I loved the open living room with lots of seating.
The driveway was icy and hard to navigate. There is a lot of room in this house for people but only one bathroom.

We brought our own food. Kitchen was well-equipped.
We could not get into the house using the code written in the email. We were told we could enter early so the code was not activated yet. We called VACASA and they tried to give us a new code but that one did not work. Finally we asked for the key in the lock box. This process took about 40 minutes. So we were not happy about this but once we got into the house it was lovely.

Plenty of soft, clean towels, clean rooms.
Leaking sink and refrigerator, bulbs needed replacing, needed a pass from the proprietor for the landfill. Lawn chairs broken.

living area was ok
the kitchen was filthy. pots and pans had not been cleaned. would not feed a
family with the kitchen utensils. had to was everything. food encrusted pot holders. rusted knives. frying pans were greasy. kitchen light did not work. only one roll of toilet paper. would have left if we could have.

The house decor is exceptional. We enjoyed our stay at the Hunters Cabin house.
The address is hard to find. But guess that's not the issue with property. The road names in that area are too confusing for Google or GPS. We were well informed about this before our arrival but still had hard time to locate it. May be if exact coordinates are provided probably might have helped.

I loved the location, the home layout was very nice, there were NO BUGS in the house, no weird musty odors and after a few days I really felt like I was home. The bed was comfy & there were lots of clean towels 🙂
I would like to preface this with, “it’s the little things that matter” and I would stay here again but there were many flaws upon arrival that I feel would be an easy fix especially for the money spent to stay there. The American Flag that marks the driveway was all ripped up & faded which was our first impression upon arrival. Once we parked, we were greeted by a filthy grill & utensils on the deck as well as dirty grease pan left underneath. (I’m surprised it didn’t attract animals) I was beginning to regret my booking and afraid I was going to be staying in a dump. A dirt filled vacuum cleaner, a wet kitchen floor from the fridge leaking, food scraps in the sink & left over coffee in the coffee pot were my first impressions of the cabin. There was food left in the freezer as well as 1/4 filled ice trays. There were candy wrappers in the candy dish, something yucky spilled on the pages in the welcome binder following the COVID cleaning protocol sheet. The toilet paper falls off the holder which became annoying, the shower liner was DISGUSTING, & the extra linens were just thrown in a closet wadded up and not folded nicely. Lastly, the hamper in the bathroom had dirty linens left in it and the DVD player didn’t work so don’t bring your own movies haha. Overall, these are little things that can be overlooked and we very much so enjoyed our stay, I just think someone needs to be made aware of these things. My husband and I replaced the old flag with a new one and the shower liner as well.
