The property was excellent. I was upgraded for free to an ocean view.
Everything you need on a vacation was in the room and nothing was to much trouble for Vito and his staff.
Vito even took my grandson snorkelling and arranged trips at a very competitive price.
Breakfast was good, all the staff were amazing. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back
Having to leave 🤣

Staying in casa vito was amazing. Vito and his staff were so nice, helpfull and gave us a lot of tips to visit restaurants, nice places etc. The breakfast was really tastfull and the kingsize bedroom was really comfy. Walking around in the garden was also very interesting because of all the nice little animals (green frogs, lizards) but we also enjoyed seeing monkeys and a sloth. Best stay in Costa Rica if you ask us.
Waking up by howling monkeys... 😉. No just kiddin'. We woke up early but this reason is the best reason in our opinion. Absolutely nothing to complain about!

What a beautiful place! Hotel casa Vito is right by the most stunning beach and you wake up to the sound of monkeys and waves in the morning! The rooms are simple but clean with great aircon, coffee machine, fridge and unlimited drinking water. The staff are the most lovely, generous and helpful people! It’s been a real pleasure staying here and I would recommend everyone checking out this beautiful hotel!
We loved our stay here, can’t think of any negatives!

Great location and staff was very helpful and friendly.
Everything was great.

Friendly staff. Has a beach front and you can go right out to swim. It felt wonderful!
A long list on a paper in the room stating things you are not allowed to do, this was new to me, i've never seen so many rules stated on a paper. One thing that i got confused about was that you have to pay for a dirty towel. Is the guest not allowed to use the towels? A towel will get dirty when using it.

Property is right on the beach, there are hammocks, a volleyball court, laundry services and breakfast are available separately. Very quiet and relaxing. The room was spacious and very clean. Owners are friendly and extremely helpful. Plenty of flora and fauna as well as the resident cats and dog.

We moved to Hotel Casa Vito after staying one night at another cabiña farther from town without A/C. Hotel Casa Vito exceded our expectations and is in a great location.
The staff was incredibly friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable about the area. Vito gave restaurant recommendations and arranged a tour to Punta Uva for my daughters and me. The staff was always available and checked in on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Responses to inquiries through the chat feature of Booking.com, email, and WhatsApp were very quick and the staff all spoke English and Spanish.
The hotel is right next to a great area on the beach with safe swimming, and the hotel offered bamboo mats and towels for us to take down there. There were also spots at the hotel to rinse the sand from your feet and take a warm shower before returning to your room.
The room was clean and exactly as described with wonderful air conditioning. Breakfast was a great value with hearty portions of a few options, and it was delicious. Their rice and beans were the best I've had in Costa Rica so far. If we return to Puerto Viejo, we'll definitely be staying at Hotel Casa Vito again.
I can't think of anything we didn't like.

Excellent service by Vito and his staff. I strongly recommend you take advantage of Yoshi's home made breakfast every morning. No hassle and surely the best deal in town for just 8$/person - we chose something different everyday including customized freshly blended juices.
The accommodations are great - spacious rooms and comfy beds. Our ocean view rooms had hammocks and swing chairs right outside our doors. The location is just perfect - the sound of the ocean is wonderful, waterfront is swimmable too - even for small children.
Casa Vito is just a short walk to town (quiet yet still perfect walking distance to the activity) with many great restaurants and shops along the way. Puerto Viejo has a great Caribbean vibe and energy too.
Vito also provided many excellent recommendations for dining/excursions - his food recommendations were fantastic and he helped arrange our excursions at a much better than advertised price.
Everything was above and beyond our expectations. I would recommend atleast staying 1-2 weeks to be able to visit the areas many treasures. 4 nights isn't enough.

We received a very warm welcome from Vito and felt at home from day one. You can feel that the well-being of his guests is very important to him. He always took his time with questions and gave us good tips for Puerto Viejo. The staff was also always very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well equipped (incl. water dispenser), we were able to cook for ourselves every day. You even get free mats & beach towels. The location of the hotel is perfect. It was always quiet and offers a lot of relaxation. If you want more action, you can easily walk to the center and the nearest beach in 10 minutes. We booked for 3 nights and ended up staying a week. Therefore we can definitely recommend Casa Vito!
Nothing - We would have liked to stay longer :)

What an amazing staff and host 😊 so friendly and accommodating. We had very good breakfast with coffee available all day. nice big rooms. especially the one by the beach is good. LOTS of animals in the garden during our ten day stay. sloths, frogs, monkeys, iguana, hummingbirds, eagles, parrots etc. great location. quite but still close to everything. Must be hard to find better accommodations in Puerto Vijeo.
the place is better than the pictures.

I recommend the hotel for singles, couples and it also has family rooms. It is quiet, the sea is 10 meters away, between the sea and the hotel is some jungle. Very friendly host, everything was perfect. If you want breakfast, you can get it additionally for 8 dollars, otherwise it has enough other options. The Italian right next door offers very good food. Hammocks are in front of the two rooms facing the sea. Not all rooms are so perfect as these, because of this.

Situated on a small, private beach with a reef that creates a little "swimming pool", under a canopy of beautiful trees that is home to sloths, monkeys & iguanas with close proximity to two other popular beaches (Puerto Viejo and Cocles) less than a 10 min. walk along a well-maintained trail that runs parallel to the sea. The rooms are big, clean, comfortable & safe. Loads of restaurants, bars, shops & markets within a 2-10 minute walk but you are away from the noise and busy part of town. Big deck for eating/hanging out/taking in the views! Best of all is the caring, wonderful staff and owner, Vito, who treat you like family, making sure your every need is attended to with a smile and real graciousness. Yoshi is like a dear friend you haven't seen in a long while, who is so kind, so incredibly helpful and wonderful to share time with. Leonardo/Rasta is an omnipresent help and good vibe, taking such good care of all the guests. The kitchen staff makes a great breakfast and offers up excellent coffee all day long. Together with an engaged and super caring owner (Vito), the staff really makes this place special. Miss it all!
Loved everything.

The staff were very friendly and helpful! They made a great effort to help me celebrate my husband’s birthday! They bought a cake, balloons, candles and decorated our room before we came back from tour. Vito was very generous and easygoing. He made us feel like at home.
The TV and AC were not working properly. No hot water to shower or wash.

Everything!
Hosts were the best we have met in all of our years of travel. They made sure we were comfortable, well fed and were passionate about guest satisfaction. Truly incredible.
Location was fantastic, the back garden led onto natural swimming pools created by the sea. It’s a small stroll to Colches beach via the same path or the town centre in the other direction.
Breakfast was amazing, large portions of fresh food that varied everyday. Delicious and filling, we found ourselves not having to eat again until dinner.
The room we had was spacious and comfortable, they cleaned our room regularly and always made sure to ask. They also did laundry for us which was super helpful!
10/10 will be back, we didn’t want to leave!

Super location, looking out onto jungle and the ocean beyond. Quiet location, a short walk from town but with a restaurant nearby. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
Nothing we didn’t like.
