Bernard’s landing is great, and this particular building is a favorite of our family! This apartment had a bit of unnecessary (in my opinion) decor and kitchen equipment, which made it tricky to find what you need and to keep track of your own stuff. That was a little stressful. Also needed to rewash towels as they smelled of smoke. Patricia responded kindly when I let her know about this. Be sure to bring your own toilet paper. (Only two rolls are provided-per the contract.)

We had a great visit to the area and truly think the value of this unit is in the amenities (we used the pool, beach area, and pickle ball courts) and the balcony facing the lake was beautiful. Unfortunately the inside of the condo was more cluttered than expected, and rather than feeling like a space created to be a rental, it felt like the owners left for the weekend and we were just staying there. There were random items in the living room, expired food in the fridge, and it felt like there were so many items/decorations out and shut away in cabinets that the home didn’t really feel clean (we noticed dust, food stuck on dishes, towels smelled like smoke) and more. We ended up having a fine stay, but for the amount of money we paid we would expect the unit to be more cleanly and catered towards renters.

Very comfortable bed and sofa. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need - fully stocked. Spacious patio with an amazing view of the lake. I woke to enjoy the spectacular sunrise every morning and it was probably the highlight of my stay. Excellent host. Quick to respond and made check in seamless. We look forward to returning.

The location was perfect! Lots of fun! There was a beach to swim and hang out, or float by the docks. Napoli restaurant in development was phenomenal! Also boat rental right in development too! Would definitely go back to Bernard’s Landing!

This condo was perfect for our family. Beautiful lake view, walking distance to the pool and it was the perfect size for our family of four. Condo was clean and Trish answered questions and returned emails quickly. Perfect for our first trip to SML. We will definitely return.

2 co-workers and I planned a “retreat” prior to upcoming meetings. The location is absolutely beautiful. We worked in the morning, hit the pool in the afternoon and dined on the balcony enjoying the view. I would definitely return for another girls weekend or just with my husband.

This two bedroom two bath condo is very spacious, it has an incredible view and is ashort walk to the pool and other amenities. The unit is so comfortable and has absolutely everything you need from cooking too relaxing. We loved it so much we have booked again for later this summer! My husband and two children ages 16 and 9 stayed July 8-11 and had an absolutely amazing stay! We arrived very late from AZ and Trish communicated all instructions on entry very clearly and had no issues. The kitchen is very well stocked with anything you'll ever need! This place had stunning views, very quiet and clean! We rented a boat onsite and had such a great time on the lake. I highly recommend! My boys went golfing and needed collared shirts and the gift shop found all their sizes in the back room without even probing them to look. Customer service was amazing every where we went in Smith Mountain. Many memories made that will be spoken about for decades to come! We also met several full time residents and everyone was so welcoming. Thank you for opening your home to us Trish! Kathy, Tony, Hudson and Sawyer

This condo was the best stocked. We loved sitting on the porch swing on the deck. The view is amazing and the docks are perfect for jet skiis as this Bay is very calm and private. The king bed is amazing. It is the most comfortable mattress that my husband and I have ever slept on. We would love to stay again. We stayed in the Clubhouse Towers later in the week but liked this location better. Thanks Trish for sharing your lovely condo.

We would rent again, we like the area and location of property and docks. However the rental was not clean. ( bathrooms had hair on floor and in tub and urine around toilet, kitchen had crumbs, living room wall mirror still had handprints back deck had never even been swept and spiderwebs everywhere.) Addressed with property manager and was told it had been cleaned and did not even come to assess the rental. I spent the fisrt day cleaning rental enough that my family felt comfortable staying. I feel with the price that was paid to stay, cleaning issue shouldve been handled differently. I dont like to complain and usually give good reviews and I would love to stay again. Just needed to be cleaner.
