If you enjoy being physically active there are countless hiking trails and an extensive biking trail called The Downeast Sunrise Trail. There are plenty of places to kayak as well. Grab a bottle of local blueberry wine or coastal white to go with that meal at nearby Barlett Winery.
Milbridge features a local summer concert series in town on Friday nights and don’t miss Incredible Edible Milbridge and the free organic community gardens. This little town has some big spirit!
*New in 2022, a Ring doorbell is installed which shows ONLY the driveway/approach to front door. It does not show the back deck or anything inside the home. Primarily installed for off season security.

Pine scented and ocean kissed is the best rental we have ever stayed in!! It was everything plus more! Amanda and Mark have thought of everything you could ever need or want. The house is impeccable, fully stocked, and has gorgeous views, a fun beach with exciting tidal pools, an awesome fire pit, and a great quiet location. Amanda provided wonderful recommendations for hikes, restaurants and a boat tour. We loved Chipman's Wharf, the Knotty Lobster, and breakfast at the Milbridge House Restaurant all in Milbridge. We had the most amazing 5 hour private boat tour with Captain Jamie from Roberterson's Sea Adventures filled with over 100 seals, peregrin falcons, 3 lighthouses, and many other birds. Acadia was phenomenal, especially Raven's Nest, Otters Point, and Cadillac Mt. We can't thank Amanda and Mark enough for sharing their wonderful home and providing such great advice on things to do. We will definitely be back!

We can't say enough about Amanda and family's lovely, lovely home. Everything is totally ready for guests--a fully stocked kitchen, an unmatched view, beautifully decorated home and a beautiful area close to lots of hiking, delicious seafood and DownEast adventures! We can't wait to go back!

Amanda and her family have created an absolute haven on the ocean! We have rented several times on VRBO and have never seen a home so thoughtfully equipped for vacationers. The kitchen has so many tools and pans for cooking and baking, and the sturdy folding chairs for campfire times were really appreciated. The location is stunning and the house is beautifully appointed. We can't wait to go back!

We've stayed in many rental homes and this is by far our favorite! The location in the woods, yet on the coast is perfection. We love being away from the "hubub". The home is clean and comfortable and is equipped with everything you can possibly need. We hiked the woods, fished off the rocks, enjoyed a lobster tour, drove Schoodic Point, went foraged for mushrooms and of course enjoyed all the seafood Maine is famous for! Our host Amanda was a pleasure to work with. I hope one day to have the opportunity to return to this lovely home.

This property is nothing short of spectacular. This is our second stay in two years and we’ll be coming back again in 2025.
The coast of Maine is such a joy to visit, with all of the cozy, local family owned restaurants, all of the local shopping, and all of the local characters.
This property is exceptional. The location of the property, the cleanliness of the property and all of the significant amenities make this the most peaceful and amazing stay in any VRBO we’ve been at. My 99-year-old mother loves this property. It was her second stay.
Amanda‘s response to any concern is immediate and she always resolves the issue with professionalism and care.
I would recommend this property to anyone who enjoys privacy, sitting on a deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and hearing the waves crash off the rocks. This truly is a slice of heaven.

Aside from the incredible location/view/beach this was the best provisioned house we’ve ever stayed at…from instructions, to local recommendations, to supplies the owners thought of everything.

We loved our stay here so much last year that we decided to return. The deck with its view is so peaceful. It’s only enhanced by the sound of the water. Having your own piece of the rocky coast with its tide pools is such a treat. The house itself looks like it should be on an HGTV show. It’s so tastefully decorated and welcoming. Everything you need is provided -from cookware, to games, spices and even a fondue pot. The hosts are incredible and it’s evident they enjoy sharing their home and making sure their guests have an incredible experience. If you are looking to visit Maine- you’ll definitely want to make this your home base.

The house was as pictured with all the amenities supplied. The area was quaint and rural, off the beaten path with sights and events an hour or so away. Downtown Milbridge had whatever we needed. The views from the house and deck were a postcard picture. The house was clean and comfortable. The host responded quickly to any question. We would recommend a stay at this property.

I've been looking for the perfect Maine vacation home. The ragged coast line, on the ocean, etc. This year, i found it. Close enough to Schoodic and Acadia, yet far away from the noise of tourists. The house is stunningly designed to take advantage of the beautiful coast. There was nothing missing, right down to the Welcome sign in the master bedroom. Thank you for a beautiful week in the place that truly rejuvenates the soul.

We loved our stay. It has all the conveniences of ac, laundry, etc with a beautiful view. The kids enjoy so much time exploring the rocky coast. While I did do a quick swim (I’m a strong swimmer) I would not recommend it if are looking to spend a lot of time swimming. The rocky coast, plus the waves make entry and exit quite a feat.
Overall, and beautiful and joyful experience.

Amanda has been the easiest most organized person to work with! The home was breath taking and so warm and welcoming! Everything you needed was included all the way down to the pot and directions needed to steam the lobsters! Everything was clean and well organized! Every place we visited was about an hour from the house. Loved being secluded and private! Yet still close to a small town with all the essentails! The tide pools were a huge hit for our kids! And the view of our own little Acadia was perfect! Since posting pics on Facebook of our vacation I have had 3 friends asking for the VRBO listing! Thanks again to Amanda and her family for sharing their home with us!

My family agreed this was going to be a hard stay to beat. The house was spotless and the décor was amazing. The whole house gave you the coastal feeling. We loved exploring the coast and the tidal pools during low tide. We also loved utilizing the fire ring several nights!
The Host was excellent in communicating before, during, and after the stay. She left a binder full of wonderful suggestions on places to go and places to eat!
The location was perfect for us. We loved Milbridge. It was close enough to make day trips to everywhere we wanted, but away from the hustle and bustle.
If you are thinking of booking, I would say definitely go for it and you won’t be disappointed! We would gladly go back!

This is the nicest home we have rented. The owners have thought of every detail. From skewers for roasting marshmallows to plastic wine glasses for outside, it’s all there! I am picky about cleanliness and this house was perfect.
We enjoyed spending time at the rocky shoreline directly in front of the house. We made some day trips to Acadia, Quoddy State Park, and Pigeon Hill as well. The kids loved the bedrooms and the small touches that were all throughout the house.
Everything is nice and high quality, the furniture, towels, etc. There was a comprehensive guest folder with suggested activities and great tips in the guest book as well.
My daughter prefers a more “action packed” trip so the 70 minute trip to Bar Harbor helped with that.
If you want a quiet, relaxing trip in downeast Maine, this is the spot!

An outstanding experience from start to finish. The homeowner (Amanda) is EXCEPTIONAL in communicating details regarding ANY aspect of the trip, prior to, during and even after the stay. Her enthusiasm and positive can-do attitude are phenomenal. She will get our business repeatedly in the future. The pics don't do the home and property justice. You've simply got to stay there to soak in all of the amazing sights, sounds and smells of this part of Maine. Simply an amazing experience.

We loved our stay at Pine Scented and Ocean Kissed! Beautiful, clean home. Our girls loved going out on the rocks and searching in the tidal pools. Beautiful view of the ocean! So relaxing. Amanda was wonderful- quick responses to questions and provided us with ideas of things to do and see. Definitely recommend this vacation home to anyone looking for a wonderful time in Maine! Erin M.

My wife and our five kids had a great time at this property. The kids loved playing on the rocks with a picturesque view of the ocean. The moon on the water was magical every night out on the back deck. The house had a lot of great games for the kids and was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. We would come back for sure and we can be pretty picky.

What an amazing place! From the charming decor to the beautiful views from the deck, this home created such a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. We felt “at home” and were able to both rest and relax. There were many tide pool treasures to be found during low tide. I’ve been searching for starfish the past three trips to Maine- and was so excited to find one on the property on only our second day. At high tide we enjoyed the beautiful view from the rocks. At night, we sat on the deck and were awed by the night sky completely FULL of stars. We were able to see Jupiter and the Milky Way just with the naked eye (although there was a nice telescope to use). Looking at that sky with the sound of the waves in the background is a memory I will not soon forget. The house itself is spectacular. As people have mentioned in previous reviews- they have provided everything you could need and the furniture is super comfy. We had many great day trips- but inevitably, we just wanted to go back and enjoy the house each day. Thank you Mark and Amanda for sharing your home with us. We definitely left (albeit a bit sad) feeling incredibly refreshed.

WOW! This place was absolutely the nicest place we've ever stayed! It was spotless, neat and beautiful! Amanda(I'm assuming) has the cutest nautical decor. They had everything you could possibly need in the house. The kitchen is huge! We enjoyed cooking several meals throughout the week. It's very close to the grocery store, Bayside Shop and Save. The deck is super nice! We spent many mornings and several evenings there just looking out and listening to the ocean. The picnic table is huge and we used it a lot. The grill is very nice. We four senior citizens were very satisfied! The fire pit was a little difficult for me to get to, but it was so much fun to roast marshmallows and make s-mores. I wasn't able to get down to the beach because I was healing a sprained foot. The other 3 in my group went down almost daily, if not twice a day, to look for sea glass. We traveled to other cities every day to do different things. It takes almost an hour to get to most places, but it's worth it! Acadia National Park is gorgeous. Cadillac Mountain is a must see. My husband and I had never been to Maine, but our friends had and wanted to go back. Other than the sulfur water that smells and tastes really bad to us, this is the perfect house. Amanda, made our vacation one of the best we have ever been on. We are two couples who have known each other for over 40 years. We are all retired now and enjoy traveling together. If you ever travel to Maine and plan on staying in his area you need to rent Pine Scented and Ocean Kissed from Amanda and Mark.

We loved every minute of our stay at this beautiful house. We ran right out to the beach as soon as we got there and only left when the weather wasn’t perfect. The kitchen and bedrooms were exactly right for our family and we all slept so well! We used the chairs at the fire pit and all the other extras Amanda has at the house are amazing. You need only your clothes! We will definitely be back!

Our family enjoyed an absolutely amazing week in this house. The sunrise views and sound of ocean waves at night are things we will never forget. We enjoyed exploring the rocky beach and just taking in all of the sights and sounds of this beautiful Maine coastline. The house itself was very clean and included so many thoughtful additions like beach chairs and binoculars. The main living area was a great space for relaxing and playing board games as a family. The proximity to Chipman’s Wharf was a plus as we visited multiple times for fresh seafood. The owner responded quickly to any questions that we had. Overall, a great place to stay.

First and foremost… I don’t believe I’ve ever had a VRBO exceed my expectations- until now. Amanda’s home (and Amanda herself) were the ultimate in kindness and hospitality…my family and I felt welcomed and comfortable from the very start- truly home away from home. The home was spotless, beautiful, stocked with every little thing one could possibly need (from beach chairs to paper cups to bleach to bug spray to extra coffee pods, etc). The beds and furniture were so cozy and comfortable and the air conditioners did a wonderful job of cooling the place off during what might have been the hottest week of the summer. The view from the porch (and from the bedroom windows) was just stunning, and falling asleep and waking up to the sound of waves on rocks is now permanently in my heart. I actually kind of think we may all be ruined for any future vacations anywhere else- thanks a lot Amanda! 😘. We packed so much into our trip but never felt rushed or crazed- we took a puffin cruise, toured Acadia, hiked a bit, swam in the beautifully refreshing ocean, ate blueberry ice cream and buttery lobster, caught wild mussels for dinner, hunted for tide pool treasures, explored Bar Harbor, and sat and read and relaxed. The house is in a perfect spot for enjoying the ocean- during high tide you can swim (bring water shoes!) and during low tide you can explore. Amanda took the time to write to recommend some wonderful spots to try, and they were perfect. After a couple of crazy pandemic years (I teach elementary school), and with kiddos growing up and away with breathtaking speed (we have 12 year old twins and a 15 yo), this week was exactly what I needed to reconnect and recharge. My heart is full and so very grateful. Thank you, Amanda. 💓

Outstanding Ocean Getaway
I cannot say enough about the charm of this beach house or the beauty of the location. Fell asleep to the sound of waves crashing and woke up to amazing sunrises. We spent several days without leaving the property - explored the shoreline tidepools, cooked up fresh seafood and enjoyed the firepit at night. I think these may have been my 11 and 14 year old's favorite days! We avoided the crowds in Bar Harbor and spent more time in smaller surrounding towns like Eastport and visiting local farms. We are avid hikers and enjoy kayaking, so spent some time in Acadia which was gorgeous.

Beautiful location and property
We had a great and relaxing time at this property. Everything was absolutely perfect. The home was clean and nicely decorated and the owners provided everything that you could need. The views were amazing! I would definitely recommend staying at this home. The owner Amanda was great too!

Secluded vacation spot.
Everything we needed was supplied, with exception of personal bathroom things of course. There was even binoculars there to checkout the boats in the bay. Didn't need to pack those. Took clothes wash tabs and there was even some of that there too. This place looks brand new too! It's there well keeped also. I guess the only thing I can think of negative is the driveway leading back is a little rough if you are driving a sedan. We were in a rental Camry and had to really watch out for big rocks. We clipped 1 or 2, and made me a bit concerned. Other than that this is a great property to rent for a secluded get away. And the seafood place is like 2.5 miles away, to retrieve lobsters from!!

4 of us stayed here. My husband and i and another couple. It was perfect
The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Very secluded which we liked. The views of the ocean were stunning and just a nice amount of pines sorrounding. Check in was so easy and the property owner very easy to contact and talk to. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet relaxation
This is the first time we have stayed this far north as we are used to midcoast (Boothbay/Pemaquid). We loved the quiet and less populated area but still having the conveniences of a grocery store and coffee. We enjoyed our stay at Pine scented and Ocean Kissed. It was comfortable and clean and well appointed. The location is great if you like a rocky beach and the sound of ocean waves! We miss getting up early and watching the sun rise and just staring at the water.

Sunrise beauty!
Beautiful, home, tastefully decorated but most important- right on the ocean!
It was beautiful to see the sunrise and lobster boats right outside every morning.
Tide pools, rocks to climb and fire pit made this an exciting home to stay in!
We visited Acadia, & Schoodic Peninsula (close by), visited other sights as well but us & the kids truly enjoyed the rocks out back!
We visited Chipmans Wharf right down the street a few times (such kind, knowledgeable people- great with the kids!) and picked up seafood- which was really good!
Would recommend this home to anyone!

Wonderful week along the Maine coast!
What a beautiful house to call our own this week! Right on the bay! Sat on the deck and enjoyed the sounds of the tide rising and falling - doesn’t get any better! And the house was beautiful, well appointed, and our hosts thought of everything! A perfect quiet week away from the crowds of Acadia and Bar Harbor, but still close enough to make a couple of day trips if you choose. And the little town of Milbridge had everything we might need. And Chapman’s Wharf with its fresh seafood just a mile
Or so down the road was the “icing on the cake”! Would recommend this spot to anyone wanting to explore Down East Maine! ❤️

Portland to Lubec
We had a great time in Maine. We traveled up the coast on Highway 1 from Portland to Lubec and loved all the ports, boats, lobsters and people in between. We bought Maine salt, a ships bell, whoppie pies, Baxter beer, tea and even shipped some lobsters home.
The house was perfect. Close to the water for a great view and breeze. The parking area behind the house was very accommodating. We hunted for sea glass on the shore as the lobster boats pulled their traps. We had fires in the fire ring on the shore where we roasted hot dogs and made s’mores.
The only thing missing was more vacation time. The Maine weather was a great relief from South Carolina weather.
We’ll be back.

Great Family Vacation Spot!
My family and I spent a wonderful week at Amanda’s house. The house itself is very well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen and plenty of space to spread out. The location is great with lots of beautiful day hikes nearby and a truly gorgeous coast right out front to explore.

Favorite VRBO ever
I really can't say enough good things. If you're considering this property, BOOK IT. The layout was perfect for our family of four (our boys are 10 & 12) and there was plenty of space in the common areas. The house is tastefully and lovingly decorated, and comes well-stocked with everything you might need. We especially appreciated the cooler since we flew carry on only. Milbridge is a cute little town and was a great home base. It is a bit of a drive to some of the sights in the area but we're used to vacations like that. I would advise future guests to pay close attention to hours and days of operation--I refuse to cook dinner on vacation and quickly realized I needed to plan our dinners out well in advance to ensure we wouldn't show up on a day the business was closed. Same goes for some of the local shops. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat, and Amanda was a great host.

Great property!
We loved our stay! The house had everything you could want, most things brand new! Way bigger than it looked in the pictures. We visited Acadia multiple times and a couple hikes locally. The people at chipmans warf could not have been nicer, even taking the time to show us around and teach our kids about the lobsters. Also, my wife loved the decor!!!
Was an awesome week!

Coastal Maine at its best!
Our families had an awesome stay! A great house that was so well equipped for everything! We so enjoyed the sounds of the ocean by having it at our doorstep. The deck and the double doors in each room allow you to enjoy the outside from within! The kids played in the tidal pool in front for hours. We had lobsters and shellfish nightly from Chipman’s Wharf just down the road and blueberries from Lynch Hill Farms in Harrington. Thanks Amanda for sharing your home with us!

heavenly!
Love the area, and having favorite seafood provider Chipman's just down the road a couple miles! Shop and Save in Milbridge 5 miles away, but prefer the Shop and Save in Columbia a bit further away (better stock). Hardware next to it as well with nice garden shop.
House was perfectly set up with everything on one single floor, though had a huge empty basement and upper level not used. Very clean with a large kitchen, nice laundry room. Loved the very big deck, spent many a nice happy hour out there with a glass of wine and listening to the waves.
This is a brand new house, that the owners are still setting up a bit. Did mention to owner about no storage in any of the bedrooms, but used the walk in closet to make do. Also no towel bars in the bathroom, but made do with that as well, no big deal. She may change things later. Another thing I also mentioned was lack of a teapot. So what does she do? The sweetheart sends me a brand new teapot and high end fancy tea. :-)
We saw whales and seals, and enjoyed the many birds in the area, including eagles and songbirds. Loved our time here, felt like home!

This property eclipsed all of our expectations! First off, the pictures don't do it justice. The pictures look great, but in person the space is incredible. We had a family of 5 that fit incredibly comfortably in this house with room to spare. The living room, dining room and tv area is one incredible space. We spent most of our time looking out the great picture window onto the coast. The kitchen was extremely large and functional with all of the necessary accessories. We spent most nights cooking a fantastic dinner in the kitchen or on the outdoor grill. The uniqueness of the house is the location. the coast is a quick 30 foot walk from the deck and is really unbelievable. We had three boys that spent hours everyday on this rocky coast. It provided huge boulders for climbing and a low and high tide for exploring sea life. The property also offers a fantastic fire pit right on the coast with a fantastic view of the water and the rising moon. We spent almost every night around the fire pit. Lastly, we found the location perfect for many day trips. We traveled often to Acadia, Bar Harbor and even traveled down to Stonington harbor. Acadia is a mere 50 minutes and we went up to the Canadian border town of Lubec, about an hour or so. We had our best lunch at the Inn at the Wharf there. This house seems to be right in the middle of all the best spots. Overall, this was our favorite houses over the past 5 years. It really provides the best Maine Experience we have had.
