Beautiful house fully setup. Bbq pavilion, tennis court, alpacas and goats are a bonus. 15 min flat walk to main street.
4.5
Very clean, comfortable stone cottage.
Wood fire.
Airconditioner.
Bath to shower in is a bit narrow.

A great character filled cottage that was very comfortable with great facilities. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the shower was great. Aircon in the main living area was very effective. All the necessary items were available, including a washing machine. The kitchen utensils were clean and well stocked.
Although we hadn't booked the main house and it proved to be an excessively hot weekend (43° each day), we weren't able to utilise the pool. There weren't any guests in the main house, and maybe the pool could be made available for a small charge in this situation.

Great place to stay. Very homely and comfortable. It's clean and tidy and has all the amenities you could want.
It was lovely having the farm animals outside your home. There's an outside playground for the kids and an indoor space for them to play.
It's just down the road from the main street.
4.5
Quirky historical features, full kitchen in middle of farm. Fun animals nearby- goats, chooks and friendly alpacas!
4.5
Lovely semi rural outlook at the back.
East & West verandahs.
Thoughtful & comfortable furnishing & equipment
Perhaps some shrub screening between the front of the property & the road would be nice.

Our first impression was of a rusty shed but it has been transformed inside -we just needed a comfy bed for two nights and that is what we got. We were away all day so didn't have time to enjoy the animals
There was nowhere to hang up our clothes - I believe it is still work in progress as there wasn't much in the way of a garden.

Pendle Cottage was beautiful inside and out. Gayle, the owner, was very communicative and helpful.
We were concerned we would be cold, but the recycle air conditioner worked well, and we were warm.
The grounds are lovely and it is very peaceful.
There was really not much to complain about, to be honest. At one point, there was a strong 'farm' small outside, but that is natural due to the fact there are goats, chickens, and alpacas not far away.

The communication from the host was amazing and response quick
Would love to come back when the house is all fixed and at it’s full potential

Cottages are cute, comfy and very cosy, the animals added a little extra. Having a coffee machine made the mornings watching the animals perfect. Wood fire was a gorgeous bonus. The decor matched the location, and was very comfortable.
The kitchen had everything you need to cook and having the small extras you often forget (salt, pepper & cling wrap) definitely made life a little easier.
The cottages had piles of dust built up under the bed & on the window sills, causing quite a few sneezes, we found the last guests items under the bed, meaning vaccuming or sweeping between clients didn't occur, in the bedrooms.
The cottages need some maintenance, door handles didn't work properly, we couldn't close the bedroom door in one cottage for fear of not being able to get out.

Great location for York. Comfortable bed and all the amenities you will need for a short stay. An added bonus of numerous animals on the property - alpacas, chickens and a wallaby. Pendle cottage has its own garden with BBQ.
Nothing

Comfortable beds and kitchen with all needs covered plus spacious living. Outdoor area and bbq provided.
Tranquil surroundings and rustic design of the Settler's Cottage.
Host's quick response to any requests or messages was much appreciated.
Loved our stay. Great value.
Wifi was weak inside cottage but not a major issue.

property is beautifully furnished and has everything you may need for a trip away (as well as things you didn’t realise you needed).
I couldn’t fault the property

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful spot. The furnishings were perfect. The alpacas in the yard was a bonus
The bath was great but it moved a bit. Maybe it could be secured a bit more?
4.5
breakfast not part of the package
the house was very hot,, very dusty, and despite it saying it was the larger of the 3 cottages it was small and uncomfortable.
very very dusty ,, nothing smelt clean or fresh
too many knick knacks ,it felt like someones home not a holiday let

Pretty everything at this property.plenty of space for us 7 people to hang out together or to find a quiet place. Bedrooms all nicely refurbished. Comfy lounges and great outdoor areas.fully equipped kitchen which was great for all the cooking we did.pool was lovely.owners were very communicative and helpful. We all loved it
The only thing I did not like personally is there are no power points next to the beds so can't charge my phone.

location, peaceful, comfortable beds, great set up and layout. Great cottage.
dirty floors and skirting boards, dust under beds, lots of dead flies on the window sills, cobwebs on walls and window sills, microwave had food splatters on the inside.
The Cottage had a stale smell.

Lovely cottage, nice and quiet and comfy beds.
Kitchen was a little dirty. Items needed to be washed and cupboards were grimy.

Beautiful cottage with friendly hosts and mostly everything you need for a peaceful stay in beautiful York. Spacious and well-furnished and centrally located to all of York's points of interest. Watching the stars at night around the fire pit was just magical and so good to have so many things for the kids to do - the animals were great and kept the kids interested! Tennis court was lots of fun and watching Katie, the Kangaroo made it a very special stay for our boys.
Perhaps better fitting fly screens and front door screen to prevent the bugs from entering the cottage at night and allowing you to sleep with the bedroom windows open.
4.5
we enjoyed the Settler’s cottage very much.
I like all furnishing and good supplies for kitchen and bathroom. we like the heritage style house and enjoy the garden, Kangaroo and Alpaca.
4.5
Location was great, very close to Town. Cottage was clean with comfy bed, good bathroom, and great kitchen with lots of little extras like paper towel and glad wrap. Was great fun feeding the Alpacas, Chickens and Katie the Kangaroo-watching the Guinea Fowl flying up to their night-time roost was a highlight.
The toilet door needs a good sanding- was worried I'd pull the door handle off trying to get out and get stuck! Lounges are a little tired and needed some extra padding to make it nice and comfy.
4.5
traveling back to old colonial type of home, nature, fresh air and animals.
no Wi-Fi
