About this house rental
Welcome to Slaughter Beach! This is a charming beachfront cottage offers easy access to the beach. Complete with three bedrooms and one bathroom, beautiful light and open kitchen and living area with a separate dining space. This home features TV, WiFi, washer & dryer, and off street parking. Owners have some beach chairs and an umbrella available for use. Bring your kayaks, paddle board and bike! Property does not offer these items so don't forget them! Bay Avenue is a biking friendly quiet street. The back patio Adirondacks are perfect for enjoying the view of the bay during the warm summer evenings. Sleeps up to 6 guests and pets are always welcome.
We accept reservations on a "first come, first served" basis. Ideal Property Solutions handles multiple vacation properties throughout Delaware. During the busy spring and summer seasons, please allow 24-48 hours for a response.
Ideal Property Solutions accepts payment through VRBO/HomeAway. Deposits are due with your signed contract within 10 days of making your reservation (Half of the full balance due). Final Balance is due 30 days prior to check-in. Thank you!

Our family stayed for a long weekend at the Cottage by the Bay. The cottage was lovely and well-appointed, providing a quiet and beautiful respite by the bay.

It was amazing to have a quiet place to come back to after returning from a busy day at the beach, water park, Rehoboth etc.
We enjoyed the sunrises from the beach and the kids found plenty of treasures. We even had a dolphin sighting!
Would love to return one day. Thanks!

Great stay at Cottage on the Bay, house has amazing views of the wetlands behind it and the bay to the front. Very clean, all the electronics you would need to entertain yourself when not out on the beach. We have rented several houses on Slaughter Beach and this was by far the best stay for us. One thing I would bring next time are fans, especially for the back bedroom, as the air inside the bedrooms can be a little still. Not a big deal, really great house.

Very cozy and lovely decorated house with all things yoj need to have a great relaxing vacation. We enjoyed this quiet area, the absolutly nice beach and the whole surounding. Yes, the gadflys are a pain but thats nature! Loved the walks on the beach and carry the many horseshoecrabs back to sea!

This home was so cute and cozy…perfect for the 4 of us (room for 2 more). The beach was just steps away and the lounge chairs made it relaxing to enjoy the view any time of day. We used the grill and had a wonderful day just staying around the house but also traveled to shops, the casino, Rehoboth boardwalk and many good restaurants in the surrounding towns. I wouldn’t change a thing and we hope to visit again!

I absolutely loved my stay! The sunrise views were amazing! A quick trip down the road to view sunsets! A quiet beach and warm water! What more could you ask for on vacation. Especially loved that I was able to bring my dog and she absolutely enjoyed the water. The steps to the beach were a bit wobbly, but I let the property manager know and she was quick to respond. The house was well cleaned and way more spacious than I anticipated. Just a note for future renters...The front yard had some mosquitoes, but with the marsh across the road that was not suprising and our first day we had biting flies at the beach. I knew about the possibility from other reviews, but always good to mention so others are prepared. I cannot wait to coming back! Thank you for a great pet-friendly rental! They are hard to come by.

My family and I enjoyed staying at this property for our summer vacation. The house is small but worked well for our family of 4. Appliances were in good working order and it was nicely stocked with household essentials.

We had a wonderful at this house in Slaughter Beach. The house was very clean and well stocked with the essentials to start your visit. Very cute house, plenty of space for the 4 of us. Quiet and peaceful location and views to die for. The beach is a little rocky, so bring sandals or water shoes for the beach. Would absolutely stay again.

We were a little disappointed that there were kayaks there and not available for use. When questioned after arriving I was told if we brought our own oars and life jackets we could use them. Not mentioned in the listing.
Honestly I don't think the house was cleaned before we arrived, if it was it was not done very well. There was hair, human and dog, on the floors and in the bedding. Refrigerator and counters needed wiped.

The views are absolutely amazing, and it was the perfect way to relax, simply watching the ships go by on the horizon. If there was a sea breeze from the bay, the small, quiet beach was perfect for getting some sun and relaxing. If the air was still and it became a little too humid (or buggy), we jumped in our car and visited the larger beach in Lewes just down the road. I’d also like to thank the associates at the property management company. We had one minor issue that was immediately resolved with a phone call (and they checked in to make sure that we were happy with the resolution). Our visit was nothing but two weeks of rest and relaxation, on the beautiful Delaware Bay. We’d love to come back and highly recommend.

The 3 bedrooms were small but the rest of the open floor area was spacious. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and knives (etc.) as we cooked every night inside or on the grill.
This place was perfect for me to relax and do absolutely nothing but sit in the sun watching the ships pass and 5 people a day walk pass. The teens and young adults I sent to Rehoboth Beach or other places for their fun. They did kayak to the point a few times. The horse/greenhead flies were bad 2 days out of 7 but we sprayed bug spray and it helped. Cooper the dog did get the brunt of the bites.
It was beautiful and quiet! No activities but walking on the beach collecting rocks or sea shells.
I would definitely rent this place again.
