This property was the perfect place for a quiet family vacation. The pool onsite kept the kids busy anytime we were at home and the dock out back was a great place to sit and read in the mornings! We were there during a weather event and the property manager was responsive when we had questions.

From boat rides to sunsets, this place was a nice place to relax and enjoy some time with wife and kids. Clean and easy checkin and super easy checkout. Would definitely stay there again

💢The check in was A+.
The house was clean apparently, sheets had a foul smell, dust all over, stinky fridge.
The house was still like unfinished, unfinished wood and wall paint.
A side from that, I didn’t care; usually arrive n clean n wash all that I will be using, mop, n so on; so it was like whatever.
The small bedroom’s floor vent doesn’t work.
Nice place aside from every thing else; We totally enjoyed the place.
Our nightmare sort of began, on Friday a bit, we were to leave on Sunday.
My older son, began with a headache, next day followed by chills.
We left Sun at like 9ish am 8/27/23.
He still had horrible headache all the way home.
We arrive home he felt sick stomachache fever and headache with chills, a rash began tiny on near wrist n near elbows n on near ankles.
Next day went to Dr., nothing refer him to a dermatologist.
Dermatologist did blood work and a biopsy of his arm, since they didn’t know what it was.
Next day called our Doctor, he thought it was poison ivy prescribed him Benadryl for itch and Steroids. Nothing seem to work.
Results came back he was Healthy.
Now, he had severe lower abdomen pain could hardly walk n had horrible rash only on his arms legs, ears n top of lips and with fever. My son said call the Dr. symptoms r getting worse, so Dr. Said come in to office, n then send him to Connecticut’s Hospital, they hospitalized him 4 days, still on meds. Skin: Chemicals in pool reacted with sunlight, rest of his symptoms don’t know yet. 💢‼️

Me and my boyfriend booked this property for a 5 night/4 day stay and unfortunately we’re a bit disappointed. For the amount of money we spent on this VRBO; you’d think cleanliness would be a priority. Most of the walls and vents were incredibly dirty and some of the rugs/towels were either stained badly or not cleaned properly.
Before booking, I read some reviews from over a year ago about updates in the home, but they certainly are far from finished. Almost every single wall had holes in them where shades/curtains used to be…and now there are none. It would have been nice to use some sort of curtain in the living area for privacy. The bedrooms/bathrooms were incredibly old, especially the showers. We also stayed 5 nights and were left literally two rolls of toilet paper, about 4 tablespoons of dawn dish soap and 0 trash bags.
With all that said, the pool was incredibly clean and very nice and refreshing. Unless the clouds are out, you will be directly in the sun, no shade on the deck/pool area. We did get use of the lake the house is on which was perfect for paddle boarding/kayaking.
The outdoor access to lake and pool made this property worth it. I hope the updates continue because it has a ton of potential.

With the clean and refreshing swimming pool and available fishing dock this house was a great place for out of town grandparents to spend a few days with grandchildren! Working parents joined us for the weekend. This is a comfortable home tucked at the end of a quiet inlet.

The view and outdoors make this house
The view of the lake and the pool are great! The portions of the house that have been redone are nice. When the rest is done— it will be a great house and worth the money. Unfortunately the house renovations are not yet complete. Additional furniture is also needed around the pool including some lounge chairs. In addition, it would be better if the 3rd bedroom had a double bed or bunk beds.

Fun on the lake
Everything was great. The house was beautiful and fully equipped. Everything was clean. The pool was wonderful and clean when we got there. Would have liked lounge chairs but that was minor. The cove was so peaceful and quiet. Would stay here again.

A for potential / C for execution
This property is a diamond in the rough, and just a little too rough for the $500 a night we paid off season when VRBO + Evolve fees were added to the advertised rate. Look out for that and know what the final bill will be before you rent as the price and the place didn’t line up for us. The view and pool are wonderful and the outside deck inviting. The inside is modest with some nice amenities like comfortable new mattresses and living area furniture, well stocked kitchen, and big TV / speedy WiFi. Without the pull out couch, sleeping is limited to 5-6 including small kiddos to share beds. It is not a big place. We sought support several times through the week because of a shattered cook top stove and dirty oven, poorly installed blinds supported by painters tape, and a lingering smell of smoke from the central fireplace no longer in use. If you have a smoke sensitivity be aware that you may need to mitigate the smell with open windows and candles. It got much better through the week as we were blessed with great weather and fresh air but the first impression of what we believed to be cigarette odor made for a rough first impression. We are sad about the way our stay ended as we really might have asked to come back had our concerns not been dismissed as picky. We felt like maybe the house just wasn’t ready for renting preseason 2021, offered feedback, and asked that the final bill reflect our concerns. (We received a small price adjustment for our 9 night stay). Still, the stove top has been cracked since June 2020 according to past reviews. We wish the owner well and future guests a great experience. Just know what you are getting for the price paid and maybe pass on Evolve properties with big added fees you don’t need. We love Lake Murray and will choose a different experience next time. But the pool and view ... sure will be sorry not to enjoy those again, or experience the ongoing upgrades sure to come as the owner continues to invest in this beautiful setting on the lake 🦆

Lake view
The house was nice, a lot smaller than I anticipated. The only complaint I have is the cleanliness of the house. There were a couple things left from the guests before, their trash bags outside by the garbage which made us have to leave the trash in the grass by the garbage cans. The pool was nice!! Overall, I would definitely stay again.

July 4th Getaway
We stayed here because its close proximity to our family at Lake Murray. Besides some aesthetic things that need updating (some scuffs on the walls, stovetop cracked), everything was fine. Could use some softer pillows, but that’s not the end of the world. Nice to have laundry and a dishwasher on hand as well as some outdoor space to hang out in. Was only able to get in touch with the “before the stay” contact and didn’t get any response from the “during the stay” contact, but were able to figure out what we needed.
