The Location
I had a confirmation code from Booking.com and still had to wait an hour before I could go to my room. My shower didn't have pressure and there was no hot water. I had to complain three times and after two days they gave me another room. When I wanted to check out today I received a room service bill for 1100 EGP. I didn't order anything so i told them i'm not paying and they really thought they could scam me or intimidate with a security guy. I'm Egyptian myself and I'm ashamed of these kinds of people. If you choose to stay in this Hotel don't buy anything because they are more expensive then a 5 star Hotel like Marriott Hotel which is also located in Zamalek. Heineken 250 EGP = $5.27. Tripple Espresso 270 EGP = $5.69.

The hotel is located in good area, which is very safe and easy to access to a lot of coffee shops and restaurants around. The staff is friendly. Madonna the Reception lady, she helped us with our booking. As we had issue in our booking but she was very fast and helpful in helping us and fix everything. She was polite and tactful.
There is very good SPA in the hotel and very good massage.
The breakfast needs more variety to be served little but early as some days we needed to start early.

Safe area and nice breakfast
The dinner was no buffet, you only had to choose between 5 “menus” and everyday eat the same
The water pressure after 6 pm was really low and you couldn’t shower

Location is quiet and leafy and a short walk from the main area of restaurants. Young demographic (university level) - lots of students out and about. Would not think you were in Cairo.
Shower was large and functioning with hot water.
We were upgraded to a suite with wall to wall balcony view... of mostly delapidated high-rise apartments. That aside, the main issue was the fact that the balcony door had no key or lock. Hotel manager insisted that this was the norm and the room was safe, until we pointed out neighbours from either side could reach into the balcony and get into our room.
Upon our complaint, we were first offered a much smaller room which smelled of toilets - we did not accept.
We finally were offered another room (the one we had actually booked) which had a lockable balcony.
Unfortunately the bedding was unclean, greasy to touch and smelled used - so this had to be changed.
No cups, no coffee pods for the Nespresso - disappointing. Fixtures and fittings need a lot of attention. Surface level pretence.
Alarmingly, when the electricity went off at 6pm (load shedding, which we were not told about, and had not experienced so severely in other parts of Egypt - we were told to Google it!) the lift ceased and everyone was forced to use a tiny service lift for 14 storey building, this was not well managed. Stairs were inaccessible to go up to 12th floor as the emergency door can only open from the inside. Seems that only basement, ground and floors 12-14 are occupied by the hotel...the other floors appear to be residential apartments...
The foyer (where reception desk is) serves as a cafe and smoking area and is very pretentious - not everyone wants to wreak of cigarette smoke when they enter a building.
They offered a wake-up call, which we accepted as we had an early flight out, requesting call at 4:30am - they called at 4:45am - disappointing.
We were shocked to find walk-in rates for the room which stayed in (Superior) being 650 USD... No chance!

Location was amazing. Restaurant was great - older gentleman waiter was amazing! Also the option to buy from the bakery downstairs was nice.
Housekeeping weren’t amazing. They’d take the towels and not replace them with new ones and take ages to respond to requests. Bathroom could have been cleaner and newer. Sometimes had a foul smell coming from it.

Love this boutique hotel. The hotel staff (Abdul Halim and Remon) were super helpful. The location was perfect in Zamalek. The restaurant La Teresse served very good food. Amazing gym. My family loved the stay.
A little slow on responding to requests but this was because we were there during Eid and the hotel was full.

The property is in a great location.
The room was large and clean.
The lifts were very slow and there were some issues with one of them. We arrived at 6pm and had to wait while they finished cleaning our room!

The location is perfect if you’re planning to spend most of your time around downtown Cairo
There was a lot of hair all over the room.. Electricity kept on getting disconnected for a few moments throughout my stay.. The staff at the Terrace lounge were a bit rude

very comfortable bed and pillows, clean, renovated, nice lobby with comfortable seating areas for many groups. Breakfast was the best we had in Egypt. Neighborhood is safe and peaceful for walking at anytime.

Neighborhood location was fairly quiet. Olivio Restaurant next door was very convenient with decent food and drink. Only had breakfast at the on-site location and it was fine for a buffet. However, not too many a la carte choices.
The Cellar Bar open 10:00 pm - 4:00 am so with jet lag didn’t get to experience, but staff was nice enough to give us a tour.
The small bakery coffee shop did not open on time during our checkout morning, but the almond croissant from there was the best we’ve ever had.

The rooms are perfectly adequate and very clean. They have a safe, a desk, an easy chair, a window. A nice bathroom, towels are large and fluffy, common areas clean and pretty. The breakfast is very good and generous. The staff super friendly and nice: at breakfast, at reception and a special shout out to the bell-boys. Amazing.
The area is very pretty, quiet, and around the corner from corridor 26 of July with all the restaurants and fun. Actually it was awesome.
The coffee at breakfast could be better and there is some construction going on, so there was a little dust on the elevator but otherwise, it was great.

Well situated. Room was clean. beautiful view from the gym.
The room was a lot smaller than we expected. the elevators are quite slow.
