A very large, comfortable apartment (2-bed) with a view of the Nile, at a much lower cost than nearby 4- and 5-star hotels. The bathroom was nice and seems to have been recently remodeled. The young man who met us with the key also provides security at the entrance and was eager to help us with anything (we communicated mostly using a translator app). You can walk to the Egyptian Museum from here in about 15 minutes if you are brave enough to dodge cars under the bridge that's between the museum and the Hilton Ramses. The Hilton is a nice (and perhaps the only good) place to eat within walking distance of the apartment.
The building itself is a bit unpleasant (especially when viewed from the outside). Previous comments about the dirty stairwell ring true. But the apartment itself inside is quite nice. There is an elevator if you prefer to avoid the stairs. It would be really nice to have some bottled water in the apartment for guests, or perhaps a cooler. There are no grocery stores within walking distance that we could find, and no restaurants other than the Hilton. Using a delivery app is an option though, especially if you speak Arabic.

the apartment is very nice but the chairs are stained and the apartment is dirty.
the staircase is filthy and never cleaned, elevator is very old and if someone doesn’t close the door properly there’s no way for it to move, the apartment is not clean and there were flies inside not sure how they keep getting in. there was a smell of gas in the hallways leading to the apartment. I stayed in apartment 32.

Kamel our caretaker was extremely helpful, we loved the apartment. It is located in the center of the city, by the side of the Nile river. Helpful staff. Clean rooms. Ample space for a large group of 7-8 people.
Language barrier exists, needed to use google translate most of the time to communicate with the staff here. converting from English to Arabic and vice versa.
