“Everything as advertised. In great location that allowed us to easily do everything we wanted in the Saugatuck area. Beautiful walk downtown, easy walk to The Southerner (our fave dining of the week), and it was great to have easy access to Blue Star Hwy. (Also highly recommend Pennyroyal for food/drink). The character of the house added to the enjoyment of our stay. We used almost everything available to us - grill, yard, fire pit, etc. Everything worked and was in great condition. The host, Melissa, was incredibly easy to work with. Tons of detailed and frequent communication. We didn't have to guess on a thing. Thank you, Melissa - we hope to stay at another one of your properties soon!!”

In Prime Season, June 15-Sept 7, 2025, we book Sunday to Sunday which can be perfect for wedding groups.

This house, known as the Bandle Farm, plays a unique role in Saugatuck's artist community heritage. In 1902 the artists from the Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago who eventually founded Ox Bow Summer School of Painting gathered in the house and painted during their summer break from Chicago.

Are you coming to enjoy the lakeshore in the spring or fall? We've built two gas fireplaces for inviting conversation in either living room.

The floorplan accommodated our families very well with spacious common areas inside and out and the master suite with a sitting room and adjoining twin bedroom was great for the family with two little ones

We loved our stay at this property and will definitely be back. Such great first floor space for a larger group with kids to spread out and have more than one family room to relax in. The bedroom situation worked great for us, as we have 3 little kids, but the 2 twin bedroom is accessed from inside the primary bedroom (with the king bed) so for some groups that may not work out great. The twin room was also extremely hot at night, even with the box fans running. That is truly our only complaint of the house as our little kids were quite warm at night. Otherwise we thought the home was perfect and will definitely book again in the future!

Our multi-generational family spends a week each summer playing on the beach in a fun town, enjoying quality time in the home we rent. This property was the perfect match for all of our criteria. The 1870 vintage home is quite lovely, but it's not pretentious or "foo foo". The comfortable home provided the backdrop for our week of pure fun and relaxation. The layout was excellent for creating space for different family units and the furnishings were very comfortable. Our family's favorite spots to tuck away and relax included the front porch with Adirondack chairs looking out upon a lovely lush yard and also the back yard which is private, beautiful, fenced in for our pups, with a wonderful fire pit for summer evenings. Melissa was extremely helpful in providing ideas for activities in the area. Her communication was timely and comprehensive. Our family of grandparents, adult kids and grand babies had a fantastic week together. The highest recommendation: we have already booked another week next summer!

This was our 2nd stay at this spacious and beautiful property. The house is more than large enough for our family of 5 adults and one pet. The property is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The back yard is charming and perfectly suited for a family BBQ, we entertained a party of 8 and could have fit a few more. The location is an easy couple of minutes walk from downtown Saugatuck. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed the property and it’s location. The Master Suite is very nice. The other two upstairs bedrooms have to use a small hallway bathroom. The downstairs bedroom is small, with no clothes closet and the double bed has one side against the wall so if the person on the wall side need to get up for any reason the person on the other side must get up as well. Kitchen and dining areas are very adequate and the leisure space is well placed and furnished. The outdoor patio space is nice but is in direct sunlight most of the day.

We just returned from a weekend stay in Saugatuck and we were incredibly impressed with this home! Beautiful hardwood floors, modernized with lots of amenities. The kitchen is stocked with anything and everything you could ever need. Our family loved to sit out back with the fenced in yard to chat and sit out front in the Adirondack chairs to watch people go by. The owner is gracious and communicative and we hope to be back. Very clean!! Don’t hesitate to rent this beauty. Tons of space and rooms for your family :)

Stayed for our daughter's wedding with 2 additional couples. Worked out great with everyone having their own bedroom and bathroom. It is close to the Southerner restaurant and you can walk everywhere but I prefer to be a little bit closer to the middle of town as you don't have to walk as far. The place was very nice, lovely backyard and front porch also. Loved the wood bannisters on the stairs.
