Beautiful spacious cottage in a stunning location with a great host.

The host provided basics upon our arrival, such as fresh eggs, bread, milk and fruit. She then shared fresh lettuce with us for our first dinner at the property. We did day trips and then relaxed at the property on the patio and had BBQ dinners. Lovely setting!

Beautiful farm- quiet and peaceful, and just beautiful views of Irish country fields.

The host was very accommodating about our arrival as she was on site. She greeted us with fresh eggs ( from her chickens), bread, milk, homemade jams and juice. It was so nice to arrive to those things. The accommodation was just what we expected, and as we were visiting in early May, it was lovely to have the wood stove ( easy to light) to warm us up after a day of exploring in the cold drizzle.
We could look out at the views and see horses and geese wandering by, or a tractor. Hot water in the downstairs bath tub was iffy, but did not detract from our enjoyment! We loved this place.

Beautifully restored and tastefully decorated stone cottage with all amenities. Barbara was the perfect hostess, friendly and always on hand to answer queries and provided essential provisions for our arrival. We would love to visit again.

What a lovely place to stay. So clean and had everything we could possibly need and then some. Barb left so many delicious items for us. Fresh milk, eggs, bread,Irish butter, freshly squeezed orange juice, a huge bowl of fruit, a box of chocolates, many spices and necessities
Barb and James were there for whatever we needed and very informative. We would definitely stay here again if we visited Ireland.

5 jet-lagged American women arrived after driving "the wrong way" (for them) to be met by Barbara - the best VRBO host we could have hoped for. Gracious, friendly and helpful. The house was everything it advertised and more. If you want a beautiful country setting and a seamless stay, this is it.

Beautifully sited accommodations in the converted stone stable houses. Right next to Curraghmore House, which is worth a visit. Barbara (host) provided everything we needed after a long drive: milk, juice, butter, and other essentials. Our kids loved the place. So did my wife and I.

Once we found the cottage (we drove across their field thinking that’s how you got there!). James (host) said it was a first! We were very comfortable. Barbara and her son, Harry, showed us around. Fresh eggs, bread, jam all waiting for us. Lots of beautiful horses on the property and chickens. We really spent no time at the house. Out and about until dark. Pleasant place to rest our heads at night. Thank you Barbara, James and Harry!

Enjoyed our stay immensely in this country cottage representing the best of Ireland. Where else would a peacock come to your door looking for a biscuit, or would you find fresh eggs on your doorstep delivered by a leprechaun? The hostess, Barbara, who organizes these wonders provides a charming, fully-stocked, warm and comfortable lodging for weary travellers unlike any in which we have previously stayed. She also operates a farmyard menagerie which warms the heart. In all my time as a septogenarian, I have never been better billeted, perhaps not even at home. I cannot speak any more highly of the kindly care we received from Barbara.

We were welcomed by the host, Barbara upon arrival. She was very nice even gave us some welcoming food/drinks. She gifted us with fresh eggs, a loaf of bread, butter, milk and orange juice. This was so nice after a long day of travel. The kitchen and a bedroom (sleeps 3) are downstairs. Upstairs is a family room with TV and wood burning oven as well as two more bedrooms (sleep 2 and 1 in the bedrooms). The drive to/from this VRBO was so pretty. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here with my partner and some friends for 2 nights during our tour around Ireland, and we all agree it was our favorite place we stayed the entire trip. The house was gorgeous and so cozy, and Barbara was the best host. There were so many personal touches around the home that made us feel so welcome. There was a huge storm and an area-wide power outage for most of our second evening, and Barbara made sure to check on us and brought us candles, water, and a headlamp and kept us updated on when the electricity was due to come back on. We had a great night playing cards by candlelight and had farm-fresh eggs for dinner. I highly recommend this property and host for anyone looking for a cozy stay in a beautiful area.

Very rarely, and only if you're extremely fortunate, do you find a place to stay like this. In all of the places that we've stayed, in various different countries, on 3 continents, not one have we said we would happily move into, permanently! The attention to detail, thoughtfulness and consideration for travellers was by far the best we have encountered (even baby gates top and bottom of stairs). We wanted for absolutely nothing. We could wax lyrical for days about our stay at Barbara's, but suffice to say we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and without a doubt would stay there again.

The property was absolutely beautiful! It was immaculate, comfortable and charming. The gardens were beautiful. We loved the peacock, horses and dogs that created us! Our hostess Barbara was extremely delightful! My adult children did not want to leave the farm to check out Kilkenny as planned. They were sad that we only had two days there. They said the next time we come to Ireland we are spending the entire time at Barbara’s. She went above and beyond to provide some goodies for our arrival and made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. My only regret was that we didn’t get to spend more time with her and Her son Harry!

What a splendid surprise
As we frantically left Dublin airport, on our first trip to Ireland, we were happy and relieved to be traveling south. It was a pleasant sight to see when we entered Barbara’s 1700’s Irish farmhouse. She, and her little boy, gave us the grand tour after we arrived from our trip to Waterford. Such a pleasant host. The house was clean and cozy. There was nothing we were in need of as everything was well stocked. We used her house as a home base as we explored the surrounding area for three days. I highly recommend Barbara’s house for those who want to experience an Irish country home.

Relaxing & Warm Welcome!
What a beautiful relaxing property with an amazing welcoming host. Barbara was there to greet us and even left us some bread and jam! Very comfortable accommodations. Loved the family room with log burning stove. It was a great place to spend the night, relax and catch up from our jet lag! We also loved the opportunity to walk and see and pet the horses on the property, we too have horses! Would recommend to anyone!

Excellent
We had a wonderful time and it is all down to Barbara the host. It was the little things like bread, milk, oj, fresh hen eggs and a little treat when we arrived
Also we were able to go up to the horses and the dogs just wandered in and out. Of course my girls loved playing with Barbara's son. Thank you so much Barbara and we will be back. ❤
