Winter Driving
Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP here: https://bit.ly/3IKiY7n
Summer Patio Furniture
Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.
Office Holiday Hours
The TLUXP office is closed on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.

Absolutely no complaints about our stay at Holly's Hideaway. Shannon from TLP was super helpful during our snow-filled adventure and we would absolutely book again

We enjoyed our stay here immensely. The location was very convenient to Palisades/Alpine for skiing and to local Tahoe City restaurants. The layout of the house was great for a group with two gathering areas, a large and well appointed kitchen, and a great backyard. The house was clean, modern, and the check in and out process was easy.

Awesome house with plenty of space for 7 adults. Spectacular fireplace with stone from floor to ceiling. Viking range in a very spacious kitchen. Pool table on upper level was in very good condition. Backyard has two levels. Bottom level has jacuzzi and area for ping pong table. Upper level has plenty of space with a Lynx barbecue and outdoor furniture. Location is a short walk to town. We did mountain biking with trails right off the end of street. Great palce!

Family reunion
Lots of space for our family reunion. Well stocked kitchen. Management was very responsive to some minor issues that arose. Great noise reduction from traffuc and neighbors.

Didn't meet expectations
The property was not well maintained specifically the exterior. There were numerous broken trees on the property. None of the exterior furniture had been cleaned. The ping pong table was covered with dust and dirt. There was insulation all over the property from birds who had pecked a hole in the wall. The patio had not been swept and there were piles of pine needles and debris. The interior was considerably better than the exterior.

Ski Vacation
House was very nice for our group with a bathroom on each bedroom level, giving everyone privacy. Beds comfortable, kitchen very well stocked... unfortunately the range venting mechanism did not work and the rental tech could not fix it, that was tough because the grill shown on the website pictures was snowed in and unreachable. We could see another grill in the garage, but they also said we could not access the garage after originally giving us a garage code. When the tech came he said they would roll out the grill for us to use, so that helped out a great deal. The pictures on the website made the backyard seem much more useable and the outdoor kitchen area was something we were looking forward to using.... but the entire area by the grill had not been shoveled and there was no outdoor ping pong table which would've been nice since the weather was so warm. The location though is super for skiing and getting into town. Overall we had a great time with our group. Thanks!

Great home close to the lake
We had a great stay at the holly hideaway. The house was roomy and clean and came stocked with most necessities. Only one bunk bed was present unlike the picture showing two. Additionally we did not have access to the garage as stated in the description. We also needed to purchase soap and shampoo as the amount given was minimal and not adequate. Overall it was a great stay and very nice property.

Beautiful, comfortable home
The property more than met expectations set by the listing. Rooms are well laid out and appointed. Finishes are all high-quality. Neighborhood was quiet and scenic and conveniently located for skiing at Palisades.

Great house for 50th bday celebration!
Perfect home for nine of us to ring in my 50th birthday. Cooked a birthday meal with ease as they had all the equipment. Very responsive before our trip and during (we had a blackout but there were tons of flashlights and batteries).
Hot tub was nice, location to hiking was good, all in all it was great!
