About this farm stay rental

The most adorable little farmhouse in ALL of Waco is situated neatly in the heart of the Baylor University campus and is just blocks from local attractions like the Silos, Balcones Distillery, Cameron Park, and of course, Baylor University. Famed BU hot spots like Shorty's Pizza Shack (we're right across the street!), Dancing Bear, and Scruffy Murphy's are just a short walk away!

Luxury finishes and amenities from Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Casper, Sony, and Frigidaire blend perfectly with the home's farmhouse style and character providing a peaceful, tranquil space that's ultra accommodating and convenient!

This home has undergone an extensive remodel which includes a new HVAC system managed by a Nest thermostat, a tankless hot water heater which supplies new Kohler fixtures, and new Frigidaire appliances; much of the original home which was built in 1905 was restored to preserve the original character.

The entire home is yours! A cozy living room, quaint kitchen, and large dining room flank two generous bedrooms and a stellar bathroom. Outside, covered parking for two, a large covered deck, and small yard complete with patio are all yours! New spa added May 2021.

We arrived to a quant home located within the Baylor bubble. The home is nicely decorated. We had great nights of sleep as the beds were very comfortable and the rooms cooled down to a comfortable sleeping temperature. When we arrived, temperatures outside were over 100 degrees and the home was a balmy 78 degrees. Over the course of the evening the temperature didn't come down and climbed a bit higher, so I messaged the property manager and they sent a technician that evening. I was shocked. Responsive! He was extremely nice and stated that the air coming from the a/c was 58 degrees but the home is so old and didn't have any insulation with single pane windows that the a/c can't keep up. Cooking increases the temps in the home so no cooking or you have temps over 80 degrees. They have central a/c and a unit vented in the bedroom windows and you still can't get temps down. The hot water was also an issue. Some days you get a hot shower and some days you don't. This was an issue every morning when we were showering. Thankfully, summer water from the tap is not cold so we worked through it. The prop manager did send a technician to work on that too. It's a quaint home but we won't stay there again. It is old, the floors are warped but it has charm and we are into that. Unfortunately, we like creature comforts of hot water and an air conditioned home too.

I loved the vintage charm of the house. You could see where corners were cut it didn’t feel the cleanest. And the hot tub was basically in the front yard so that was wierd. It also smelt bad. And not to mention how busy the street it sits in is. So if you wanted to use the hot tub you would need to be ok with all the people passing by you. Not too relaxing.

We enjoyed the property - it was renovated beautifully and the decor was gorgeous. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The house is just across from a small strip mall area and is a little busy, but once inside - the home was wonderful!

This quaint little house was perfect for a quick getaway to Waco. It was adorably decorated and perfectly situated near Baylor and several area attractions. There was a pizza place directly across the street and a donut store within walking distance. The patio area with a hot tub was a perfect spot to relax. The beds were comfortable and, while there was a lot of street noise (as listed in other reviews) there are noise machines to help block some it and it was mostly only on the weekends. It had everything we needed for our stay, but if you have kids who like to dirty a lot of dishes, you’ll want to bring some paper plates and cups. The manager was very responsive and helpful.
