This is a beautiful, clean, nicely decorated home in a well kept neighborhood. Loved having the amenities, the nice paved roads and the pool. The outdoor pool is just beautiful! We enjoyed all the Adirondack chairs on the porch and spent our mornings sitting out there drinking coffee. The only reason we didn’t give it five stars is we had some water issues. I believe this affected several houses in the area. One day the water started running brown and shortly after that we were notified we were on a boil advisory. This lasted several days. So it was inconvenient to be on vacation, trying to relax, but not able to brush your teeth or wash your dishes without boiling the water. It would have been nice if the rental company made some accommodations. We had to run out and get a lot of bottled water. Two people in our group ended up getting sick with stomach issues-We are not sure if it was related to the water or viral. Unrelated to this boil advisory, several of the toilets in the house ran pretty much constantly and therefore had trouble flushing. The water issue aside, our stay was lovely and really it’s not a reflection on the quality of the house itself. It was just an inconvenience to experience while on a vacation. We would definitely stay again!!

We really enjoyed staying at Blue Sky. The house was great and had plenty of room. It could have used more cooking (i/e/ pots and pans, ) for cooking for a large family. Other than that, we really enjoyed it. The pools and amenities were first rate.

Enjoyed the house ……..Very cozy and relaxing! Good times with FAMILY & FRIENDS!

Great place to stay! Very relaxing. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Listing management was very nice and helped us get checked in and through the gate when we needed it.

This property was great for my family trip to celebrate my parents anniversary. There was space for each family to have some privacy and the communal area was large and well laid out. The kids loved going to the indoor pool and we were close to lots of activities.
4.7
We loved the property and the closeness to the clubhouse. Plenty of space for the whole crew and absolutely loved our time in the mountains and such a beautiful setting.

The house was great for our family trip. We visited with 4 families, including 5 small children and the space worked very well for us. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment and the check-in process was excellent. We had an issue with the hot water the first day, but it was dealt with promptly.
The location of the house is perfect. We were near hiking, wineries, breweries, the alpine coaster, Grandfather Mountain and restaurants and grocery stores. The indoor swimming pool is right across the street and the kids had a great time swimming.
There are two bedrooms downstairs. We used the bunk room, but prospective guests should know that the other room downstairs doesn’t have a door and was less usable as a bedroom.
4.7
We had an amazing time! I loved the spaciousness of the house. We had three families and all the kids stayed downstairs. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool and the parents enjoyed outdoor time with their families.
4.7
We had such a great time. Plenty of room and super clean.

Very nice spot just 15 minutes away from Tweetsie Railroad, Boone and Blowing Rock. It's a spacious house with numerous bedrooms. Directly across the street is an awesome pool that family enjoyed. Quiet, Clean. If you are planning on cooking, bring all ingredients including spices, Pam, etc. Kitchen will well stocked with equipment.

Great property! Comfortable and a perfect mountain cabin feel. Property was very clean and easy to get to. Would highly recommend it

We really enjoyed this property. Overall, it was clean, well maintained, adequately stocked and a great location for all of our adventures. The living room was a little smaller than what the pictures made it seem, but we made it work. The porch and outside seating were awesome. The mattresses in all the bedrooms except master really need to be upgraded. I’m not usually picky, but these were pretty flimsy and cheap. And one or two more small/medium size pots for cooking might be helpful. Overall though, we had a wonderful week spent with family. The amenities at the resort were amazing and the communication with the rental company was right on point! We would for sure stay here again!

The location of the property is great. Checking and checking out the staff was great. Beautiful house.

Stayed with two other families and we had enough room for everyone. The fireplace didn’t work when we arrived but someone came the next day to fix it. Kids had a blast. The pool and hot tub are were okay. Hot in wasn’t working the second day. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. We had a great stay.

The listing description was accurate as described. A few hiccups that occurred on the stay but they were addressed in a timely manner. Two complaints, the heating in the house was inconsistent from level to level and for a house that sleeps this many guests the hot water heater needs to be upgraded to accommodate so many guests. Overall it was a nice place to stay

Wonderful family vacation spot!

Stayed here with with a group of couples and way to many bunk beds/twin beds for all couples to have their own space. If you are staying here with more than 3 people bring your own trash bags. Towels are also short supply. Overall the house was nice and clean but misleading space wise.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this house. It was a very comfortable, clean, cozy house and we made some very special memories with our family. Only a couple of small problems, which did not affect the quality of our visit: The sinks in the master bath wee both clogged and slow to drain. The a/c unit was very loud and needs to be addressed.

College friends met in Boone to celebrate App State Homecoming and 35 years since our graduation!! House was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Very nice! Five stars, but there are a few suggestions: for a house that sleeps 16, would have been nice to have dining room and living room seating to accommodate everyone. Only dishwashing powder for 2 runs….would have been nice to have a few more…when there is a crowd, you use a lot of dishes.

This was a perfect location for our family girls weekend! The property is beautiful and well represented in the description. All cooking utensils we needed were provided. Bring any seasonings, food wrap etc. you may need. Use ground cofee, no keurig:) Scenery is beautiful. We will definitely be back!

This house states it is a 5-bedroom house but it is definitely not. The “5th bedroom” is actually a room that has to be passed through to get to the bunk bed bedroom and the laundry room, has no closet or storage and has a futon as “the bed”. Definitely not suitable for 5 adult couples with or without kids.

Home convenient to all attractions and loved having the indoor pool across the road!
4.7
This home is nice! The master suite is fantastic and the outdoor deck is so peaceful. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub. I do think that the living room couch and the queen mattress in the front bedroom need replaced. They are both extremely uncomfortable. Everything else was great!

This is the best location and cabin in proximity to the pool and downtown areas. It was clean and perfect for our family.

The property looked exactly like it did in the pictures and everyone who stayed loved it. The area was very nice and you didn’t have to drive far to get to anything. We were all able to fit comfortably and the views were amazing. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

A very nice house! A very nice resort!

Perfect home for multiple family members where everyone has their own space. Beautiful views with the floor to ceiling windows! Had an excellent time!

129 Settlers Rest was a great vacation getaway. It sleeps 16 but the living area isn’t quite large enough for that many people. The house was a great location , clean, and the beds were comfortable!
4.7
We absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect, the house was everything as advertised, and we couldn’t have asked for anything better!
4.7
we were so pleased with the house, and the location. the house was so beautiful and well furnished our plans are to stay here again. meet several guest in the pool and everyone was so friendly.

This is a great property for large groups. We had 6 kids ranging from 10-15. There was something to do for everyone. Fishing in the stocked pond was the best entertainment for the kids. They loved being able to walk across the street to the pool and just beyond was the stocked trout pond. Grandfather mountain was a short drive from the house. Great location and nice set up.

Wonderful location! Great view! Really nice place!

We had a wonderful time at Echota and the property was perfect for our family. We had 6” of snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day which was beautiful! The house was very clean and exactly as presented on the website. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great mountain vacation,

We were 2 families and we had a wonderful stay! The house was very nice as well as the condo facilities (ie Pool). However, note that master bedroom’ mattress is old and has deeped / sunk on both sides. This mattress needs to be replaced for a new one. Other than that, everything was perfect!
