This cozy cottage on the bluff overlooking Cape Cod Bay is extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything you’ll need to feel right at home.
The Adirondack chairs overlooking the bay are just a few steps away from the cottage door. Each morning we’d have our coffee in those chairs as we enjoyed the sunrise, and watched the seals climb onto the rocks and splash around.
The Ellisville Harbor State Park is right next door. A half mile walk on the beach from the cottage and you’re at the inlet in the park.
This is a nature lover’s paradise. You feel like you’re far away from the world when in actuality, the grocery store, drug store, (liquor store lol) are all just a couple miles away.
The owner is an outstanding hostess. She reached out to us via text to be sure we had her number in case we had any questions or needed anything during our stay. She was very responsive and kind.
My husband and I are already talking about when we can return!

Margarethe is a most wonderful host and as it beoinf our 2nd year here, we are still glowing from the trip. Our dogs loved the beach as much as we did. Always a pleasure staying here. Please book us foe the same week next year. We are coming.

Our family of 2 older teens and 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed our week at this magnificent location! The cottage was exactly as described, containing everything we needed for our stay, including in the kitchen (we prepared most of our meals), bed and bath. The location on the bluff overlooking the bay was truly spectacular, and we spent much time watching the seals play down below, seeing the changing shoreline (remarkable from high to low tide), and shooting stars at night. Just a short walk down to the expansive and very quiet beach - Renee the owner welcomed us warmly and showed us the best spots for swimming (and even for floating down an inlet from the marsh towards the north end of the beach!) Being contiguous with the sparsely visited state park was incredible - often being among a few on the entire beach. New England at it's best! Recommend taking a quick right on the sandy path just before the beach entrance to follow the trails throughout the marsh - wildlife and serenity abound (stay on the trail to avoid poison ivy!) Just a 5 minute drive to the grocery store and seafood market. Convenient to Plymouth and ferries to Marthas Vineyard, but we were content to spend nearly all our time at the property! Highly recommend this amazing spot!

We had a great time staying on the property. It is a very peaceful location with beautiful views. There were an abundance of seals each day. The home itself was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.
The downfall is the beach access and beach use. It is extremely difficult to access using the available rope/logs route and the paths were all overgrown. The water was filled with seaweed and apparently always is according to the Ellisville park reviews as well. Fishing was impossible. I think added pictures of the beach access and normal water conditions would have been very helpful for this listing.
We enjoyed being very close to restaurants, stores and other family activities.
Overall we had a great time in the area but would not stay at this location again, due to the difficulty in accessing the beach.

My family had a wonderful stay at this cottage. I was pleasantly surprised at how private the location was. It’s a place where someone truly can unwind while listening to the wildlife and ocean waves. Often times, we were the only ones on the beach. The ocean view from the cottage was spectacular. The cottage itself was clean and had ample space. The couch was so comfortable and perfect for reading. I loved that I could bring my dog on vacation with me! We all enjoyed watching the seals, taking nature walks, and exploring this tranquil area. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Our family of three thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house nestled in the state park perched on a bluff overlooking the ocean.
The rental house is located right next to the owners’ summer home, but with nobody staying there, it felt quite secluded, but with easy access to downtown Plymouth and the Cape.
We took full advantage of the trail network right outside the door and of daily strolls down the beach. You can enjoy watching wildlife from the cliff side chairs.
We loved being just minutes away from restaurants, grocery shopping and even a gym while on this summer vacation.
The house was clean and comfortable upon arrival and had everything we needed (including towels and sheets). Margarethe was very responsive to our questions and they provided guides to the area.
The house was easy to maintain for the week and was a very family friendly experience.

The cottage was clean and private. It had everything we needed. It was the perfect size for our family of 3. The state park trails were close and made for an easy trek to the beach. We even saw seals out on the rocks.

The property was lovely. The cottage was very clean and had lots of secluded space. Access to restaurants and groceries was very easy to navigate. The gas grill and fire pit came in very handy.
Only problem for us was the lack of access to the beach. There were stairs but they were risky to use at best. There was also a path but I think because we had so much rain, the path was muddy and slick. Fishing was not easy.
We left batteries for the TV remote and full salt and pepper shakers. Lots of pots and pans and utensils in the kitchen for cooking.
Thank you.

Quaint cottage...great for older seniors who love the location & don't expect exotic quarters...got us to
Cape Cod Bay for a reasonable off-season price...great restaurants within 15 miles...Enjoyed Plymouth area...for us, a first...sunny, cool weather for the most part of our stay...needed a quiet,one-week break and we got it !!!

This is a gorgeous property and so peaceful! The cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing week. The trail down to the beach was only a few minutes walk and the beach itself is stunning - we even got to see a family of seals! There is a more adventurous climb down to the beach right next to the cottage but we'd recommend the trail. We enjoyed grilling and relaxing in the chairs on the patio, and had a crazy weather week with the heaters running one night and the fan in full blast another; heads up there isn't any AC but opening the windows for the ocean breeze helped. Margarethe was a wonderful host, and answered any questions we had in such a timely manner. This was one of our favorite rentals that we have ever stayed at and we are looking forward to coming again!

The cottage is a wonderful private escape. Communication on arrival and location was smooth and check in was a breeze. The property is gorgeous! Sunrises overlooking the bay with the seals were a beautiful daily treat. The adjacent walking trails in the park are well marked and peaceful. The beach expanse is a lovely walk with sandy spots to splash in comfortably.
This was the perfect quiet family getaway.

The property is exactly what I was looking for. I met the owners who are fantastic people and so nice with my two Italian Greyhounds - who loved exploring the beach. The quiet was perfect.
I will be renting again for sure.
