Tyee Blue Heron cottage is beautifully done inside and sits with a beautiful beach and view. We had to wait thru a day of rain and then the sun came out and it warmed up. We saw Orca whales swim up the straight and you wonderful representative on the island was in contact and let us know she would text us if she heard they were back. This is our second time here and we have loved it both times. We will be back!

We are between moves and the house was a perfect respite. We mostly slept and walked the dog. We did see a mama and baby orca and a grey whale. Many thanks. Just what the doctor ordered.

The house is on the smaller side as far as the living area. But very cozy and was fine for the two of us! I went with my mom we were visiting her brother who lives down the street. We really loved this home! I can’t think of anything to complain about! The door lock was confusing, it didn’t always work so I used the key from the key box. Other than that it was great!

Cozy, secluded home on east facing sliver of land, close to the southern tip of the island. You can tell this home and land has been well loved by the owners with photos and collected mementos throughout the home. It felt like we were staying with fun, laid back friends. Love this property!

It was a great experience! Felt like home and super comfy beds! The view were amazing especially…especially the sunrise. Would recommend any time of the year. Thanks for sharing!

It's incredibly quiet which was loved. Appliances all worked. Heating and ceiling fans worked great. My gripe would be the whole place was dusty. No coffee grinder only a standard blender.
Now the biggest down side. The fireplace poured smoke into the house even with the vent wide open. Had to opens windows and leaves the house the smoke was so bad. Same with just getting the fireplace lit, it just sent the smoke into my face. Was forced to blow air out of my mouth to get the chimney to take the smoke away. Which would stop and then more smoke was in the house.

We couldn't speak highly enough about our experience at this getaway. Tyee Beach is a really special tiny strip of houses right next to the sound. It's peaceful, quiet and has the feel of a friendly, artistic community. The house is comfortable and has everything you need. The views are amazing and you have private beach access. It's great for a peaceful retreat. We will definitely be back!

The house was wonderful. Huge windows and beautifully decorated. Saw several gray whales from the house and just out front. Both Kim and Stephanie went above and beyond. Can’t wait to go back!

My wife & I loved our stay at this Tyee Beach house. Great location & fantastic house. The home is fully stocked with a great kitchen & huge main bedroom. Made for a great winter getaway for us and we can’t wait to come back during the summer.

Some side notes: The staff and management were super helpful when I got snowed in. Also, the driveway is actually quite large and can fit like 5-6 cars if desperate. I think the listing just says 2 for liability. Knowing this may help you when planning your booking, as the closest parking on the island is quite far.
The house was fully stocked with all cookware, dinnerware, power extensions, some board games, towels, etc. It had everything I could think of except laundry detergent.
The house is very cozy and beautifully arranged. The wifi worked. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. Great views.
Highly recommend.

Great view, quiet, relaxing. The unending supply of wood for the fireplace was awesome as it was chilly this time of year. We have never been to Camino Island, but we will definitely be back! Cozy soft towels, comfy beds, great hang out space and the outdoor seating area to sit and watch the water, sea lions, bald eagles and great blue herons!

This is a unique, comfortable cottage filled with love and family beach treasures that show how much the house has been enjoyed over the years. We appreciated the many options to enjoy being outside and hosting family down on the deck next to the water where we watched herons, loons, and harbor seals. We enjoyed easy scenic driving to nearby parks on the island that were beginning to change to fall colors. As a bonus, we were treated to a gorgeous full moon rising over the inlet to cap it all off!

All as advertised. The house is pretty well equipped and super nice. It's located about an hour and 30 minutes from Seattle right off a rocky beach with a separated patio by the water.
It's located towards the end of a long 5mph, one-lane street. Just make sure you don't go faster than that...I got yelled at by a neighbor to slowdown for doing 8 mph :) Other than that it was all good!

What a beautiful setting, right on the water! I grew up spending summers on Orcas Island so I am spoiled. But this home is awesome! So quiet and peaceful at night and just the gulls during the day.

Beautiful home. The property is well maintained and great for family gatherings. We also rented Lutefisk Lodge four doors down, which allowed family to be close together. A wonderful time was had by all, and happy memories were made.

The pictures of the house were accurate, but the view in person was even better than the pictures. The patio area by the beach was our favorite hang out spot. We saw bald eagles and other wild life. The only thing we didn't notice on the website was that you have to go through the 2nd bedroom to get to the 3rd bedroom. Our kids didn't care because they were so happy that they didn't have to share a room. Overall, the location was great for a relaxing vacation, the view was amazing and the house was beautiful. We would love to return!

We were here for four nights around Easter Sunday. We had sunny days to be outside and stormy days to enjoy the fireplace. Just perfect!

We lived the ecclectiness of the beach theme in the house. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook with. Loved the fireplace and the beds were very comfortable.

Lovely Stay
The house was all as advertised. While it is across a narrow road from the water, you can't even see the road due to the elevation of the house. A nice quiet, older neighborhood and a pleasant walk for the pups. Kitchen was well stocked with the exception of aluminum foil to cover my cooking chicken, so cooks, maybe be aware of that minor detail. We would certainly stay there again.

Carol's thoughts
It did have a nice, homey feel as was advertised. Very well supplied kitchen. Beds - extra comfortable. I felt safe in the house as well as the surrounding area. Nice to look out over the water. Think it would be spectacular in the summer.

Beautiful place for a perfect time with family.
This place is so special. My husband, daughter and I had a very relaxing and fun time while staying in your beautiful and well laid out home. The home was very clean, and the kitchen well stocked.
