Cockroaches and Toilet from Hell

The location

1. The toilet bowl is too near to the wall. My knee hits the edged wall in front. In order to use, need to sit sideways. Room C516 2. Please get a good pest control. I spent my time killing cockroaches.

Looks old n dirty. Shower water is low. Towel looks yellowish. Air cond is noisy and takes long time to cold

Can't expect a quite stay

Very classy look and nice furnishing. Room condition also quite good. Parking is at your own risk outside, but at least there is available parking. Price was very affordable when compared with other accommodations in PJ area.

Thin walls and not soundproof at all. Bad experience as it was so noisy inside the hotel and outside the hotel. The guests everywhere were quite noisy and there was construction going on outside. Cleanliness also need some improvement as it was so dusty and the sheets were dirty as well. Do not try the cafe called "The Pokok" in the building. Overrated and very expensive. No nearby shops.

Okay for the price!

Closer to most places, great location. Many restaurants/Cafe in the same building.

Every time needs to request for cleaning, but when requested they always clean. Had lots of ants in my room. I guess for a boutique hotel, and for the low price in the city centre, facilities were pretty much alright.

Decent place, aesthetic vibe. Just need to fasten the maintenance thingy (more specific pool)

A bit dissappointed because pool is under maintenance. I came at 30/12 they still say pool cannot be use because under maintenance (cleaning). During my stay, i have never saw the process of cleaning. Brought my child to stay there just because there’s pool actually

This is a very good quality hotel if the location meets your needs.

Comfortable room, good quality airconditioning. It's quiet at night. That parking is fair priced. It's maximum of RM7.00 per day, if you park for a long time. I'm ok with this price. The few cafes in the 2nd and 3rd floor serve affordable food if you are unable to go to SS2 for a meal. I've tried breakfast and lunch on the various days and the quality is above average. If you are meeting people in the premises, there are plenty of seating around the various floors. You won't have problems with privacy and comfort.

Not having a kettle was somewhat surprising but I can live with it by walking to the other side for the boiled water to make coffee in my room. My internet dropped quite a lot on the first day. I noticed that the router was outside my room.

Overall it is quite affordable for biz trip to save costs and for those who are not fussy, this is a good space.

I like it as it is new and I love the lobby so much. It is very big and spacious. My room for a single queen size bed room is also big where there’s a good dressing table which act as a good working table for me to use laptop to do work. Big wardrobe and shelves. Room is very clean and bedsheets were nice and comfy. Good to let my friends wait for me and experience the huge space at the lobby too. They can even do their video call there. There’s a lot of interesting places in the building like on the 2nd & 3rd level where there are artisans stores and cafes to shop around. Ground level there’s this Pokok KL Cafe which is a greenhouse concept cafe where it is very instagrammable. A lot of my KL friends suggested to meet there.

What I didn’t like about it is: - You cannot even check it earlier even at 230-245pm. The staffs will ask you to wait until about 255pm then you can check it. - The staffs were not friendly and smiley where you don’t feel welcome. 😬😅 - When I ask the lobby staff to arrange clean up my room, it was done when I got back in the evening. Disappointed. - the water heater for shower is very noisy when you turn it on. - in the middle of the night you can hear people chatting at the lobby where the sounds travel high to the room door. It is quite obvious. - the 2 drinking water bottles are a bit small and you will finish drinking thou there’s a water dispenser in the hall to refill but a bit too small. There’s a water flask but it is hard to fill it up at the dispenser. One big down side is that there’s no bar around the premise and have to travel out for a drink.

I will make this my regular hotel if I’m traveling to PJ, experience is so pleasant.

The property is located in a very interesting community hub that offers a marketplace for artisan coffee, F&B as well as designers stuff, it also has a supermarket.

Perhaps it’s the location as it is far from everything else but taking GRAB is not that hard.

Everything was Lovely I will come again

I ended up staying for 5 nights! so cheap only RM108 a nite lovely ambience so therapeutically designed lovely room loveli Pokok KL resto lovely daun cafe ohh many nice small shops in the building if u get sick there is specialist hospital the next block needs groceries? a grocery next door need a spa? just next door so many spots to do my work around the hotel

Many things can be improved by the hotel for a better experience from visitors

Newly Renovated Rooms, Clean.

Bathroom too small, lack of toiletries, reception unfriendly & lacking good customer service. Parking was RM 10-15 depending on the day.

You get what you paid

1. Clean and comfortable room, well lit, good room size 2. Great ambience 3. New decor and furniture 4. Cheap, far better than other budget hotels.

1. Unfriendly staff, cut your question before you finish asking. 2. SUPER PRICEY parking fares. Paid rm7 for 2 hours, we decided to park at the roadside after that. 3. Had to take a lift and walk to another block near the reception far to iron clothes. So funny, only one iron provided for the whole hotel premise. 4. The air conditioner took hours to cool the whole room. 5. The drain in bathroom got clogged everytime we had shower. 6. No water heater, the hairdryer and table lamp cannot be used, CHINA PLUG.

When I reached the room given to me. I found that there was no towel. I had to wait for at least one hour. I needed to take my bath. I called the receptionist in the front office , she was giving excuses on sending the towel. After multiple calls , then they sent the towel. There was no hot shower in the bathroom and the air conditioner running but was not cold. I came to the receptionist and gave the card for the room and booked another hotel nearby.

Good and worth it. Would plan my stay there agin in future for work trips.

Simple and nice. Lots of boutiques and cafes below which is nice. Got car park and late night check in.

All is good. Just that the walls of the room might need a lil repainting and brighter lights in the toilet.

By all means stay at Urban Living Residence, but avoid Jurrie....

Staying at Urban Living Residence was eventually enjoyable. The place has a modern vibe and well-designed spaces that offer a cozy escape. The modern amenities are seamlessly integrated for comfort and convenience, and the staff is attentive to make the stay pleasant. The excellent location gives easy access to city attractions, which adds to the overall experience. The rooms are thoughtfully designed for comfort and provide a relaxing space after a day of exploring. In essence, Urban Living Residence provides a memorable and welcoming urban getaway.

On the first night of my arrival, I arrived pretty late. The taxi ride from the airport took about two hours due to heavy traffic. I didn't waste time and went out quickly to find something to eat. By the time I got back to my room, it was almost midnight. When I went into the bathroom, I was disappointed that the toilet seat and bowl were not clean, and there were signs of urine and feces. On top of that, no bath towels were available, making the situation even worse. I was too tired to call the front desk, so I cleaned the toilet myself using a cloth with alcohol. After taking a shower, I had to make do with a small hand towel for drying off since there were no proper bath towels. I talked to Jurrie at the reception desk the following morning about these issues. Unfortunately, his response was not helpful. He acted aggressively, talked down to me, and used sarcasm. I was not happy with Jurrie.......
