was nice, clean and the view over the estuary lovely.
The bed was made every day & towels replaced. The tea & coffee was replenished daily too.
The access (up a flight of external stairs in a very untidy service yard at the back of the pub) was not ideal and the bannister stones loose. The paint on the external door was peeling and unsightly. The curtains in the room kept coming unhooked, they need replacing.

Loved the suite, it was huge.
The view is amazing
Very comfortable bed and the shower was lovely.
Good to have a fridge in the room
Parking and access is round the back of the pub and this is very tired, extremely messy and full of rubbish and ashtrays full of butt's.
In the room the only thing that would be good is to add a toaster or mini kitchenette, as the suite is huge so plenty of room. It would help as the inn isn't connected to any hotel services.
Breakfast is offered at the nearby hotel but it was pricey!

Noisy staff when finishing work woke us up, revving motorbike on the yard at the bottom of our steps.

Fantastic location

It was a nice roomy suite. With a great view of the estuary. There is a pub downstairs which does food or the hotel is just a couple of minutes walk offering another option. (they provide take outs on request). It is situated a short walk from the Ravenglass railway Station which was perfect for us.

Excellent Room Excelent food at the hotel

breakfast was very good value, with excellent service
the outside stairs to our room were steep. people with walking difficulties or frail would find them hard to get up and down

Amazing room and AMAZING view. Just loved every minute of our stay.
For the price of the room I expected the mattress to be of better quality. It felt very cheap and wasn’t very comfortable and every time my partner turned over the whole bed wobbled. My ikea mattress at home is a lot better quality than the one provided.

Being right on the sea estuary we spent hours walking up and down the beach and watching the tide coming in and going out. Muncaster Castle is also a treat and we could wander the grounds for hours too.

Good selection of breakfast choices
Cooked well and hot when served
Could have done with the room being a bit warmer, everything else was very good
4.5
Great location and pleasant accommodation, well presented. Lovely view over the water.
Breakfast not included and expensive to add!
Steep external stairs to access room and unsightly/ scruffy pub yard.

Lovely location and fabulous views. Such a quiet get away.

good breakfast but rather costly

I didn’t have breakfast.
Very steep steps up to room. Was difficult to climb up them with a suitcase and hand bag.
No number on door so wasn’t sure I was in right place.
No mirror to use near hairdryer. No full length mirror.

The location
slow service. Noisy bar below bedroom.

The website suggested the Inn at Ravenglass was open and providing meals and drinks - CORBY CASK ALE! but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Food at the local hotel OK but not the best and the Bar was over priced.

excellent location, very quiet and peaceful
it needs a good clean, perhaps a new carpet and curtains
5.0
peaceful. Well appointed, excellent location
not a fan of the mattress but then you can't please everyone and it's just down to personal preference.
4.5
Excellent food, room, staff and the way our dog was allowed in the bar and one of the dining rooms and was given tit bits by both staff and other guests.
Rather steep steps up to our room 24

Absolutely beautiful! Took our our 6 month old puppy and the staff, food, room and location were all perfect! Looking to book again soon!

The view was amazing and the size of the room was great as well
No access to wifi in the room although I had specifically asked about this prior to travelling as my husband needed to work on one of the days we were there. First staff couldn't find the passcode, and then couldn't get it to work. Staff also seemed not to manage to serve breakfast and help guests who had finished breakfast at the same time.
A nice selection for breakfast except for the available fruit which was a tiny fruit pot.

Stunning views. Perfect for watching the sunset or sunrise if you're up early enough.
The room was huge - we said they could have two rooms in the space.
The food (from the Hotel a few doors down) was superb and comfy sofas in the bar area were very comfortable.
Food & drink prices were reasonable for 'Hotel' prices.
Appearance of the block we stayed in. Downstairs wasn't being used and outside was full of weeds and rubbish.
Entrance to our room was hard to find as we weren't told the door was behind the building.
We had to walk into a messy back yard then unused pub corridors to get to our room.
Room smelt musty but settled when we sprayed and opened some windows.
Service was a little hit & miss but good when there was service.
Some small unnecessary things wrong in the room - WiFi password wasn't provided unless asked, wallpaper ripped and could have been stuck down with a bit of glue, nails in the wall where pictures should have been and biscuits that were provided were broken and just crumble.
Overpriced for a room above an unused pub.
