Overall the property is ok.

Location and view

We only have a small roll of toilet paper which is left over from previous tenant which is Not enough for my family of four to use. No shampoo and soup.

Comfortable house with laundry facilities

We liked the spacious house and laundry facilities. The location was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The downstairs area was very clean and well heated.

The cleanliness was lacking a bit upstairs, the stairs and upstairs flooring could use a mop. The lounge also needs a steam clean/replacement, it had some stains on it and I kept losing my phone down a big gap in the back of the couch which was filled with crumbs from previous guests. There were no cushions provided on the couch so it was a bit uncomfortable and we had to get some off the beds downstairs.

Convenient location but hosts are stingy and accommodation is dated.

Proximity to tourist attractions. Comfy beds and spacious, reliable hot water. An ok stay but need major updates to make it cosy.

There was a funky smell upon entry which required airing out. Lack of clear direction on kindling, which they did advise after messaging, but lighters/matches were out, and we had to purchase our own. There was a lack of general supplies and they could be proactive about providing efficient waste and supplies solutions, be prepared to bring your own. In addition the space is poorly laid out with dated and sometimes broken furniture, it feels like someone left behind their forgotten items from the 2000s/2010s, TV included.

Extremely comfortable and a great location!

Location is wonderful. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious. The kitchen and living room had everything we needed for the days we stayed. We used the laundry and clothes line which was perfect after hiking Mt Cook. Terrific experience overall!

The cons were minimal. The windows were smudged, which made the place feel dirtier than it was. The deck was wonderful, but I’d recommend replacing the outdoor seat cushion (or just getting rid of it). It ruined the pants I was wearing by leaving white fuzz all over. It was unfortunate given no drier or lint roller to clean them off.

Gemütliches Haus unter tollem Sternenhimmel

Gemütliches Haus mit viel Platz. Schöner Ausblick vom Balkon und freundliches Personal. Lage super, um Ausflüge in die Umgebung zu machen. Dank deren Empfehlung im Gästebuch, haben wir einen tollen Flug bei Red Cat um den Mount Cook und die Gletscher gemacht.

Die Küche ist spärlich ausgestattet, ohne Ofen und nur mit zwei portablen Herdplatten. Ebenso ist kein Geschirrspüler vorhanden. Auch die Pfannen haben leider schon bessere Zeiten erlebt. Ansonsten können wir die Unterkunft empfehlen.

Whole house with everything you need to be comfortable. We especially loved the fireplace and were given permission to use it. Great location in the town and it is a very cute little house.

Comfortable & warm. Excellent shower, spacious bathroom, plenty of kitchen utensils.

Compendium info out of date, cook top very slow, side table/reading lamps only on one side of the bed. Some instructions unclear e.g. temperature to leave heat pumps on departure, lock box instructions once opened. Concerns re health issues with no dishwasher.

There is no shampoo in the bathroom. It’s fine if don’t provide, but it would be great if been noticed advanced.
