Hello, our stay was great! The home was clean & welcoming. Weather was great when we arrived-last day rained & made a cozy fire. Quiet neighborhood too.
Just a few notes - have never stayed at a VRBO where you had to wash towels & put in dryer. I get it’s easy - but we did pay a housekeeping fee. Plus, old flowers with nasty water on table- tossed out. Also, how much effort is there to provide a box of tissues & a spare garbage kitchen bag? Use your booking fee to at least provide these to your guests.

We had a great stay. This was our 2nd time in this house and will be returning. For the most part it has everything you need although it could use an upgrade on a few items (linens and knives or maybe just a sharpener). It could stand to have a deep clean as well. But all in all great place with a beautiful view. Thanks for sharing your home!

Great location and communication with property management. View was beautiful. Definitely can use a really good cleaning and we ended up using our own blankets because two of the comforters were dirty. The yard for our dog did the trick but it is small, she didn’t stay in the yard long.

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home and hope to repeat the experience. We have usually stayed closer to the beach, but as much as we have loved those vacations, the peaceful neighborhood, friendly neighbors, and the pleasant surroundings of the cottage made this one of our best times at Yachats. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need, there is an excellent library right in the front room, and if you like puzzles, there are many beautiful ones to choose from. Someone has carefully chosen artwork to display, which added to the feeling that this has been a happy home and we are lucky to be able to visit.The fenced dog yard was great, but if you have a large dog, you'll want to take lots of walks with him/her as there is not enough space for a big dog to run and play. And because the house is on a bluff, the street is quite steep for cars and people. None of that diminished our time there. And the walk to town and the beaches below is a pleasure. There was a mechanical problem with the clothes dryer, but a call to Ocean Odyssey brought a repairman early the next day and we were back in business with a washer and dryer.The most wonderful thing was the view of the ocean, which we could also hear very clearly at night. We were there for a full moon, and that view of the full moon over the dark ocean from the balcony was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen.

The house had a great location. My husband and I enjoyed being in between Florence and Newport. The house is a little aged but still nice.
We didn’t spend a lot of time at the property but it was a comfortable place to come back to after our adventures. The only thing I would change is the furniture in the living room, maybe a sectional would work better. Also a foam topper for the mattress or upgrade to a bigger bed in the master bedroom would be nice. Other than that it was great.

My sister and I enjoy our once a year trip to Yachats every October in memory of the loved ones we've lost in October. Peter and Katie at Ocean Odyssey are wonderful hosts and make our stay a real treat. We love Pacific View as it has a fireplace which is a real treat.

We stayed here from Sept. 10 to Sept. 24 and home was as described, clean and well stocked, close to all amenities and ocean view. Only issue was a few tight fitting interior doors that we could not close, management was informed so hopefully it has been fixed. We had a great stay and would recommend this home.

The house is a comfortable size and in a good location with ocean view, however the property inside and out needs a thorough deep cleaning. Bathroom floors were not moped and the rugs were not laundered. The bed linens might have been cleaned, but there was a stain on the master bedsheet (yuk). Also the rug in the master bedroom is a tripping hazard as it bulks up! Lots of dirt under the rugs in living and dining area and garbage under master bed. Towels were placed in odd spots, including under the sink with cleaning supplies and not all folded, so we washed all of them before use, as we could not trust they were clean. Items in closets were not neatly stored and extra blankets were waded up on the floor. There was open food left in kitchen cupboards from previous occupants and we had to spend time cleaning various drawers and some of the refer before use. I read previous reviews, most saying home was very clean, but since we did not have that experience I am hoping this review will give the owners some insight and the house will be thoroughly cleaned for future occupants, and maybe someone needs to inspect it to be sure it is ready to rent. Beside all this, we had a wonderful time with family and the weather was perfect!

Great little house. It had everything we needed and within walking distance of beach, shops and restaurants . House was clean although could use an update on linens. Furniture was comfortable and view as great. Perfect home for a small family. I would definitely recommend and plan on coming back!

Stayed for four nights with my elderly mother and my small dog. Perfect location with view of the ocean (you can hear the waves all night if you crack a window, so dreamy!). Sit on the deck and watch the sun set over the ocean. Great location; Yachats is a cute little town with everything you need. This house was very clean and comfortable. Met several neighbors while walking the pup and they were all super-nice! The next door neighbor lady is not nice but luckily I met her as we were packing up to leave, I suggest you just ignore her. This house is so worth it and I can't wait to come back again for another stay. Thank you!!!

My kids and I had another amazing vacation on the Oregon coast, loved the house, very nice and roomy inside, the view from the deck is amazing, very conveniently located on the coast, tons of beaches within 30min north or south. Fell in love with the town of Yachats. We will definitely be staying here again if we can.

Absolutely amazing place to stay, i will be staying there again. Started my day out on the deck with a sunrise and ended my day in the same place with a sunset. Beautiful views, wonderful location, I could keep going on and on about all the positive. The only negative thing i have to say is in not the owner lol.

This home was very clean and had all the necessities, including plenty of towels (very important if you're visiting the beach). The home is nicely furnished and the beds are very comfortable. Our only recommendation is that a small sign with the house number be placed more prominently on the property. We came in late at night and weren't sure we were at the right place until we tried the lockbox.

Lovely place to stay
This is a really sweet, tasteful house in a nice quiet neighborhood. The house is obviously a family vacation home, and it is filled with genuine touches of décor, and many books, stuffed animals, etc. Very, very cozy. My only complaint is that the communication prior to check-in was really minimal. I called and emailed the property manager and got no real response until right before check-in. They sent me the check-in instructions and information the morning of our first day. It all worked out, but I would have appreciated a little communication or confirmation regarding check-in info ahead of that day. Especially since this is a house that includes a list of things you should bring, such as back-up paper products, soaps, firewood, paper for fire-starting, etc. It would have been good to know that earlier for planning. In the end, it was a fantastic stay.

Cozy with some quirks
We liked the layout, the home has great views of the ocean, and it was comfortable. Kitchen isn’t the best stocked (could definitely use some baking sheets and a coffee grinder!) but had most of what we needed. House shows some sign of wear and tear but is cozy and functional. Our toddler especially loved the darling stuffed animals in her room!

The house is very nice and clean it seems newly renovated. The view from the porch over the ocean is unbeatable. Only complaint is parking just horrendous if you have more than one vehicle. Most definitely would recommend

We had to call VRBO 2x to get the check in information from the property manager.
VRBO helped us out.
Some suggestions for the property: outside table and chairs were filthy, clock in kitchen needs batteries, provide some soap for the showers, windows and sills were nasty dirty.

This 3 br 2 ba house is on a slope which allows for nice views of the ocean from the deck. It is an easy walk to the water's edge, tide pools and to the center of Yachats. The layout of the house allowed for kid bedrooms and parent bedroom to be on opposite ends, with family room/dining area in the middle. A small fenced in yard was nice for the dog, and the quiet neighborhood was nice for a walk. This was a really great value as a base of operations for our family to explore some of the natural beauty of the central coast. I would recommend it to a friend.

When we arrived, we were so happy to see that VRBO/Ocean Odyssey Vacation Rentals had cleaned and prepared this house for us during the pandemic. Every surface was spotless and we could tell that extra care had been taken to ensure our safety.This house is very tastefully decorated and well laid out for a small group, such as 4-5 adults and/or a child or 2. Nice artwork on the walls and some books to look through. The kitchen is very well stocked with plenty of dishes, pots, pans, utensils and salt/pepper. The beds were comfortable however it's worth noting that the pillows need updating. One flat as a pancake pillow per person is provided and we definitely were happy that we had brought our own from home. We had plenty of nice towels in the bathrooms and this rental does have all paper products. We were so happy that we could bring our dog, there is a pet fee but it's reasonable. There is mention of a dog run but you have to go through the garage to the back and there is a very small, weedy, fenced space to let a little dog out. We were not comfortable letting our shepherd out there at all. The only outside area for guests is the deck. The deck is smaller but has a large round table and 4-5 plastic chairs, so pleasant enough to sit outside as a group. There appeared to be an old gas barbecue in the garage but we didn't bother with it. The house is in Yachats, perched up on a hill and so the best way to access the town and beach is by car, a 2-3 minute ride. The neighborhood has lots of nice neighbors and a friendly feel. Yachats is an adorable, progressive thinking town with cute shops, cafes and bars. On Sundays there is a seasonal farmers market with crafts, produce and local meats and cheeses. Overall, a lovely place to stay and we would easily book this house again in the future.
