About this cottage rental

Welcome! Come and relax in this recently updated quaint cottage. This adorable 1-bedroom 1940's cottage is located near Hamlin Lake very close to the south bayou. Features one bedroom with a queen bed, one bathroom, kitchen with a gas range, cozy living room with a sofa sleeper, TV, wifi, board games, covered patio and a firepit to enjoy! Walking distance to boat rentals, ice cream, and beautiful sunsets or a 10-minute drive to downtown, the beach or the beautiful Ludington State Park.

We have kept the vintage charm while making it a comfortable vacation cottage. Light and airy bedroom with a cozy bed and soft linens. Covered patio to enjoy your morning coffee. There is a grill if you want to fry up some burgers for lunch as well as a fully stocked kitchen. Evenings can be spent at the firepit where you can roast marshmallows, tell stories and make memories. Going to the beach? Beach towels and chairs are provided. We do have two bikes available, just let me know and I can have those ready for you. If it is a rainy day, snuggle up on the couch with blankets a movie or a good book. Games more your thing, we have those too! Set it up in the living room on the coffee table or dining table and let the competition begin!

The cottage is yours for your stay! Two parking spots are available behind the cottage next to the white garage. We ask that there is no smoking inside the cottage.

Are you bringing your small fishing boat? There is boat launch 300 feet from the cottage on the South Bayou. We look forward to your stay!

This property is well situated, close to Stearns beach, downtown, and the State park/Hamlin lake. It is very cozy and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the sleeper was reported as comfortable by our 5 and 7 year old kids. We love visiting Ludington and this relaxing place added to the fun we had, making everything easy.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The space is very cute with all sorts of great design touches. We had two little ones with us (2 and under) and there was enough space to fit both portable cribs in the bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom were small but had everything we needed. The host was very friendly and prompt in all communication. I would absolutely rent this place again, but a few things I wish I would have known first with kids: The only way to get into the unit is down a few metal grid stairs. Totally easy for adults but a little tricky for young kids/strollers. The front living room has no curtains or shades so there isn’t too much privacy anywhere but the bedroom/bathroom and in the summer the it gets light very early. The unit also does not have any A/C. We were able to stay pretty cool with the fans running but this is just something to keep in mind if you need to sleep cold. Ultimately we really enjoyed this spot! We think you would like it too!

This very sweet cottage was perfect for our weekend get away. It is cozy, well decorated, and comfortable. The only issue we had was the bed was pretty uncomfortable and my husband slept on the couch the 2nd night as a result.

This cottage was everything we needed for a beautiful weekend of relaxation and to recharge our batteries. We celebrated a birthday and the homeowner even left a couple birthday cupcakes in the fridge for us as a check-in surprise. The attention to detail here was perfection, the cottage is so cozy and comfy. Everything was clean, gorgeous decor, and such a nice outdoor area for morning coffee and late night adult beverages. The proximity to the beach and downtown area was amazing, just about anything was within a 10 minute drive. We cannot wait to come back again! Thank you so much!! :)

This was a perfect size and location for us. Absolutely spotless (makes me want to clean MY house) with everything needed appliance-wise and for throwing together a quick dinner. Very quiet neighborhood which was important for us given we like to be largely disconnected, enjoying some peaceful reading and "being" time. The only issue we had was with the comfort of the mattress which we had issues with but that's subjective. Very definitely would rent again.

We had a nice stay at this cottage. Quiet location in a wooded area was peaceful, but it was just a short ride to the state park and to Stearns Beach/Downtown Ludington. Hosts were very communicative, kept us informed of issues and the place was clean and well appointed.

Lovely stay, quaint cottage. Patio setup lovely to enjoy outdoors in the shade. Even though no AC, didn't need it; the couple of fans worked great at circulating air. A few minutes away from the beaches, Ludington, and state park.

First, the host was very responsive with all communications. The cottage was very tranquil and cozy. We sat by the fire pit and read. We wandered over to Big Sable. This was a battery recharge and the Cozy Cottage hit the spot.

Came up to fish Salmon. Just a lovely cottage just a couple miles outside of town. The beach was but a mile away and Hamlin Lake a stones throw from the cabin. A really great place to stay. Very clean with everything you would want. Thank you, Craig and Robin

Thanks, Andrea, for a great stay. Everything was perfect -- so clean, trendy and high quality. We felt treasured as guests! The ONLY thing we would change would be the addition of a window air conditioner, but we were thankful for the ceiling fan and the stand fan that was supplied! :) Thanks for being such a great hostess!

We got to Ludington a couple hours prior to check in with our bikes in tow. Andrea was kind enough to let us park in the driveway so we could go on a bike ride as soon as we arrived. She always got back to us right away if we had any questions. The cottage is located about 4 miles from Downtown Ludington and 3 miles from Ludington State Park. We hiked, biked, went to Stearns beach, and shopped downtown. Everything was so close. We cooked all our meals for the day, Andrea had everything we needed in the kitchen. For beach day she made sure we had beach chairs to take. She had beach bags on hand and a cute picnic backpack that we used to pack our lunch. The bonfire pit in the back was great, good way to unwind after an active day. The cottage was clean, spare linens and blankets were provided for the main bed and sofa bed, good pillows, plenty of towels/wash cloths in the bathroom. She also had spare toiletries and toothbrushes in case you forgot to bring those things. Overall, great place to stay. We would definitely book here again.
