About this cabin rental
Seeking a Smoky Mountain cabin large enough to accommodate a family reunion, a church retreat or a wedding party? Your search is over. With eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms, Moonlight Lodge can sleep as many as 36 people. What’s more, it’s just a 10-minute drive to the attractions-packed Pigeon Forge Parkway.
Five of the spacious bedrooms qualify as primary bedrooms. Each has a log-frame king-size bed, some feature a futon that opens into another bed for two, and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. One of these bedrooms is especially luxurious. Not only does it open directly onto the deck that houses the hot tub, but its en-suite bathroom includes a jetted tub.
Two of Moonlight Lodge’s other bedrooms feature queen-size bunk beds. With a pair of queen-size bunk beds, the eighth bedroom can sleep eight people. The kids will love making this space their headquarters--every night will be a slumber party! Each of these bedrooms has a flat-screen TV as well.
Teens in your group might want to stake their claim to the upstairs media/game room. The vaulted beamed ceiling makes the space feel even larger than it is. The extra-wide flat-screen TV is ideal for movie night, and the well-cushioned sofa opens into yet another bed for two. When you’re not watching TV in here, you can shoot pool or play endless games of foosball. Between games, step onto the balcony and revel in the crisp mountain breezes.
Moonlight Lodge’s downstairs great room has yet another impressive TV, below which is a stone-surround fireplace. On brisk winter evenings, the fireplace bathes the luminous wood-planked walls, floor and ceiling in a welcoming golden glow. Gather around for après-ski drinks, a game of charades or lively conversation. Moments like these are often the best part of vacationing with your nearest and dearest. The room’s leather couches are comfortable spots for curling up with a book or stretching out with your tablet to surf the web via the free Wi-Fi.
The great room’s dining area includes two wooden tables and a third, smaller one so that more than two dozen people can sit down for a meal at once. And the kitchen has everything you need to cater for a crowd, including two ovens/stoves, two refrigerators, two microwaves and two dishwashers. The savvy layout, with generous counter space and elbow room, allows for multiple chefs to work their culinary magic at the same time. Moonlight Lodge has a charcoal grill outside as well, so you can satisfy any cravings for barbecue.
When you arrive at Moonlight Lodge, you’ll find the beds impeccably made up, plenty of fresh towels for all eight bathrooms and extra bedding ready and waiting—no need to bring your own. In fact, because the cabin has a washer and a dryer, you can pack light. Be sure to pack your swimsuit if you’re visiting in the summer, though. The lodge is located in the Black Bear Ridge Resort, which has an outdoor pool.
Then again, given how much there is to see and do nearby, you might not find time to head to the pool. The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster, the Alcatraz East Crime Museum, Dollywood, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Parrot Mountain and Gardens are among the must-visit attractions within a 20-minute drive.
Moonlight Lodge offers something for everyone in your group: a convenient location, relaxing amenities, fun and games, and best of all, the chance to make memories that will last a lifetime. Don’t miss out, book your stay today!

Very easy to get to. Area properties very well kept. Inside absolutely gorgeous. Had everything to get started. Double appliances great touch. Would highly recommend.

Lots of room for all the families in our youth group.
One of the bathrooms upstairs has a small leak dripping into the bathroom on the first floor.
Other than that we would stay in the same cabin.

We were greeted by Steve who was super nice and then we met Victor and his cleaning crew such nice people!! We arrived early so we just drove around the mountains while it was ready. The house was big enough for our group. It was at a great price. The only thing that I would recommend is more rocking chairs or outside seating.

Needs attention
Large enough for our29 people. Property needs alot of attention. Carpet needs replacing in all bedrooms but 1. No view at all from the cabin. Trees have grown up as tall as the roof top. I did appreciate the ample amount of dishes and linens to use. Not near enough garbage cans for that size cabin. Smaller cabins had twice as many. Was very difficult to check in and find the actual info since we never were given “a portal”. So alot of messages to the manager which was very inconvenient. I have no intentions of renting from this company in the future. Thats alot of money to pay to not receive better service. I am not one to complain but I feel this cabin is overpriced with the list of problems I sent the manager.

Unit needs some TLC.
Futon frames are wore out. And need to be replaced with new futon mattresses. Had roaches in the kitchen on the second morning. The cabin is needing a upgrade. As all cabins it’s age needs. We have stayed in this area several times and it fairly easy to get to. Lots of parking.
Theres not enough bad to keep us from renting again as long as there is some extra insect control and furnishing upgrade in the future.

Disappointing for that amount
It was nice at first glance but quickly we discovered the issues we'd seen on previous reviews that I hoped had been delt with. We found cockroaches in the kitchen, baby ones which means they're actively breeding. We had to buy our own stuff to spray around the counters so they would stay away from the food. One of the king beds box springs is so broken on one side my husband ended up sleeping on the floor instead of the bed. The downstairs thermostat doesn't work so therefore when it was 80°we got to hot and then when it snowed by the weekend we were extremely cold and had no way to heat the downstairs. I told them twice about these issues and never heard anything back on them. For that amount of money it wasn't acceptable living conditions with a group that size and kids that young. I would not recommend this place to anyone since I'd seen the reviews, assumed the problems had been delt with and trusted them to provide the basics (clean environment, beds not broken and heat/ac if needed) if this building was like this I would be skeptical of any of the other buildings as well. I hate leavening bad reviews but them never trying to fix these issues while we were there is highly unprofessional. Even if they communicated their inability to fix it or gave us a discount for the living conditions being less then appropriate I'd be more willing to be gracious in this review. It's sad that all seven families agree this was the worst cabin we've stayed at in Tennessee.

Cleanliness and shortage of towels and wash cloths
Upon entry into the cabin, 2 of the chaperones found 2-3 roaches walking around the kitchen counter top that did not look clean. And we ended up seeing a few more roaches while staying there. With the size group we had it wasn’t feasible to try and find another place to go. A blind had fallen in one bathroom upstairs and it had to be covered with a towel for women to have privacy. Olivia P did contact me later after informing the mgmt co of these issues and she did send a bag of towels and wash cloths but our group schedules made it impossible to find time for someone to come in and inspect the roach situation and repair the blind. We just tried to keep all good stuff completely put away when not eating and used Clorox wipes to thoroughly clean counter tops. Several in my group said they didn’t want to stay here anymore.

Good but…
Most everything worked fine for our large family. There were several electrical outlets that did not work. Some blinds were broken. Shower curtain torn. Leak under one sink. A futon was broken. Living room could use more seating.

False advertising
Moonlight Lodge (ownerJackson Mountain Homes)... I generally do not give reviews (especially bad ones), but I was very dismayed at how we were treated regarding this rental. We booked this property in September for our youth group to attend a retreat this weekend. The property was advertised on VRBO to have free cancellation up until mid-November, which was the only reason I booked it. In November, because of Covid concerns, we decided not to bring 30 teenagers to Pigeon Forge and I called to cancel (called and emailed multiple times) and was consistently told by VRBO that yes, the cancellation policy would be honored, but was told by the owner of the property that there as a clause in the rental agreement requiring a 48 hour cancellation from the time of reservation. VRBO would not force the issue and the owner would not back down, directly drafting our church bank account for the remainder of the reservation fee. Our church lost a lot of money because of this. We did have one young lady that had to attend the retreat because she was in charge of a vendor booth and stayed there. A lone person in a 40 person cabin. Sad.

Wonderful family trip despite some challenges
This house has lots of sleeping space. Lots of dining space and a well supplied kitchen. However, both microwaves had broken handles. One refrigerator didn’t cool at all. Fortunately it wasn’t cold because our air unit was frozen up and never repaired. We were offered a space heater that we turned down because we didn’t need it because of the mild weather. The floors were very worn and very dirty. Bathrooms were nice and clean. All in all we had a great family trip despite some challenges.

Great property!
Great property, we really enjoyed our stay. Location was excellent, a couple miles from Pigeon Forge but high enough that you have the mountain cabin vibe. We had enough rooms to accommodate our entire party. Check in and out was a breeze, communication was top notch thru the app. Some minor cosmetic issues in the kitchen (microwave handles broken), but they reached out if we wanted someone to come to fix it. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

We made the best of our stay, but very disappointed in the overall stay for the price we paid
The cabin is in desperate need of MANY repairs. Both handles on the microwaves were broken, the left refrigerator was not cooling, multiple TVs did not work, the pool table felt is ripped so really can't play pool, but the worst was the ROACHES. I bought Raid and sprayed all around the stoves and refrigerators but they are everywhere. I just pray we didn't bring them home with us. The owner needs to seriously take responsibility to get this rental up to the advertisement he displays. I will say the customer service was very responsive and courteous however, they can't fix the issues. When you pay this kind of price, you shouldn't have this many issues.

Overall nice.
A few of the appliances need upgraded/or didn't work right. Did not receive our door code, wifi passwords, or check in information through the portal that was sent to me. I had to call to get those. Overall nice cabin.

It was just okay.
There were a lot of minor repair needs evident. Broken microwave handle broken glass shelf in fridge. Remotes not working ( we bought batteries) bathroom fans some didn’t work. Burn hole from iron in one carpet. Ripped pool table felt missing foosball that was deliver the next evening after reporting. The property could use a little attention

Great Stay
The trip was great over all. Communication with the property manager was quick and easy and any and all questions we had were answered in a timely manner. The cabin floors could have used a good once over and there were minor things needing repair but other than that the whole place was very well kept. I would stay again

The property was great and the stay was great. Everyone really enjoyed themselves.

Great cabin for a large group
We had a group of 33 staying here ranging in age from 1 to 80. We had plenty of room and we’re able to spread out. I really liked that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The only issues we had were with the people staying in the cabin next to us having so many vehicles they kept blocking us in. We had to ask them multiple times to move. Also, there was a water leak dripping down from the upstairs bathroom into the bottom bedroom, but we called maintenance and they came right out. Overall a great experience.

Very disappointed
Very disappointed in cabin, when I first pull up to the cabin trash was flowing over the trash can from the last guest. Second couldn’t get into the cabin with the code that was provided, once I walk into the cabin it was so hot I felt like I was standing outside, third sent my kids to the swiming area they was told they couldnt swim without a pass! That was false there no pass needed. Fourth one of the bedroom had no blinds or curtain up, fifth none of the tv work! Last but not least number Six the hot tub was dirty.. I call about all these thing only issue was fix was the tv and air.... Also later that night we had a bear outside of our cabin going Through the trash that the previous guest had left cabin!!!!

Cons: The AC did not work in 2 bedrooms making them completely unusable. I contacted maintenance and they claimed it froze and to try to turn the ac unit on again after 6pm and it still didn’t solve the problem. The Garbage after arriving was already full outside So we had to store large bags of trash in the small kitchen. Poor lighting around the hot tub area. Remote to the tv by pool table did not work. Lots of bumble bees near hot tub. The bees seemed to have made holes into the wood. Just needs lots of attention to detail.
