Kilford Arms was a lovely place to stay fir our first vidut to Kilkenny. The staff were first class and all assustance was fulfilled with speed and efficiency. The room was more than adequate clean and comfortable and the hotel accessible and central - a great base for visiting nearby medieval sotes such as The Rock of Cashel and Vahir Castle. Lovely place to stay.

Not a terrible place, but some problems for sure. One, the place is somehow over two bars at once, which are rocking all night. No sleep here (unless you also are partying all night). Two, a hidden window was left open in my room, so it was freezing in there and took a very long time to heat up.
Also, there was a lot of trouble with staff communications with Hotels.com, resulting in a different number of nights being reserved than it said on the website. Communications sent through Hotels.com, or even through direct email, could take several days for response.
On the plus side, the rooms are a decent size. Cleaned well enough. It's a fun neighborhood within walking distance to some cool places, and easy driving distance to some landmarks.

Taking in Kilkenny’s history, just a short overnight.

Everyone was very nice and the rooms are comfortable. Unfortunately there were loud, drunk people outside the hotel around 2:00 and some talking loudly on their cell going down the hall around 3:00.
4.1
Very comfy bed and clean. Happy to stay again.

Check in staff was super helpful in finding the parking lot in the back of the building. Close to castle, shopping, marathon, pubs, etc. This was a great little town and would recommend this stop to anyone visiting Ireland. The food in the pub was good. The music was fun.
4.1
Nice comfortable hotel in great location.

Location is ideal for the city, and the breakfast was great, however don’t discount the noise problem. The hotel encompasses a nightclub and our room, at least, was severely impacted (a family member in a nearby room reported no problems, in fairness). Thumping music until the early hours (this was midweek and music went to 2.30-3am) followed by rowdy, drunk patrons inside and outside of the hotel. We got little sleep over our 2 nights.

Nice hotel, close to the center of the town. Nice staff clean rooms

Nice stay at Kilkenny

Great place to stay with very friendly staff and close access to the entire city.

The Milford Arms is a traditional Hotel with a great bar & restaurant. Car parking at the back of the property is free for clients which is a bonus.
Breakfast was excellent with choice for vegetarians.
The evening menu again had lots of choice for meat/ fish eaters, & vegetarian choices.
The reception, bar & restaurant staff were friendly, & helpful. The hotel is five minutes from the centre of beautiful Kilkenny, & near to attractions.

Excellent location and outstanding staff.
Highky recommend

Bar quite noisy! Location great! Ask for a room away from the elevator unless you yourself are going to be in the bar until the wee hours

Very impressed with the place! Would go back again!

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Convenient location

The Receptionist staff were very rude and not helpful , they were rude on the phone and worse in person . We wished to upgrade the room to dual occupancy and met with resistance and a 60 euro charge for the same room to host an extra person . It was my first time in Kilkenny and this hotel was certainly not hospitable. For the same money I could stay in a better, more welcoming hotel . I will not stay here again.

Stay away from here! The doors don’t close properly. Every time the door is opened it has to be slammed shut. The tub/shower is moldy. There was a huge puddle in one of the hallways from god knows where- for 2 days.

Front staff lady was very cool. Property has been around for a few years but totally adequate. Price was also reasonable. Thank you.

Very nice location for exploring Kilkenny. Simple, basic rooms.

Staff and Management are appalling. Avoid this hotel. Hotels.com were of no use to use in challenging this hotel on the abuse suffered either.

Music was playing until 2am, but staff got us into our room many hours before ck in!

Excellent location

The fire alarm went off twice during the night. Breakfast was not great and the layout was extremely confusion for the price the hotel charged.

I would not recommend the Kilford Arms to guests. The common areas are a bit shabby, with worn carpets and scuffed walls. The room is small and not particularly pleasant. The staff seems indifferent. Breakfast is not included. There are better options.
4.1
Rooms were lovely and clean. Staff were excellent and was so handy walking distance to everything.
4.1
Wonderful and clean hotel with easy parking. The morning breakfast option was also very nice; however, there was a young man working there who was clearly sick and coughing and wiping his nose and then handling breakfast items without washing his hands. How do we seen that beforehand we probably would not have eaten there.

Great location, the staff were extremely helpful & friendly! The pub was so unique!

Great location, would recommend, but rooms are outdated

Beds VERY hard and no AC but was ok anyway. Most staff was quite unfriendly which surprised me.

Great place to stay

We stayed for one night. Service at the from desk was great, we had an issue with the TV that was resolved immediately. The entertainment was great ,very engaging with John and we would recommend. /the room was big but out of date. The Tub needs to be resealed and new paint on the box around the tub and it would be fine. Whoever titled was awful. The bathroom was very clean and so was the rest of the room. Very good location and [arking included++ bonus.
4.1
Just an expensive room over a pub. Noisy at night, food no god and a weird norse theme for the main hall. Strange setup.
