Shipwrecked was a great family space. We enjoyed the calm water off the dock and the location was central for enjoying the more established side of the island or heading south the Little Exuma. Jack was an excellent communicator with helpful guidance and his cleaning and maintenance staff were prompt and helpful.

Pictures are an accurate depiction of the property. Water is gorgeous right off the dock. Loved the porch! Perfect for our group of 4 adults and 5 kids.

The house was great and very well-kept. Jack and Kaye were wonderful hosts and caretakers. We all had smiles on our faces the whole time. The listing is 100% accurate and it is worth a stay. We will most certainly be back on our next year's Exuma vacation.

I was a little nervous at first that the house wouldn’t be big enough for our crew of 10 but I was wrong. The location is absolutely wonderful. Beds were comfy, A/C was awesome, showers & water pressure was perfect. The owner & Ms. Cay was always available to answer any questions. The outdoor kitchen was to die for and the pizza oven was a huge hit for our family. Will definitely be staying again!!

Beautiful private home with house and guest cottage. The dock, private beach, and views are 10/10! This is our second time staying at a house of the owner and property manager - their communication is excellent! Would definitely stay again!

Just beautiful, and the sandbar was amazing. We kayak out there, but you could literally walk it also! We enjoyed the screened in patio, and the grills were top-notch. We even use the pizza oven. It was amazing.

We have been enjoying Shipwrecked for past 6 years. Never disappoints . Well equipped with household items and all you need to enjoy the water and beaches. The internet is great and the generator always has the house up and running. Some talk about the road in but many of holes were filled in on our last stay as a bonus . Jack and Kay are always there to respond and ensure your experience is top notch!!
Jack is a great host!
Always great at Shipwrecked

My husband and our children spent the week between Christmas and New Years here and could not have asked for a more perfect spot. Private and beautiful! The house had everything we needed and the house manager took great care of us before our arrival.
Would definitely consider going back!

We spent a week at the Shipwrecked House with our two adult children and their spouses. We had plenty of space for all of us, with everyone getting a king size bed. We used the enclosed porch 90% of the time. It's very large with all the cooking appliances to cook meals at home. You can snorkel right off the dock and snorkel gear, kayaks, paddle boards, towels, floaties, etc were all provided. We had the best time and can't wait to go back!

Shipwreck was a dream vacation! It suited our group of 8 well! Everyone had their own sleeping area and was please but forget the house our own private beach well equipped with kayaks made the stay even better.
Jack and Kay were very helpful and quick to respond. They had the refrigerators well stocked with Bahamian beer.
Even the neighbors were friendly!
We thoroughly enjoyed Shipwreck. It was adventure to get there the roads are not for the small cars at all. But the property was worth the trek!
Our first stay but definitely not our last!

This location was nothing short of spectacular. The view was breathtaking and the sandbar was fun to visit during low tide. Jack had a plethora of kayaks, snorkel gear, paddle boards, beach towels, sunscreen, bug spray, and beach floats for our stay. We were able to rent a boat for a few days and keep it docked at our place. The separate houses made the accommodations for our two families comfortable; we had 9 people in total and never felt cramped.
The housekeeper, Kay, was attentive and made our check-in process easy and both houses were clean.
Our favorite amenities about our stay was the outdoor kitchen. It made breakfast and dinner a breeze! We used it ALL THE TIME.
We can’t wait to visit again!

Jack and Kay are great hosts. For starters, they provided a list of attractions and amenities when we booked to help us plan our first-time family trip to Exuma. Kay stocked the refrigerator before we arrived taking away the worry about finding food when we got there. The home is clean, well maintained and updated in all the right places (bath/beds). The kitchen isn’t gourmet but got the job done along with the grill and pizza oven. We enjoyed family meals on the screened-in porch. There are two water coolers for drinking and ample linens for bath and beach. Our 4 kids (13-19 years) stayed in the main house. Each had their own bed. Who doesn’t love an outdoor shower? Adults liked having our own separate space with a comfortable king bed. The best part was the backyard! We spent hours on the dock fishing, in the water swimming, snorkeling, floating, sitting in the sand/water on our own little beach and kayak adventures to the sandbar. The central location made it convenient to go north or south for an excursion. It’s close to Georgetown for a quick stop to restock groceries. Roads on the island are rough and do require great care while driving. Overall, if you’re looking for a quiet island getaway, off the beaten path that has everything you need, is clean, cozy, includes the ocean for your backyard playground and hosts that are responsive, informative and make you feel welcome, this is it. One last thing, groceries and restaurants, are expensive. Local rum is cheap however!

Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Kay was wonderful. She met us right at the airport and we followed her to get groceries and liquor because she was in the area. The view was amazing. We took kayaks out to the sand bar and then continued walking at low tide to an island across the way. We enjoyed the screened in outdoor kitchen. That’s where we spent our evenings. I have a 4yr old that loved swimming and playing with the beach toys in the sand. Very peaceful. We did not feed the neighbors dogs and they still came through the yard. They are friendly. We just told them to go home and they left. I now can say I love Exuma and the people. Everyone is very friendly. Thanks again Jack and Kay.

The property, for a little place, had many flexible options to accommodate and give space to everyone- doing their different favorite activities.
Swimming, kayaking, reading under the trees, cooking,
many sleeping perches and nests.
The property was super well stocked and we would definitely come back again.

We loved this property - the views and activities were amazing! Jack did such a great job of giving us so many things to do and places to go. Truly the most responsive host! Kay was also on site to help us check in and go through all the details. She was great as well.
I didn’t realize the guest cottage had 2 bedrooms in it and the main house had 1 with a loft. It worked out for us but not something I knew when booking.
This was our first trip to the Bahamas and we will be back! We fell into in love with the people and the island! We decided to spend time with our kids and grand baby for Christmas instead of buying a bunch of gifts no one needs. This was the perfect place to do that!

We stayed here for 5 nights from November 9 to 14 and really enjoyed our stay! Jack was very communicative beforehand and set us up in a What's App group chat with Kay (the property manager who lives nearby). Kay was so nice and helpful and helped us find ('rescue' actually) this place as Google was not accurate. A word of advice is to ask Jack and Kay for a map (a recurring problem per Kay) in advance, and to consider renting a larger vehicle due to the very rough dirt road from Queens Highway, which is about a good 5 minute bumpy ride, even worse in our case due to Tropical Storm Nicole's heavy rain and mud pits the days before.
We only stayed in the main house but the guest house is more modern. The kitchen has everything you need; Keurig, Nespresso pods provided with plenty of bottled water. Laundry detergent is provided in the laundry room, which is accessed from an outside door in the guest house with 2 washers and one dryer - very convenient. Note we went to Exuma Market beforehand to stock up, but wish we had known or recalled what all was provided beforehand.
We used the main house's Roomba and Pyle bluetooth speaker a bit, along with the patio BBQ, though the pizza oven was not working per Kay. There are 3 TVs; we wish the TV satellite service or Roku's worked but did use the TV's built in Netflix and YouTube apps. It looks like Starlink is in the works. We would recommend that Kay does a quick 'test' before future guest arrivals so there's no surprises with clear written directions on how to systematically troubleshoot and who to call if needed; I did speak with a Rev satellite support contact provided by Jack, but he recently had left that company and couldn't help too much. There is an outdoor tub by the guest house that looks in the works, but enjoyed using the outdoor shower.
The deck and beach area is great! It did not look like any neighbors had a private sandy beach. We used the kayaks to go out to the sandbar at low tide. We wish it was less windy the first 2 days but Nicole's effects went away after. In the evening, the wind died down and the water was perfectly flat and glassy while we enjoyed the sunset. Do note that bug spray is essential, and there is a can there for use along with sunscreen, also very helpful in case you forget to bring or run out! Fina is a neighbor, and we enjoyed meeting her dogs!
We highly recommend Shipwrecked for those looking for a private, quiet place to relax!

Absolutely Amazing.
We chose this house for the outdoor area and huge screened in porch! It was perfect for two families (5 kids ages 7-15). We were glad we had the beach area, dock with swings, kayaks, paddle boards, etc. We knew the kids would love these things but the adults enjoyed them too. We cooked a ton of meals in the outdoor kitchen (it has everything you could need… grill, pizza oven, griddle, etc) and all hung out together on the porch in the evenings. The Bonefish flat side of the island was gorgeous. During high tide the kids jumped off the dock and swam, during low tide we walked to sandbar! We even walked across to the island you can see from the house (further than it looks 😂 but do-able!) We saw stingray, sea turtles and lots of fish from the dock. The kids enjoyed the rock in front the of houses to walk on and explore! Kay, the property manager was amazing and responded with in minutes to answer any of our questions. The neighbor Fina was really nice and welcoming and the kids loved meeting her dogs! The house certainly feels away from everything and is quiet and relaxing but running into town wasn’t far or hard to do. Being at the house was our favorite, but we also rented Hydro Bikes from Hydro Water Sports 242 and the Bonefish flats side was an amazing spot to petal around and explore. There is a blue hole down several houses and around the corner, which is a must see and accessible by kayaks and hydro bikes. We drove to Tropic of Cancer beach and went to Hoopers Bay and saw all the Sea Turtles. Visited restaurants such as Santana’s, Mama’s bakery, Splash Bar and Grill at Hideaways… all these things are easy to do while staying at Jack’s Shipwrecked Cottage (as long as you have a rental car). We loved our trip and will be back!

Wonderful property & great host. We were so happy we could sneak in a last minute 2 day stay at Shipwrecked. Jack has always been flexible, super responsive & helpful host & the property has everything you need to relax & unwind. Would certainly rent again!

Awesome month
This is the 2 nd time we have stayed here. The first time the screened in porch and all the outdoor cooking options weren’t there. We stayed for a month and used the outdoor cooking almost every day. We also went kayaking most days. Jack and Kay were always available if we had any questions.

Awesome place!
My husband and I stayed with another couple at this home. It was perfect for us because we each had our own space which was really nice. The separate guest house is a great set up.
The view is spectacular!!!! It is just breathtaking and very private.
The house has absolutely everything we needed! It was clean and well decorated
We cooked dinner each night and the full kitchen outside was perfect for preparing great food and enjoying the view. The kitchen was well equipped. The screened porch was where we spent our evenings. They even had lots of games to enjoy. They also had a good workout gym.
We enjoyed the dock with comfortable Adirondack chairs. We used the kayak and paddle board.
We would definitely come back to this home. It was amazing!! Also, Jack and Kay were perfect hosts! Thank you for a great stay!!

Vacation
Home is excellent with the exception of the room with the gym creates an odor in the other area that makes it difficult to sleep. Please bring tons of bug spray as you will need it once the sun goes down. Bug bites are bad Cortizone and Benadryl are needed. Great place great location you will truly enjoy yourself there and get lost in all the views.

Perfect island vacation!
We just returned from spending a week at this property - and the main house and guest cottage were perfect for our group of 8 (2 families, 4 adults, 2 teens, 2 kids 10 and 8). The property looks just as pictured here....most importantly, everything that is critical to have a comfortable island stay works flawlessly - plumbing, hot water, refrigerators, the many many outdoor cooking options, and especially the AC!! There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep and relax comfortably. Owner and property manager were super communicative, with SO MUCH information provided ahead of time so we knew what to expect. Check in and check out was easy. If you want a comfortable place for a small group to spend a gorgeous vacation on this beautiful island - this property is simply perfect! It's an especially great option during COVID, we spent entire days playing in the ocean, on the dock, on the sandbars and the small islands across the way without seeing any other people - just what we were looking for! Thank you Jack for providing such a great vacation home so thoughtfully!
