I loved the little touches the owner left for the guests. They were very responsive to any questions. The guidebook was very helpful!

Can't go wrong with this place. Beautiful house, inside and out. Very clean. Lots of amenities and equipped with everything you could possibly need. In a great, quiet neighborhood and only a 30 min drive in to Nashville. Perfect setup with space upstairs and down, so adult kids had their own space. Hosts are attentive and great with communication.

Very nice place with a great location. The layout works well with two "den" type rooms upstairs and downstairs, two master bedrooms upstairs and downstairs. Lots of wildlife around the lake. Great deck and patio. Cool firepit.

This place was Awesome and Dora was a great host. She was on top of taking care of all our needs and also provided recommendations for so really cool places to go during our trip. Lots of deer around the lake house. We even saw a bald eagle which was awesome. Definitely look forward to another visit in the future.

Enjoyed our long weekend by the lake with our newborn and both sets of grandparents. Don and Dora were very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay.

My wife and I stayed at this cozy lakefront home from November 25th-December 1st, along with several family members. Don and Dora were excellent hosts, providing tips on where to see Christmas lights around the area, as well as things to do while sight seeing. They thought of everything to make the stay more enjoyable, including a detailed pdf of the local attractions and helpful hints about the rental. We enjoyed the fire pit out by the lake! We highly recommend this property!

This waterfront home was clean, well-appointed, and very comfortable for more than one couple to share. Loved the back deck. Different levels provided ensuite baths and privacy. Quiet neighborhood for walking and wildlife was abundant! Drive into Nashville in about 25 min...Would definitely stay again!

Great for relaxing or fun. Quite neighborhood with a lot of wildlife (deer, wild turkeys, ducks, and geese). Enjoyed the kayaking, fishing, bonfire, and family time on upper and lower decks. Home was more than furnished. Had a lot of extras, too many to list. Would stay there again.

This had to be one of the most peaceful trips that we have taken. We spent more time on the back porch talking and catching up, all the while watching deer, turkey, and many other animals who decided to grace us with the presence. With all of us living so far apart, this weekend was just what we all needed to recharge. Thank you to the wonderful hosts who were extremely communicative. I do hope to stay here again!

This is the second time we’ve stayed in this area. It’s outside of Nashville yet close enough to anything you’d need. The hosts were very helpful!

My family showed up to spend a few days by the water. We arrived to s’mores and snacks waiting for us. My husband spent his time on their dock catching fish all day right from the dock. We saw all sorts of deer roaming around the yard every day. The hosts were very helpful and take time and care to make sure you enjoy your stay. I highly recommend the cozy cottage on the lake.

We had a great week at Cozy Cottage! Great place to stay, relax, and have a good time. View of the island was beautiful, and the area was quite. Everything you need to unplug for a week!

We had a wonderful time here. Don amd Dora were so easy to deal with. House had so many things to do( lots of outdoor games and indoor games. Kitchen had anything you could think of needing. Definitely would highly recommend staying there. Great for family with kids, dogs and for me my adult children. Our week went so fast. Thanks for sharing your home with us. We have so many wonderful memories. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family of six adults enjoyed a wonderful stay at Don & Dora’s Cozy Cottage. The house is clean, comfortable and nicely appointed with all you could need & more. The upper covered deck was by far our favorite place to gather & the perfect spot to watch the many deer that visited each morning & evening. The neighborhood is peaceful & quiet, yet close enough to stores & restaurants, and within a reasonable drive to Nashville. We especially appreciated the Touch Stay app with so much helpful info, from check in & house instructions to local area recommendations. We referred to it often during our stay & enjoyed some great meals at a few of the suggested restaurants. Highly recommend Lyncoya Cafe, Pancake Pantry & Valentino’s Italian restaurant! Don & Dora are thoughtful hosts who have their guests covered from start to finish! We would definitely stay again if we return to the area.

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The house was clean and well appointed. The owners took extra steps to make sure we were accommodated (special additions for our pups that traveled with us). The house had great views of the water and is situated in a great location on the river. We took our 24' tritoon and the dock was perfect to quickly get to the boat and out on the water. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Don and Dora's Cozy Cottage. Upon arrival, the check in instructions were easy to follow and the house was spotless. There was plenty of room for our family of 6 (all adults) and dog to relax and spread out without being on top of each other. We loved that each couple had their own bedroom and full bathroom.
The kitchen appliances were great and all seem to have been updated recently. The kitchen is also very well stocked with a variety of herbs and spices, and cooking equipment. My family are fairly advanced cooks and we didn't find ourselves needing anything additional!
The cottage also has a great amount of outdoor equipment that we took advantage of for kayaking and boating. We rented a boat and Don and Dora made sure the dock was clear for us to use. We also enjoyed fishing off the dock in the peaceful cove.
Lots of amazing wildlife on the property - variety of birds, a family of deer, lots of turtles, etc. to watch from the outdoor deck!
We also really appreciated the dog bowls and cleaning supplies for our pup. It was a nice surprise that these were available and not an afterthought!
Plenty of towels and shower supplies provided as well. Overall a great stay and everyone agreed we would return to this property again if we were to come back to this area.
Thanks Don and Dora for thinking of everything a guest could need!

The lake cottage was a great spot to put up some family while they were in town for a graduation. We were able to entertain them by the water and enjoy the beautiful view from the deck while we cooked out and ate dinner together. Had all the essentials needed to cook for the group. An additional plus was the big driveway that allowed room for all of us to park as well as a place to park our boat trailer while we kept the boat down at the dock for the stay. Good fishing and easy to get boat in and out of dock slip. Overall a great place to stay

We recently stayed here while in town visiting family for two events and we had the best time. Everything was super easy from check in to check out. Home was very clean and property owners were amazing at communication. Will definitely be staying here again when we come to town next. Thank you for an amazing weekend!

We were looking for a quick place to stay on our way to Daytona bike week. Plenty of room for truck and trailer. Very roomy. We all enjoyed it very much.

Exactly what we needed! My husband fished from his own kayak, and the teens took kayaks over to the island. We saw deer, geese, and a whole lot of turtles sunning themselves. Lots of thoughtfulness with the property and very communicative hosts. Thank you for your hospitality!

The check in process was easy. The house was very clean and cozy. The surrounding neighborhood was also peaceful and beautiful. I would highly recommend this house. This was one of the nicest short term rental properties we have stayed at.

Everything about this cottage was great! We had plenty of space to hang out, it was clean and comfortable, the owners were very responsive to my questions. I’d love to book again in the warmer season to enjoy more of the outdoor space.

Complete Lake get away! All the niceties to experience the beautiful lake setting outdoor and in the cottage. Large group of Deer to watch on deck and lots of birds, geese and ducks on the water. Serenity just relaxing and enjoying family. Cottage has very comfortable accommodations and kitchen well stocked with necessities. Definitely would visit again.

Our family consisting of myself, spouse, two young adult children and their significant others, along with my elderly parents stayed at the Cozy Cottage for New Years weekend 2022. We have family in Goodlettsville that we planned to visit with. The cabin is clean and well represented in pictures. We had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy TV, games, and dining. It was about 25 minute trip to our family’s home in Goodlettsville. The only complaint is that when one of the family members in Goodlettsville fell I’ll, we couldn’t change plans to have the other 4 come to the Cottage where we were instead ( to avoid taking the chance of getting sick at their house) without additional cost for them to be there with us during daytime hours only. Since we had traveled 6 + hours to see our family there, we took the chance and went to their home ( sick family member stayed in bedroom), and thankfully, no one got I’ll. It would have been nice to just have them yo the cottage for board games and dinner, but we felt the cost was a big much for daytime guests.
Otherwise, we were happy with the place and impressed with new bathrooms updated throughout. The hosts were easy to contact when needed as well.

This is an absolutely beautiful property right on the river. The house is very roomy and is well stocked. We enjoyed our time here!

Everything was as advertised. It was a wonderful place to stay. In addition, we had a handicapped individual in our group. Despite some minor difficulties with the front curb and front doorway, a gracious neighbor loaned us some plywood to make ramps for our friend to EASILY navigate that (the obstacles weren't impossible but the plywood made things simple). Overall the experience was EXCELLENT! Five Stars!

Enjoyed everything about this place. Very clean. Had everything we needed for our weekend getaway. Easy check-In and checkout.

This property is absolutely beautiful! The wildlife is amazing and we enjoyed having coffee on the upper deck in the morning and taking it all in. Don & Dora were a pleasure and answered all calls and emails that I sent them. We will be back to enjoy this beautiful cottage and property again. 💕 Tawana

My husband and I took my parents, our daughter and her boyfriend and my son and his girlfriend and our fur babies for a 5day getaway to Nashville. It was about a 30 minute drive to Nashville, but the cottage, lake and wildlife made it worth it! The cottage is so clean and has many special touches such as a fully stocked s’mores station that my “adult” children especially loved! There’s nothing like roasting marshmallows over a fire pit by the lake on a cool October night, with all the people you live the most! My dad especially enjoyed fishing off the dock and sitting on the balcony watching the deer, turkeys, geese and a red fox! Don and Dora were very quick to respond when I had any questions. Overall, we all give the Cozy Cottage 5 stars!!

My “clever” short title was the best way to describe this place/stay. Don and Dora (D&D) the host of the Cozy Cottage (CC) were over the top- honestly! The “so stinking cute cottage” (as we called it) was FULLY stocked! No joke, from snacks for us to snacks for the dog, from toilet paper to paper towels, from soap to shampoo…literally everything. On top of that, both hosts were SO responsive, kind and generous to us. The cottage is right on the water but also close to both Gallatin and Hendersonville. NOTHING is far. We had amazing food the entirety of our stay. Vowing not to eat at any chain restaurants (franchises were allowed), we had no trouble making our way through meals. Double Dog, Sams, Blue Grill, Los Cantaritos, and Filly’s- just to name a few. The area is wonderful, the people are wonderful and downtown Nashville is ~40 minutes from here. We Ubered and it was super easy & drivers were all super nice. Our entire family enjoyed this stay and area and would 100% recommend this place, for the hosts alone! Thank you for a wonderful LONG stay, as you know, we truly enjoyed it!

5th Annual Family Vacation
The house was awesome. Plenty of room and very clean. Only complaint would be that there was 8 of us and dining table only seated 6. We made it work. The covered dock was nice and easy access to the lake. Would recommend this place to anyone who loves the lake. The kids enjoyed the morning visits we had from several deer.
