Like staying in an abandoned building

The rooms are large and there is a light, power socket, and big locker for every bed. There were also fans so I wasn't hot. The location is great, just across the road from the beach.

I was honestly worried about my safety there. I felt like I was staying in an abandoned building. The whole place was completely empty, there were no other guests and no staff around either 99% of the time. Every so often I would hear men's voices or the shower running but never saw anyone. There were cans of beer in the trash can in the morning but I'm not sure who they belonged to as there were no other guests I saw. Two long hallways made up of dark, empty rooms. The main door to the street is open 24/7 and there's no one in reception or any security so anyone could just walk in from the street. The lock on the door of my room was broken. There were lots of mosquitoes but no mosquito nets. Everything was a little dirty. Showers were communal/open (like in a gym or swimming pool) but the door to the women's bathroom didn't lock, so I had to shower in my bikini in case anyone walked in. It really felt like the place was just abandoned and it was creepy and unsafe.

Nothing to like, its worst in every way possible …

Smelly Beds, all rooms roof gaps so smoking everywhere. Worst of all are the toilets .. Like the toilets are cleaned 10 months ago. Best place for animals.

Very good

Huge facilities, nice beds, plug and light next to it, powerful fan, friendly staff. Location is nice if you want to be in Mirissa, even Jungle Beach is reachable from there by walk, but not local restaurants around, only touristic fancy places.

Wifi didn’t work well. Showers are communal.

The kindness of the staff

1. The toilet was full of mosquitoes -I think is because they are attracted by light and there are many unnecessary lights on, so too many mosquitoes, couldnt go to the toilet without feeling deeply uncomfortable. 2. Also some equipment like the wood from the beds was I believe too wet and old so it is easy for the bugs to leave their eggs inside 3. I did miss a mosquito net at night

They assume they were not ready to open and didn't charge us.

To be honest, we didnt sleep in this hostel because it was DIRTY. They just deserve a bad comment because they allowed us to book on booking.com before they were even ready to open. The dorms, bathroom and reception were not ready at all. The floor was dirty with mud and water, the dorm was smelly and dirty as well. They shouldn't allow us to book if they were not ready.

Super nice place to stay. Walking distence to famous Mirissa beach. All the dorms have AC which is brilliant and and the mattresses are thick and comfortable . Extremly friendly and helpful staff. Totaly recommend.!!!!

Check and make sure you want to go there before booking

I said i not going to stay there and they undestud and gave me my money back.

The place is concred in a Grand under a the hotel there is a damp and fungle So Hot helthy invarment. Another think is you have to pay extra to have Wi-Fi in the room there is no mobile Network reception Also you can only Get in and out till 9:30 pm after that the door are loked and there is no entry. There some workers living in. The kitchen is not finished so you cant use it.

Actually I didn't like anything except comfy bed and location is ok. I was there alone, I had a private hostel. This is a hostel for ghosts. Rooms are smelling and unfresh. When you come in to the room there is fungus smelt as crazy and then when you turn on the light you will see plams on the wall. Kitchen isn't open for guests, no trush bin anywhere even in the toilet, showers are in open space so if you are shy won't take a shower, no hot water. And the best things is NO PHONE SIGNAL IN THE ROOM, like in basement and they close main door AFTER 10 p.m. so reception will ask you what time you will be back, really?????????????? Ehhhh just choose different place...
