About this house rental
Located on 20 beautiful acres, this home is the perfect location for any desired vacation. Surrounded by open land and orchards there is plenty of room to roam and enjoy nature, play games in the grass surrounding the home or lounge by the pool. The inside of the home is newly remodeled and beautifully decorated to ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxing. With a large, open kitchen with lots of counter space, 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers and full size side-by-side fridge and separate freezer it's a dream kitchen for any group.
It's a fantastic location for your own Shelter-in-Place escape. With Wi-Fi throughout the house there's plenty of space to work or do school from home!
Each of the four bedrooms are designed for the comfort of each guest with quality mattresses and bedding. The master bedroom includes a king bed with an adjustable bed frame allowing you to raise and lower the head of the bed to your perfect height. The next guest room has a queen bed with the same adjustable bed frame. On the other side of the house there are two additional guest rooms. One includes a queen bed as well as a twin size day bed with additional pull-out bed below. Alongside that is what we've dubbed the "bunk bed room" which includes THREE bunk beds (two doubles and one triple) giving you 7 beds for a fun slumber party!
There is also a hide-a-bed couch in the living room with a pull out full size bed. Pack-n-play cribs available upon request as well as a highchair if needed.
The four bathrooms all include a spacious shower with one bathroom including a tub and one bathroom including a no-threshold shower with seat and support bars.
And don't forget about the beautiful 20 acres the home is located on! Bring your frisbee, soccer ball or football and enjoy the open fields. Stroll through the olive orchards or up to the old barn. And then enjoy the outdoor BBQ and seating out by the pool. Pool is fully fenced with two lockable gates and no access from inside the house.
There is plenty of parking but no garage or covered parking.

Historic Coloma (Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park) is only 6 minutes away! Enjoy a day exploring the historic gold discovery town or rafting down the American River.
Or find your way 20 minutes up the road to Apple Hill to enjoy the shopping and delicious foods at the local farms and orchards.
And you're only 15 minutes away from Red Hawk Casino and 25 minutes from Folsom Lake or 1.5 hours to South Lake Tahoe!

We were in Placerville with our families for the weekend to tour our wedding venue and take engagement photos. It was a hot weekend so it was nice to have the pool to cool off in. Everything was great besides the wifi not working and the propane for the barbecue being empty. Other than that we loved our stay!

There is nothing like a quiet, peaceful area to spend 3 days, relaxing and enjoying nature, rest, conversations, games, etc. This place is highly recommended! There is lots of space in the house, well stocked kitchen, large refrigerator/freezer combination, extra oven and dishwasher, so food preparation was a whiz!! There are lots of windows, which we all enjoyed very much. The last evening there we were treated to a lightening show and that was fun to watch on both sides of the house. Instructions were clear for checking in and checking out. One of the staff members (they work in the heart of the City of Sacramento) commented how peaceful it was to take a walk in the olive orchards and not feel someone was lurking behind a tree to scare you. She found this refreshing! The children really enjoyed the yards, playing all sorts of games and make believing. Presently there is a big fire truck parked in the back and the children had a lot of fun having their pictures taken by it.
We recommend this place and would highly consider it for another time.
The hosts were prompt in getting back to us, which was helpful to know what to pack. Thank you so much for a restful place to go.

Wonderful family reunion in Placerville at Sergey & Clara's place. Everything was just like the photos. Kids especially enjoyed the pool and plenty of space for all 35 family members to comfortably mingle for meals. Bedding is a bit soft/mushy in the rooms, would've preferred firmer mattresses. Communication with the host was a bit spotty through VRBO messaging but was fine once we were communicating through text messaging directly.
Everything else was fantastic and worked out perfectly for us.

If you want quiet, a swimming pool and surrounding olive orchards, this is your place. It's a great place to mellow. The town of Placerville is a 15 minute drive if you want to mingle.

My family had an amazing time at this home. It was spacious enough for us to spread out. The outside of the home was just as spacious. The kids played volleyball, they were able to fly kites, they had a picnic and we were able to set up sip and paint for them all outside. We did not turn on the television and told the babies zero screen time this weekend and no one missed it. I asked everyone at the end of our weekend what was their favorite part and they all agreed it was exploring! We’re definitely planning on returning!

This is a beautiful home! It worked great for our large group to gather and spread out while in town for a wedding. The large kitchen made for a great gathering spot. The layout of bedrooms worked great for those that wanted to have quiet space away from everyone! This is a beautiful property, we just wished we could stay longer!

We had a wonderful stay here over Christmas weekend that the family is still talking about. We were an extended family of 10..... a 72 year old Grandma, three adult couples, three 10-year-old grandkids, and three little Chiuahuas. The layout of the house provides plenty of communal space and a huge kitchen for family activity as well as bedrooms located down opposite wings to allow for a peaceful retreat for those wishing to escape the family chaos for a bit. It was too cold for us to swim, but for families with kids it is good to know that the pool is just outside the main living room/kitchen area with big windows making it very visible for keeping an eye on the kids while working on lunch.... The property is beautiful with lots of room to roam around....and very photogenic for outdoor family pics at sunset. We would highly recommend this property for a perfect family or friends getaway!

Beautiful setting and property

Four of us (all adults) + a dog spent a very relaxing three nights here. The house is huge so there was plenty of space to spread out and have down time, but we also spent a lot of time around the kitchen table together enjoying each other's company, playing games, and chatting. The pool was invaluable in the close to 100 degree heat, and we all were swimming or floating multiple times a day! Only being 15 minutes from downtown Placerville also made it easy to run errands like going to the store or picking up takeout for dinner.
It was great being able to walk the dog on the property, though beware – there are some very hard, sharp, small seeds (maybe from the star thistle?) all over the ground anywhere that's not landscaped, which kept getting in our dog's paws and embedded in the soles of our shoes. After talking to the caretaker (?) that stays in the small house onsite, we realized we could walk the dog over by the barn and pond, which was much easier on everyone's feet, and it was fun to see what birds were hanging out by the pond in the morning.
Overall we had a lovely stay and we all wished we were able to stay longer!

Bachelorette party wine tasting weekend
We had an amazing time at this beautiful property! We were wishing we had another day to just hang out at the house and enjoy sitting by the pool (though it was a little too cold to actually swim!). It is a beautiful, comfortable house. It was perfect for our group of 10 for the weekend. Property owners were very responsive and helpful. If you enjoy cooking, keep in mind that the cooking pans, utensils and knives are a bit limited, though the stove and oven are great. It could use a few very minor additions in the kitchen as far as cooking equipment and there were not enough coffee mugs for our entire group to have coffee at the same time. Wasn't much of an issue as we had a mix of early risers and late sleepers so we just washed some as we were done for the next group. Everything was functional and manageable with some nice perks, such as a counter top ice machine and a Keurig coffee maker. Our entire group was even able to squeeze around the dining table to eat and play games! All in all it was a fabulous weekend and I would love to stay here again!

Beautiful property with room for all
Pros: This house is huge and had plenty of sleeping space for our large family Christmas gathering. The kitchen is gorgeous and even fit everyone for a Christmas dinner. The fireplace and living room and very cozy.
Cons: The kitchen is lacking some basic tools (like measuring spoons/cups) that many rentals have. Additionally, we had some difficulty getting check in instructions and had to request them multiple times, finally receiving them the day of our arrival.
Overall, it was a great house and a beautiful location and we'd happily stay again.

Absolutely beautiful vacation rental
The property was absolutely beautiful and better than described. Entire home was super clean and very spacious. Our kids had a wonderful time roaming the orchards. Hosts were very helpful. The heater stopped working because it ran out of propane but they found us portable heaters quickly. I highly recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed!

Great house and pool for large family gathering
We gathered to celebrate an 80th birthday and this house was set up perfectly for everyone. Every bedroom had it's own bathroom nearby. Huge well appointed kitchen and dining. Wonderful pool. We were there when there was some smoke from fires but it cleared most afternoons so the pool was well used. We visited Coloma, wineries, and a casino. We will return again when we can visit Apple Hill, too.

Perfect home away from home
We had to evacuate due to the Caldor fire we quickly got in touch with the people that rent out this house and they were very responsive and quick with letting us reserve the place. Hosts are very responsive and the place was immaculate, even better than the pictures!

Amazing!
Beautiful property that feels secluded like you're on your own little heaven. The pool is large with full fencing around it, so you feel safe that children wont go in accidentally and drown. The house feels like it has two wings and the kitchen is huge. There is a small ice maker machine. Remember to start that up when you arrive as we went thru ice pretty fast. We fit all 14 of us very comfortably in the house. The property itself was very spacious and we took a stroll thru and found a yurt! That was a fun surprise.
Things to bring that we didn't realize was not provided: cleaning spray/wipes. extra toilet paper (for 4 bathrooms, there was only 1 extra roll available ). shampoo and body wash. fortunately Raleys was only 10 min away so we were able to pick up items easily.

Wonderful Family Retreat
This is our second time staying at this property (first time was last summer), and it’s a favorite for our entire family. Huge pool and a well appointed house with great layout if you have more than one family with you. This trip we even had a few deer, a quail family, and a turkey flock visit the side yard. My brother-in-law and his family joined us from the State of Washington last summer and made a special trip down here again this summer just to join us at this property for a few days. It’s a special place!

Property is maintain very nicely. Home was very clean inside and out, but we couldn't keep the flies away AND we found a rat in the pool one morning!!!
Kids wanted to stay in the pool passed 10pm, but received a message that the neighbors were complaining of people being outside. We were supposed to be inside the property by 10pm even though the neighbors are like a mile away.
So if you're a late swimmer and don't want to have curfew during your vacation I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOME!

Foothill Escape
This property is exactly as advertised. If you want to be out in the beautiful nature of the foothills at your own little oasis this is it. The house is spacious, the property is massive, the backyard was great for lawn games and the pool is huge. I definitely recommend staying here with friends and/or family.

A great get away!
After not being together for over a year due to pandemic, we decided to have a four day "reunion" with Grammy, 2 daughters, their husbands, kids and Grammy's dog. We found the perfect place in Placerville!
The owners were absolutely fantastic about helping us get ready for the trip. Communication was immediate and helpful.
The house has plenty of space to spread out - or be together! Although the pool was cold, the kids were in it most of the days. (So was a frog, a mouse, and something else that decided to take a swim at night. The house is located in open fields. It's so quiet and peaceful, a great place to just relax!)
The kitchen is massive and became the hub of the reunion. We're a game playing kind of family, so it was a good thing that we brought so many along as there weren't any in the house. The television in the family room is huge, terrific for movie night.
Each bedroom has its own bathroom. And the bunk room was a hoot for the cousins!
When it came time to leave, we all decided that we had found the perfect place to be together. We will most certainly be back! Thank you, Sergey and Clara.

Gold Star for this Gold Hill Property!
This property was a perfect place to gather our scattered family together for the weekend of our nephew's wedding in nearby Lotus. Everyone agreed that we could not have found a better place. The house has a wonderful flow, is exactly as pictured on VRBO, filled with natural light, and the large kitchen made cooking for our group very easy. Having 4 bathrooms made it easy for all of us to get ready for the wedding. We were blessed with great weather and enjoyed sitting out by the pool with our morning coffee. We would rent this house again in a heartbeat if we needed to stay in the area.
