Beautiful location, short walk to the centre of Sorrento.
Garden and pool area was beautiful. Snack bar at pool was great
Clean and spacious room. Silent rooms. Lovely air conditioned and shutters. Clean room everyday.
Easy to find. Lovely breakfast
Smoking around the pool was not nice for non smokers but only happened once.

Great hotel, breakfast was great and room was clean and tidy. We spent a lot of time by the pool area and bar staff by the pool were very helpful catering for our needs. Sone great restaurants nearby for dinner. Very pleasant experience

Lovely hotel and staff, really enjoyed our stay. Great breakfast and pool area, and comfortable beds. About a 20 minute walk into town.
4.5
The hotel was in a great location with just a 10 minute walk into the centre of sorrento. The walk is just one long road, so easy access and easy to navigate. As a solo traveller, I was nervous about being on my own but the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The property is dated but I did feel like it added to the ‘Italian feel’ and felt traditional. The pool area is lovely and a great size for the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay at Hotel Girasole, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay. We had the breakfast package and it was a huge spread all of which was tasty! The pool was quiet and clean and had lovely views across the mountains. We were visiting sorrento for a wedding and it was a perfect distance from the venue for us and 20 minute walk into town.
The room itself was perfect for us plenty of room, the shower door was slightly stiff so could do with checking as I would hate for someone to try slide it and it smash.

The breakfast was good. The staff was Nice, and the pool area was very good.
The rooms were not the best. It was ants and bed bugs there. We got bitten by bed bugs. The bed were a bit hard to sleep on.

The pool was lovely. The breakfast was nice!
Our hotel room was very small. We had an extremely small bathroom. Barely enough room to dry yourself.
4.5
The location was perfect, away from the centre of Sorrento but only 10-15 minutes walk. We had sea/garden view rooms which were quiet and had lovely views from the balconies. Friendly welcoming staff. A useful fridge for daytime snacks and drinks. Breakfast was great - lots of choice and all fresh. We were only on B&B so didn’t eat in the evening. The pool was lovely and clean and plenty of Sun loungers. We would definitely recommend and would look to stay again if in the area.
Walking on the main road into Sorrento was very busy with traffic and fumes from mopeds at certain times. But this is Italy. It seems to be like that.
4.5
Great hotel - located on the main long road that goes straight from the city centre to the outside of the town, it is a bit of a walk after coming from the city centre but it is a nice flat road and good for a post dinner walk back! The hotel itself is nice, decent size. It is a little bit dated in terms of decor but it has a lovely family run vibe to it with lots of history. Room came with a lovely balcony where you can sit and admire the water. Breakfast options were extensive, with a lovely outdoor courtyard for having breakfast under the lemon trees. Pool area was good, lots of loungers and a very nice pool.
Only comment for people visiting - not a negative to the hotel itself - the snack bar at the pool doesn't have a lot of lunch options and is fairly basic the things they do - so plan ahead for that

Pool area great, Family run, they were superb. we were to far out of Sorrento 15/20 walk and it was hot, taxi to the square €20.
Dated rooms

Breakfast very good and they even packed one for us on our last morning as we were missing it. Good location too. Pool area very nice too and lots of loungers.

Great pool, lovely staff and a lovely cafe poolside for drinks and food.
Toilet smell was quite bad throughout our stay.

Pool area was very nice

Hotel is very well placed and on main road. Port is about 12 to 15 mins walking. St Angelo railway station is about 7 to 10 mins walking. Sorrento main railway station is about 10 mins walikng. And one can find many shopping as well as eating options nearby.
Property also have swimming pool, although we did not find time to use this.
They also have nice sit out area for dining.
They must include some vegetarian and vegan option for breakfast. Being a vegetarian there was nothing for us except fruits, cereals, milk, coffee.

Nice hotel.
Very good staff - friendly, helpful, very good attitude, welcoming.
Good breakfast.
Nice pool area.
Over all well managed and a very positive experience for us as customers.
The room I had was at the front of the hotel and was quite noisy at night as you could hear the traffic passing by on the main road to and from Sorrento town centre.

View from back balcony was exceptional, worth the extra money and the highlight for us. The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was very good as was their evening meal, available for an extra cost. Our room was very dated and dark, but some rooms are more recently renovated. The gardens and the pool were lovely. The hotel guests were also friendly. Happy to have spent 5 nights at this friendly place, which is very central for exploring the Amalfi coast.

Nice hotel, excellent breakfast. Easy to find on main Sorrento street, Good value. Wife & I spent 4 nights here using this hotel as our base to see Paestum, Ercolano Scavi, and Naples, as well as Sorrento. Very pleased with the hotel.

Not much to be honest.
An old hotel in need of renovation.
2.5
the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the pool area was good to have
it was 25mins walk ( not a pleasant one ) into Sorrento
no real decent restaurants or bars nearby
the room and hotel in general really need updating

The staff at Hotel Girasole were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The garden as the Hotel is gorgeous, with fruit trees, lots of outside seating and a great pool. It is walkable to town - it takes about 10/15 minutes to the centre. I was a bit worried about the walk as I saw from other reviews that part of the walk doesn't have a pavement, but it's only like that for not long at all. We walked into town every day.

The pool was fantastic! lots of loungers. Staff friendly and location was ideal just a short walk to the centre
the balcony size was small- this could be as we had a corner room but the view was beautiful. The bathroom shower is quite shocking. really needed replaced (shower head and curtain)

fabulous breakfast and lovely pool
our room was a bit noisy and damp. had some plumbing issues which were resolved immediately.

A good location (short walk into Sorrento) and amazing views of the sea and Vesuvius from our balcony. The pool is lovely and most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We arrived in the rain and they let us get changed in the room before coming back down to check in properly.
Breakfast was ok but the food in the restaurant on the evening was terrible - you could literally taste the microwave. Most of the staff were really lovely but we got told off by one of the waiter’s at breakfast for using a fork from an empty table. The walls of the first room we were in were paper thin - we could hear all the sordid details from the neighbouring room until the early hours. But when we raised this with the staff they moved us to a different room immediately, which we really appreciated (although walls were still thin in the new room and there was some damp marks on the ceiling).

Pool was lovely loads of deck chairs, friendly staff always welcomed with a smile. Breakfast was nice.
Good location about 10 minutes from centre.
3.5
1.The balcony and ocean/ Mt. Vesuvio views.
2. The staff was extremely attentive.
3. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing. Although we didn't used it. If you plan to take advantage of it, it is great.
1. It's a long walk to Seranto center (somewhat dangerous on Corso Italia, limited/no sidewalk at some places). I understand that it is more costly the closer you get to city center. In hindsight, it would have been preferable for us since walking was our mode of transportation when not visiting the surrounding sites.
2. The room is due for upgrade (70s decor). Small bathroom. Need at least one more electrical outlet by the bed. There was only a single one across the room away from the bed.
3. Lots of dust under the bed.
4. Breakfast was just ok.
5.0
Very clean, spacious room and bathroom. Room was cleaned every day whilst we were out doing activities and the staff were super friendly and helpful in aiding our transfer back to Naples for our flight (€25 each for a small mini bus transfer). Breakfast was a mix of cold and a few hot items (very tasty) but lots of variety :)
It takes about 20-25mins (depending on how fast of a walker you are) to get to the main square (not as close we as we thought) and there is a small chunk of the route that doesn’t have a pavement so beware of the fast vehicles on the road! That said there is also a bus that can you there but they aren’t always regular.
