Stunning location. Would stay again solely for the proximity to lake access. Choice of motel, cabins and rv spots.
Average room amenities. Needs stronger space heater. Needs new pillows. Needs to correct electrical current situation as coffee maker, heater and bathroom light cannot run concurrently. Need to complete renovation of room, especially the removal of old heating unit under bathroom vanity and to properly fill remaining holes/gaps along water lines AND properly remediating the black mold located along the water line as seen from toilet and shower. Must also address the pink mold/algae growing between glass panes of shower. Communication between restaurant, basic gas station and motel would be appreciated by all visitors. Having definitive hours of operation posted and communicated would be optimal - not a guessing game. Also, having better options for food supplies would be nice.

Nothing
We had to find out room in pitch black darkness without anyone there to tell us where to go. The lightbulb outside both rooms was dead. The heating was so noisy we had to turn it off at night.

Breakfast was not included but the restaurant was fine. The location is good for campers. For us, we would have done better elsewhere for the same price.
For the price we paid, they could have provided a bath mat without holes in it and decent towels. The room was very basic.

Great location for ice fields Banff as good for our road trip.
Staff knowledgeable and very friendly. Room clean and quiet, good hot shower.
Restaurant, gas and store all on site.
Nice walking routes from location.
For the restaurant staying open longer for somewhere to socialise with our friends but I do appreciate that it was coming to the end of the season.

The staff was really nice and helpful, the shower was pretty rennovated, I would prefer the campground there rather the hotel.
We were told that the restaurant closes at 0700pm but we went there at 0620pm and we were told that the kitchen closes 0630pm. We had a mouse in the room which got caught in the mouse trap that was in the closet and it was making noise all night while trying to get out of the trap.
The nice woman at the office told us that we should have called her to take the trap out. She offered us a discount due to the not very good experience that we had and we found it very kind of her.

Perhaps mosquitos could be controlled.
Also felt like some people were smoking too close to the rooms

Be careful with the payments! I paid cash and asked for an invoice. The woman at the front desk said it wasn't necessary and she couldn't print it out at the moment. A few days later, the amount was collected again via the credit card. The request to rebook the double paid amount has not yet been complied with.

The room was clean.
You can see it's been recently renovated but the finishing touches aren't there with unfinished floorboards showing.
The restaurant as closed when we arrived because of an "incident" earlier that afternoon so we were without supper that night. There isn't a restaurant for at least an hour away which closes at 630pm.
It's right off the highway and very loud with traffic noise.
This is a motel with campground, restaurant and small store - hardly a resort.
It is very expensive for what you get.

Parking was fine and hiking nearby was good. The beds were clean.
The bathroom door would not come within 3 inches of closing due to a bent door hinge. The bathroom heater cover was missing a portion exposing a brown and rusty heater. There was mold or a brown substance at the bottom of the bathroom door jam. Walls were thin allowing road noise, noise from above and both sides, nearby outside stairs noise, and the sounds of water running in the adjoining rooms. The office was only open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM to provide any help. A staff person knocked on our door while we were resting, and while I was calling out "who is it?", she used her key to barge in and leave a no smoking pamphlet. (We do not nor did smoke.)

the surroundings
too expensiv considering to what you get.
restaurant was closed, and if the shopkeeper had not seen us we wouldnt have had anything to eat. it says that the opening hours is until 11pm at the restaurant.

location. situated in a desirable part of Alberta
no hot water in the evening.
no air conditioning which should be a basic element given the resort pricing
Internet service is lacking and is overwhelmed when more than 25 people start using the wifi
They need new mattresses.
Perhaps a new investment group.

Nice spacious room with kitchenette. Nice bathroom, more water pressure needed for shower.
Very noisy ALL night long, it was not a peaceful quiet sleep I expected. There was a constant mechanical noise every 10 minutes that was hear loud from the bedrooms.
The pull òut couch was not comfy.
