Niagara-on-the-Lake was originally the site of a Neutral Nation village known as Onghiara. Following its resettlement, by British Loyalists, the village became the first capital of Upper Canada in 1792. The British, along with Six Nations forces and other Native allies, fought Americans for control of this strategic town and region during the War of 1812. Famous Native leaders such as Joseph Brant, John Norton, and John Brant walked these hallowed grounds while they forged and maintained diplomatic relations with Sir William Johnson, John Butler, Sir Isaac Brock, and other historical figures who collectively shaped and defined the borders and character of a new nation.
Six Nations House is appointed with artefacts and decor to respectfully recognise the Six Nations and Native ally contributions to the development of Canada.

Our stay at this beautiful VRBO property was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, the house exceeded all expectations. The interior was traditional, spacious, and clean. The living area was cozy with comfortable furniture and a large TV, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the appliances and utensils we needed, making it easy to prepare meals. The bedrooms were comfortable with soft linens, and the beds felt like sleeping on clouds. The bathrooms were spotless, with plenty of towels provided. Each bedroom had its own ensuite. The attention to detail in every room made our stay feel incredibly welcoming. One of the best parts of this house was the outdoor space. The location was idealclose enough to local attractions, but tucked away enough to give us a peaceful, secluded feel. The host was responsive and provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out. Overall, I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. We can't wait to return for our next vacation!

This was a last minute trip for a few days with our teens. The property was larger than we needed but we are so glad we booked it. Great location. Easy in and out. Look forward to coming back soon!

Overall the stay was wonderful. All 4 couples would have appreciated an extra blanket in the beds. The fan makes a rattling noise constantly. We shut the fan off. If the furnace needed to come on then fan would run but at least we didn’t need to listen to it 24/7. It was disruptive to sleep and quite loud.
Beautiful location and enjoyed the area.
Lovely home!

Excellent property and great location. Only issue was the presence of midges everywhere. Must be a seasonal thing. Would not hold us back from returning. But we'll come prepared with repellent.

The Six Nations house was really nice! Interior was very clean, tastefully decorated, and spacious. Having four bedrooms with their own en-suite with a shared half bath is the only way to go. We will attempt to rent this house for all future trips. Thanks!!

Just a lovely time and place to connect with our “snowbird “ Florida friends. Plays, wine tasting, games, Niagara Falls…all so fun. Highly recommend “A Short History of Niagara” if you haven’t seen. House was well equipped and comfortable for 4 couples.

Family Wedding
This property was perfect for our family. Each couple had their own bed and bath. Washer and dryer in the basement which was great for a week long stay. Well equipped kitchen. Only negative was that for a week long stay we needed to wash the towels in between.

Wonderful New Years weekend!
Six Nations house is exactly as advertised. The bedrooms are well appointed and the house was spotless. We had a small issue with the BBQ and an email to the property manager had a replacement BBQ on site within 45 minutes. They could not have been more accommodating!
Thank you so much!

Excellent location and cozy home
The entire experience from reserving to enjoying was a great one. Beds were extremely comfortable.
I would add two items to upgrade it to an even better stay, a nice pan for eggs as the ones available are not good; and the addition of a Chromcast option to the TVs so that they can be used with the guests’ own Netflix to watch on demand movies.
With those additions this home would be just perfect.
We would gladly rent it again if we had the chance!!!
