About this house rental

Charming one level 1940's stone cottage in the heart of Northern Virginia. Cozy and warm and only 20 minutes out of our nation's capital. Large yard for kids and outside entertaining. Outdoor amenities include two patio seating areas, a fire-pit, and a gas grill. Inside there is a gourmet kitchen, two fireplaces and a beautifully decorated living area. .

Our stay here was amazing. The master bath is to die for and the beds were very comfortable. Great location with just a short drive to the metro or downtown. Highly recommend!

The place was more than I expected! It was beautiful, spacious and actually had everything you would need to cook inside/out! I would definitely stay again if in the Virginia/area!

The house is beautiful and on a really big lot with excellent backyard potential We were only there for two nights and they may have been the hottest of the entire year being in the high 90s and reaching 100° one day So we were not able to enjoy a whole lot of outdoor activities The cushions that go on the patio furniture were very stinky There was an ongoing issue with the AC Nest system. Was in contact with host a few times to request adjustment of thermostat Temperature in house finally cooled in the early morning hours of the day we left Host had two small fans delivered to the house, a very thoughtful gesture but size of the fans were just so small they didn't quite make the difference we needed Overall rating is 4 out of 5 stars because of how pretty the house is and stocked very well with everything you would need Three things to consider: possible AC difficulty, the bed in the master is like sleeping in a hammock, sunken in the center, and the outdoor cushions are quite stinky... But if it's almost 100° who's hanging outside anyway! Lol We enjoyed our time there and would rent again in the future providing AC and bed were fixed ❤️

Weekend trip to visit family in the area and were so excited to be able to stay in this wondeful home! The description was great but it actually exceeded our expectations. Very clean, beds were super comfortable, and the prime location made this cottage a total win for us.

Traveling the east coast with my family of 5 and wanted to visit DC for a few days but commute from a safe neighborhood outside the city. This perfectly fit our needs. It was only about 20-25 minutes to the National Mall using non toll roads. There was plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. The yard space was much larger than I would have thought from the pictures. Made for a great space for the children to chase firefly’s in the evening when we were back at the house. The home was very well stocked with everything you need for cooking, showering and plenty of toilet paper and paper towels which in my experiences is above and beyond the average. Beds were very comfortable, house was clean and we have no complaints at all. The host immediately responded when I did have one question. Made me aware when the landscapers were coming. Definitely would utilize this house again in a few years when we visit the area again.

This is a well-located house, not too far from the Metro and highways. It has a large fenced yard. The master bedroom suite is newer and very nice with a large closet; the other two bedrooms are a little quirky in how they are connected to their shared bathroom and each other. The kitchen is well-stocked and nice. Major issue is that the large fireplace in the living room (which we did not use) has been used in a way that has left the whole house smelling of wood smoke, which we did not find pleasant. (The owner left instructions for those who use the fireplace to ensure that the flue was open; but either they did not follow those instructions, or the wood-burning fireplace just continues to vent enough to discolor the paint above it and create a lasting odor.)

Super stay at a lovely cottage in Annandale. Clean house with ample room. Primary bath is fantastic as is the patio. We had great weather and spent each evening winding down the day in the serene backyard setting. House is close to everything with any needed amenity within minutes.

The house is beautiful. The host was really responsive and has stocked all the basics. It was perfect for our family visit. The backyard is fully fenced in and huge! Beautiful setting. We would definitely return.

Everything about this home was perfect. Beautiful fully stocked kitchen, great big fenced back yard, wonderful master bedroom and ensuite bath. We’d definitely stay here again if we’re in the area for an extended time. Thanks Drew!!

I selected this property for the large yard, as we were visiting family in the area and had our dogs with us. The house is very appealing with high-end finishes. Everything was clean; appliances worked, and the neighborhood is quiet. Exactly what we needed for a Christmas visit.

We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Location was great too! Just so you know the toilet in the master bath kept running after being flushed and it was necessary to open the lid to fix it. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We were really impressed with house and all of the amenities. It was very comfortable, clean, and beautiful all around. After daytime sight seeing and dining, it was a peaceful and restful space to relax in the evening.

The location was exclusive and have peaceful neighborhoods. The master bedroom is spacious and immaculate, although the other 2 bedrooms are tiny and location of the restroom is a little bit off. All the supplies are provided everything you need is in the house. Overall it was a great place to stay for family and this is pet/kid friendly and has a huge backyard.

Fantastic property in Northern Virginia. Close to highway, Metro (train) stations, shopping, and restaurants. We used it as a home base for a vacation with our 2 adult children to visit attractions in the Washington DC area. The house was a quiet side street but had easy access to main roads/highways. The master bedroom suite was great, with an incredible bathroom featuring a big soaker tub and a huge walk in shower. Great kitchen open to dining area and living room. Two other good size bedrooms with a shared bath. Back yard was very nice, private with plenty of seating and amenities. House and property were very neat and clean. Owner was very responsive in in answering questions during our stay. Highly recommend this property, we would definitely stay there again.

From the fully stocked kitchen to the large fenced back yard to the soaking tub, this has everything you need; just bring the groceries and you're set! Easy, central and quiet location. Drew the owner is very responsive to any questions you may have. Will definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay so much! The house was very clean. I'm OCD and I did not feel like I had to clean anything when we arrived. The yard was so pretty. Our little dog loved running and watching squirrels. After a day of sightseeing, it was so nice to come back to the house and relax on back patio. Felt like I was in the country. Very close to everything. We would definitely stay here again. The house looks so much better in person. This property deserves more than 5 stars.

The property is well cared for and has plenty of amenities for everyone in the family. The backyard is perfect for having fun or just hanging out. Inside and out it is evident that the owner takes care of this home. The owner is also very quick to respond if contacted with any issues. Overall, this has been the best house we stayed at on Vrbo.

This property is much bigger inside than the pictures show. Our party of 4 adults had plenty of space. Clean and well furnished, quiet and peaceful, close to all NoVa venues. We plan to stay here again next year. Owner was very responsive to our needs.
