Perfect stay in charming town.

Beautiful setting, the room was pretty, clean , and comfortable. Sophia was amazing in communicating for an after hours check in. The breakfast was delicious and the whole stay was perfect. Would stay here again for sure!

No worth the money

The location was what where we wanted it but wouldn’t recommend it

Bar and restaurant closed only told a month prior, check in just given key told breakfast 9am that’s it, when we went for breakfast no one around and breakfast was very poor, none refrigerated yogurts, no choice of milk or juice, toast wasn’t toast just warm bread, pastries run out, tea ready mad and sat on a hot plate and no staff around at all! Not worth the money

dislike is a strong statement these things didn’t bother me at all just little points I noticed if someone was being fussy… kettle doesn’t fit under the tap in the bathroom but this isn’t a problem as you have complamenty bottles of water and glasses that fit under tap..the room was very hot on arrival but there was a large fan in the room and did eventually cool down no one can Controll the weather ! the bar and restaurant wasn’t open but if I read the email when booking they clearly state it’s not open unless there is function booked your attending there and there is a lovely pub across the road these three things are not dislikes the stay was really outstanding

Fabulous hotel with incredible staff

The hotel was beautiful. The room was stunning with plenty of towels, and the room itself was lovely and warm. The decor was gorgeous and really well maintained. We were provided with several bottles of water, and also tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were lovely and incredibly helpful. I would 100% recommend staying at The Wyndham, especially if you're attending a wedding at Clearwell Castle.

The wooden doors in the corridors did bang shut quite loudly. There was a wedding party staying the same night, and some of our guests heard them coming back and forth through the doors that shut quite loudly. I didn't hear them once asleep but a few others did.

Fab location for a Clearwell Castle wedding but a little tired for the price.

We were attending a family wedding at Clearwell Castle. We picked the hotel because of how close it was to the castle. It was perfect for what we needed it for. The room was very clean and the en-suite was nice and clean too. Parking was easy and close by.

In the run up to staying we found it quite difficult to get in touch with the hotel - after 3 emails I finally got a reply. We were a bit disappointed in the room - for what we paid we’d hoped for something a little nicer. The room was very clean though. There wasn’t a window of time for breakfast each day - we were told what time we were having breakfast. Breakfast was a full English - there wasn’t a choice which was a little disappointing for the price we paid and no options for children.

lovely night away

good tea & coffee making facilities. beds were comfortable. breakfast was very good. rooms were presented nicely and colour scheme was perfect. big rooms with armchair, desk, TV etc. the room smelt amazing when we came in.

there was a cobweb in the room. feel like it was quite expensive for the facilities that were provided.

The location was excellent as we where attending a wedding at Clearwell Castle Beds very comfortable and room clean

Bar and restaurant closed so we had to go to local pub to eat or get a drink .We where only told this after payment had been taken and not able to change as non refundable although when booking it advertises bar and restaurant !!!! Payment is taken one month prior to stay !!!..(non refundable although you find out later that basically you have a room and nothing else that is stated in the booking information ) .Had to self serve to check-in as only one member of staff and they where required at the castle .....Check in only after 3 ....but if later later than 3.30 ...you do yourself....You only get told this on morning of your stay !! Main hotel locked and closed after 3.30 so you basically are in your room which are in the lodges opposite main building ..... You have to boil kettle on the floor as no socket near to table !! For £145 per night this is definitely not value for money as basically that is what you get ....A room and told to go off site if you want anything else ...Food drink etc...... The local pub is short walk .....But.....You have to book in !!! We had travelled for 4 hours to get there and had to wait another two and a half hours to eat as that's the only time they had a table available !!! Obviously that is not the local pubs fault !!

Wouldn't recommend it!

Breakfast on the first day of our 2 day stay, was shocking I'm a veggie and I got 2 hash browns ( over cooked and hard) 1/2 a cold fresh tomato toast on the plate and no beans and when I asked, they had no beans they had run out!!! No extra knives for the jam on toast!! They did give me beans on my second day, saying they was spoiling me that morning!!!! And the communication to guest is the worse I've ever come across!!!

Breakfast and communication It's shocking paper stuck to doors telling you where and when, but the doors were locked up so your just left standing about!!!
