Lovely well- appointed home in quiet neighborhood. Gorgeous deck, yard, well stocked kitchen, and loads of amenities. Can't wait to stay again!

Very comfortable feel. Our hosts thought of everything! The kitchen and bath were well stocked and there were extra linens if needed. There was a helpful printed guide to the home, with instructions for checking out and the location of things light flashlights, and how to operate tv. The cornhole set is gorgeous, we had fun playing that and sitting outside in the shade.

This was the best vacation cottage we have ever stayed at. Everything was clean and new looking. The location was quiet with a great yard and firepit. All amenities were provided. We would love to stay there again next year.

Wonderful place to stay -- would give it 10 stars if I could. Pleasant little cottage with a great location, quiet place in the woods but still fairly close to Ludington. Wonderful welcome in the form of delicious muffins left for us! The cottage is extremely well-supplied, with typical items (paper towels, soap, toilet paper) as well as unexpected thoughtful things (first aid kit, dog biscuits for our pooch, laundry soap and dryer sheets, spices, books, toys for kids, the list goes on and on). Our hosts were responsive, answering texted questions promptly. Overall an awesome place to stay. We would certainly stay here again!

This was a great place to stay! The owners left muffins in the kitchen. They thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and like home. The owner even contacted me to say that a few of my belongings were found in the driveway. She was happy to mail them back to me! Very pleased and would stay again

This house was perfect for my me, my husband and our dog! We have been to ludington before and it’s one of our favorite vacation spots and this house was perfect for our stay! It was nice and clean with everything we needed, including some delicious bakery style cinnamon rolls! This place is in the perfect location where sterns park (our favorite beach) is less then a 15 minute drive, along with the shops and restaurants! Cannot say enough good things about our stay, will definitely be booking again on our next trip.

We love staying here and it’s why we keep coming back! This was our 3rd summer vacation here and it never disappoints. The house is always very clean and welcoming. The hosts are amazing and made sure we had everything thing we needed. They even warned us about a strong thunderstorm storm coming through overnight and how to be prepared. It was very kind and thoughtful.

We stayed 6 nights. The cottage is well stocked, clean, remote (in the woods) with lots of deer roaming around. Very close to public small boat launch. Communication with host was fast and courteous. We took our small dog and all went well. Large deck with gas grill. We would stay there again.

The home was superbly clean and perfect for two. We thought we could live there. Fall colors were beautiful and we saw deer coming through the neighborhood every night.

The house is lovely and comfortable. We had rainy days but enjoyed being in. Dan and Dawn were immediately responsive to questions and even showed up with fresh batteries for the camp lantern when the power went out!

House and property were clean and well equipped. We only ate out once and used the kitchen for breakfasts and dinners. Owners supplied everything one could hope for. We used the outside firepit each night, and even the wood was supplied.

The house was very clean. The setting in the trees was wonderful. Very quiet. The house had everything you could need for a very comfortable stay. Loved the muffins. Want to stay again.

The property was exactly as presented. It was clean and inviting. There was so much attention to details and little extras like a welcoming couple of muffins (yum!), lots of condiments and supplies on hand, and lots of suggestions on places to eat and things to do. Dawn checked on us to be sure all was going well. We completely enjoyed our stay!

There are other houses/cottages all around, but it was a really, really quiet place. Loved that about the place. A little bit out from Luddington, which I wasn't expecting, but only a short drive. Saw deer, turkey, and chipmunks wandering the neighborhood.

Needing to be in Ludington for business on a Monday and Tuesday, we rented the Linden Guesthouse for the Saturday and Sunday prior to create a nice weekend getaway. The cottage, location, and the weekend were all perfect. It was a great alternative to the normal business trip accommodations!

Beautiful cottage near Lake Hamlin
Our family (including 2 children ages 1 and 5) really enjoyed our stay. The first thing we noticed was how extremely clean the cottage was (my mother-in-law kept saying this is the nicest VRBO we've ever stayed in). :) We also appreciated how child-friendly it was complete with a crib, box of toys, coloring books, crayons, beanie babies, beach toys, etc. Our children loved it! It was very quiet and a short walk to Lake Hamlin and a short (10-min) drive to Ludington State Park which is a true gem. We also appreciated the yummy muffins from a local bakery and cream left for us for our coffee (which they also had plenty of). All of the small touches really exemplified the hospitality offered by our hosts. We would definitely love to come back next summer!

We had a wonderful stay at this little wooded cottage. It was my husband and I, our twin one year old girls, and a beagle. Everyone enjoyed the stay. The cottage was super clean and it is apparent that the hosts takes pride in their place. Dawn even contacted me prior to us arriving to see if we needed half and half for our coffee. We didn't have to bring anything extra for our stay. Shampoo, plenty of toilet paper and paper towels, bath towels, coffee, and spices are all provided. We enjoyed breakfast on the lovely deck and even saw 2 deer running through the wooded area. The bathroom has been newly remodeled and has a fabulous shower. The cottage is a short 10 minute drive to wonderful restaurants, the beach, and the state park. The information sheet found in the kitchen has several awesome recommendations for restaurants. We weren't disappointed.
Thank you, Dawn and Dan for a wonderful stay. Your peaceful cottage was just what we needed for a long weekend getaway.

Dawn & Dan have thought of darn near every need you could have while away from home...even extending outside, providing all you need to make s'mores and use the fire pit. By far, it is the most "guest thoughtful" VRBO or one from their competitor (which VRBO won't let me name) that we have stayed at. Just wonderful hosts who make their short-term rental home feel like a home you would feel very comfortable spend a long time in.
Location was excellent: in a wooded neighborhood but not too far from the water and just 10+ minutes from downtown Ludington. Yet, it was far enough away to avoid what I am guessing is a bunch of tourists during high season, which we missed coming up there in October.
Dawn and Dan's recommendation on the Chuckwagon for pizza (and phenomenal subs) was spot on. I wish they were open for lunch too. Regardless, stunningly fantastic! The Q barbeque was excellent as well, with a unique (in a good way) barbeque chicken, as well as great brisket chili and smoked pastrami.
Be sure to visit the State Park very near by and do the lighthouse trail: amazing sand dunes and a beautiful lighthouse that you can go up in. Also, on a nice night, go to Shear's beach or the boat launch pier right next to it to catch the sunset and watch the ferry come in (season just ended for it).
Thank you for a wonderful stay and for allowing us to give our dog a great bucket list trip.
