Come relax at this stunning waterside retreat nestled in the trees on the bank of Island Park Reservoir perfectly situated to soak in legendary Idaho sunsets every evening. Enjoy picture perfect views from the floor to ceiling windows of this family friendly luxury home with a private dock where you can bring your water toys or rent them nearby. Fishing and swimming from the dock, boating, hiking, biking, snowmobiling or day trips to surrounding historic areas; there's something for everyone!
Hibernation Station is located within walking distance of Lakeside Lodge that offers a resort feeling where you can walk over and grab lunch, dinner or a drink on the deck overlooking the water. It's a perfect combination of seclusion but with plenty of amenities nearby. Island Park appeals to such a wide variety of guests because there is truly something for everyone. Fisherman can enjoy fishing right off the dock or enjoy the nearby lakes or rivers for legendary fly fishing. If ATVs or snowmobiles are more your style, leave straight from the house and access the local trails systems with hundreds of miles of fun at your fingertips. There is horse back riding, hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, floating, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and more all within our neck of the woods.
Inside the home, you will find that we've made every effort to provide all the comforts of home and more. Free WiFi, Dish TV, 7 Smart TVs, clean and comfy bedding, plenty of extra pillows and blankets, all your kitchen essentials, games, puzzles and even a children's kitchen play set. We've got an Xbox and a Wii for the gamers with 2 comfy gaming chairs and 3 huge soft bean bags for cuddling up and reading a book or taking a long over-due nap. The walk-out basement was just finished in mid February 2020 and features the second kitchen, an over-sized sectional and 70" TV atop of a second fireplace. The basement also has a treadmill.
In the bonus loft above the garage you'll find an awesome game room complete with a pool table, ping pong table, air hockey, PAC-MAN arcade game, gaming area with xbox, and futons and comfy seating to just relax and hang out. With three floors and 2 lofts, there is plenty of room for the whole crowd!
There are charging stations next to the beds, but you may not even need them because with so much else to do, you might just forget to check your phone!
The outdoor decks are equipped with patio furniture including tables, chairs and a swing beneath patio lights. (Patio furniture put away during colder months) You'll find a propane grill just off the kitchen where you can grill up the day's catch or provide the perfectly cooked steak for your guests.

What a beautiful, well cared for home. We loved everything about our stay. We had 14 people (9 adults and 5 kids) and had plenty of room to enjoy games and tons of laughs. The lake was perfect. Having our own private dock was so helpful. We will be staying here again for sure!

This was a wonderful property for our family of 15 to celebrate our moms 80th birthday. It comfortably housed our group with plenty of room to spare. It was clean, well stocked and comfortable. We would love to come back—it is a special place!

This was a fantastic place to stay for a family of 19! Grandma and Grandpa, 4 children with spouses and 9 grandchildren!! The house was everything in the description and then some! So much for the kids to do and easy drive to Yellowstone. The kitchen was stocked better than I could imagine. If we ever have the opportunity to come back to this area, we would definitely want to stay here!!

Everyone loved it as soon as we walked in. Such a beautiful place. We enjoyed some down time to rest and reconnect. We also spent 2 days exploring Yellowstone Park.

We loved every minute of our week-long stay at Hibernation Station. The location and views were gorgeous, the house was extremely well stocked, and we enjoyed so many activities that included boating, fishing, long walks on beautiful trails, sightseeing in Yellowstone, and many hours of happy family time. We just held a week-long family reunion at Hibernation Station and could not have been more delighted with this property. Three full floors plus a loft. Beds for each of our 18 family members and 4 full bathrooms. An amazingly well-stocked kitchen, access to all the fun at the neighboring lodge, and instant response from our host if we had any questions! We really lucked out on this one! Our kids went around saying good-bye to everything when they left and are already begging to go back!
My only suggestion, given that we were washing dishes 3 times a day, might be a more efficient dishwasher. 😜
But really, we had such a wonderful time!!!

Clean, well stocked, great for large groups!
Perfect accommodation for our group of 17. Teens loved the bunk rooms and loft. Main floor master was perfect for Grandma and Grandpa with mobility issues. Double ovens made dinner preparation a breeze and Sharie responded quickly with any concerns (our only issue was no AA batteries for the Xbox remotes-which normally wouldn’t be a problem but our first two days there it rained non stop!) Hoping to return soon!

Great house overlooking Island Park Reservoir! Convenient Location to rent Boat, ATV, Kayaks etc from Lakeside Lodge which is a walk away! We traveled into West Yellowstone to access the Yellowstone Park 2 days and only a 30 minute drive from the house. House is nicely laid out with a game room over the garage and nice sleeping accomodations in all the rooms. The basement TV couch can accomodate 11-12 peopleand is super comfy! The view from the back deck was breathtaking. Sharie our contact was Johnny on the spot with any needs we had. :)

Wonderful vacation home
We had a large destination family reunion and had a blast! This home had tons of room and quiet nooks that people could relax in as well. The game room was a hit! We visited Yellowstone very frequently and the home wasn’t to far away. The home was clean and the fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed for large meals. We would stay here again if we came back!

The house has a very spacious kitchen for all to enjoy and eat together. The family room in the basement was fabulous for watching movie night. The morning sunrise and sunsets were incredible. The view...wow!
The lodge has out of this worlds food or just bbq on the grill and enjoy the house. The game room above the garage was a huge hit with adults playing pool or kids and air hockey. So many bedroom thru out the 4 floors and house built very well that babies slept very well.
Close to Yellowstone or go south to Jackson Hole for the day. We will be back.

Early Spring R&R
The property is stunning. Every amenity imaginable and a ton of room to spare. Hit the “dead season” to enjoy peace and quiet. It was heaven. I’m only assuming some cleaning spots were overlooked due to spring-cleaning not initiated just yet. The communication was impeccable, leading up to, during, and after. The location is to die for. 20 minutes to 1.5 hours you’re in Yellowstone, Wyoming, and every cute little quaint small town in between. The fishing was out of this world- trout & salmon. We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful and accessible all the water ways were. We will definitely be back in the summer months to enjoy the warmer weather and unthawed lake :)

Beautiful Home
This home in Island Park is beautiful. We stayed here for our visit to Yellowstone. Loved watching the pelicans and ducks on the lake in the evenings as we ate dinner. Our last morning as we were eating breakfast before leaving for the airport, we saw a mama moose and her calf walking along the shore.

Memories with our family
This home was fabulous. Our children/grandchildren all loved the spaciousness and could be in different areas without being on top of each other. It was very clean. The game room above the garage was a hit with everyone. Even the littlest grandchildren had fun with the air hockey and pacman games. The lake was fun for jet skis and fishing. The house's wood furniture was so fitting for this home and beautifully decorated with the bear theme. Everyone loved this home.

The perfect house in Island Park
Our family loved this house. It has everything anybody could want. The layout is great and there is plenty of things to do in the area. Being next to Lakeside Lodge is ideal because you can eat, shop, and rent lake toys. I highly recommend and I would hope one day to come back to this beautiful area

Perfect Cabin
Cabin was great. Plenty of room for all our family to enjoy Thanksgiving together. Cabin was nicely stocked and had plenty to do without having to bring a ton of stuff. Owners/Caretaker were very responsive to a minor issue and they helped get it corrected asap. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful View
Fantastic cabin with a beautiful lake view.
Too bad we did not stay longer than 3 nights. The cabin is really spacious and can easily accommodate three family of 5-6 people.

Absolutely fantastic! Family favorite location
Amazing location, immaculate, and big enough no one felt cramped even for our extended family. The two identical rooms on the top floor for separate boys and girls rooms for our large family. The meant the adults could stay up late and be noisy in the basement without having to worry about a thing. We loved being so close to the water and were able to launch our boat nearby. The dock was perfect to leave it tied up in overnight and not have to worry. The kids were in the water everyday jumping off the dock and having a blast with the inflatables we brought.

Absolutely Stunning Piece of Heaven
This property was all we had hoped and much more. The pictures don't do it justice. It is in the best location imaginable on Island Park Reservoir. The views are so lovely and the waterfront is incredible. The kids LOVEd the game room above the garage. The pool table and ping pong table were great, and the Pac Man arcade was a huge hit. The hot tub was grand, the dock was perfect for use for rentals, and it was fun to be right by Lakeside Resort for rentals such as a water trampoline and jet skis. The cabin is lovely and the entire family came away feeling blessed to have the opportunity to stay there.
The property had all that was promised and the communication with the manager was absolutely amazing. She was VERY fast to respond to any questions and inquiries and made us feel important. She was very easy to work with and VERY fair. We try to take care of any properties we stay at, but I know we leave our fair share of dirt behind. They did not ding us for anything and were nothing but gracious to us about everything. Hope to stay here again next year.

Perfect family getaway
I cannot say enough good things here or recommend this house strongly enough! We stayed with our extended family of 9 adults and 8 children (infant to grandma and grandpa), and Hibernation Station was perfect! The photos really do not do justice to this beautiful home. You can tell that the owners keep the house just the way they want it for themselves to use. There was plenty of room for everyone to have privacy and quiet time, and big enough gathering areas for us to be together. It is close enough to Yellowstone that we spent a few days there, yet there is plenty to do right in the closer areas of the house. We really didn't want to leave to come home. One of my grandsons said, "I wish this could be our house forever!" This is the most well stocked vacation home we have ever stayed in. Usually I find we have to run to the store for a couple of things that are lacking, not this time! The owner and manager were so accommodating to our group, and we really appreciate the extra effort of providing high chairs, a pack and play and strollers. Top notch service and communication all the way around. The lake is beautiful and the fire pit was a hit. The kids loved the bonus/game room!! Thanks for a fantastic stay, we will definitely be back!
